Giovanni “Gio” Brunelli is a top advertising executive in Manhattan. His profession has allowed him to gain an exciting and lucrative career. One that doesn’t hold a candle to the small town life he had in Kansas City, the life he misses. Nino, Gio’s father, has a health condition that will require his son’s assistance while he recovers. The widower will need his son at home but Nino feels Gio could be of better use helping his business partner, Rafe, with the daily operations and hopefully discovering a way to save the company from going under. What a tangled web for Gio. He has escaped the trapping of the Big Apple, just to be thrust into confronting his feelings for Rafe Gargano: his father’s best friend and business partner.

Gio’s Dream reminds me of that old saying “out of the frying pan and into the fire”. Rafe was Gio’s teenage crush that morphed into true love. Rafe finds himself in a situation where he can finally express his feelings for Gio. Neither man is willing to walk away from what they have waited years to gain from the other. And while Gio and Rafe are coming to grips with their feelings, there is a dangerous enemy ready to kill them both if given the opportunity. Carol Lynne delivers romance, passion, hot erotic encounters and then combines dashes of humor, drama and suspense to keep the readers on the edge of their seats. This is a fantastic novel and I’m looking forward to reading more from Ms. Lynne.
