Davin is not like the rest of the Alvian race, he is a throwback. Davin has emotions and because of his difference, he is under constant watch. Without a mate, he is doomed to go mad, but the Alvian take the risk. Davin is the most gifted crystallographer in their race and the energy from crystals is essential to the Alvian. Taking a break from his duties, Davin is touring the northern section of states, when he discovers Callie O’Hara. Upon landing, he goes to meet her. Callie is human with empathic gifts, she also proves to be Davin’s Resonance Mate.
When the Alvian attacked Earth, the only humans to survive were the ones with psychic gifts. In order to take control of Earth, the Alvian would capture humans and experiment with their DNA. Rick St. John had been held captive until Davin asked him to test for a crystallographer’s position. Rick accepted when he saw Callie and instantly fell in love with her. Rick’s healing powers not only worked on humans, but on the crystals also. When Davin discovered that Rick is more gifted than he is and also a resonance mate to Callie, Davin makes demands of the Alvian council to keep his mates safe and with him.
Davin’s Quest is a fabulous story of human nature and the role emotions play in our makeup. Bianca D’Arc characterized Davin as part of both worlds, he is Alvian with emotions. Davin exhibits the capacity to love and share everything that is essential to his life. This is a great storyline with sensual love scenes that I enjoyed reading. I look forward to more Bianca D’Arc adventures.
