Beneath A Yankee Sky is the second in a series about were-bobcats, Remembrance “Brance” Brenneman and Caleb Chilson, and picks up from shortly after the end of Under A Confederate Moon. This story is told from the perspective of Brance, a man of few words, a direct result of his strict Amish upbringing, and a man used to being alone and depending on no one but himself. Brance is totally unlike Caleb, who needs constant companionship and keeps up a continuous chatter. We also learn how Brance became a were- bobcat in his youth in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and winds up in the Union Army during the Civil War.

After escaping and leaving the War behind, their adventures continue as they learn to live together, not just as lovers but as bobcats trying to claim their own piece of solitude in the wilderness. Unbeknownst to them, they’re not alone. There are hunters in the woods who want the bobcat’s furs and don’t care how they get them. Beneath A Yankee Sky shows us when a man, such as Brance, opens his heart to the man he loves and what he’s willing to do to protect their love when it’s threatened.

J.M. Snyder has written a fantastic story of love and adventure, filled with emotion, humor and hot sex! A beautiful story of two men, with such a strong connection to each other you can’t imagine one without the other. You won’t be able to help but fall in love with Brance and Caleb all over again, so don’t miss this book!
