Amory has arrived at Settler's Mine, in search of his heartstone. His vow to the one he loves, dictates that he finds his stone and return home, and it’s a vow Amory has every plan on keeping. To find one heartmate is a wonderful treat but to discover two is rare and celebrated by all. Amory’s stone and fate’s wicked sense of humor have decided that Amory’s true mates are Zelda and Bren, the owners of the mine. Will Amory be able to deny his heart or will he give in and embrace the gift he is granted?

The Lovers is book two in the Settler’s Mine series. Amory is young and honor bound. When Zelda and Bren meet him, the attraction draws them to his presence like a moth to a flame. Watching Amory try to fight his attraction for the lovers was comical at best. I have to give him credit for giving it all he had, but it was a losing battle from the first glow of his heartstone. Zelda has become hardened a bit from life, but I believe that Amory helped give her back some of her softer side. And as for Bren, every woman should have a Bren in her life. The man was gorgeous with a sexual appetite that could keep a body in traction. But besides that, Bren had a heart full of love for his mates and was willing to do anything to keep them happy. Mechele Armstrong has written yet another wonderful installment in the series. I found myself yet again having a difficult time putting down the book. Fans and newcomers will find The Lovers to be a wonderful treat.
