Kinig has a fascination with the Dark Elves and asks for an opportunity to dwell among them. Though this is a dangerous situation, he welcomes the challenge and the opportunity to live with those who have fascinated him for so long. While learning of their past, Kinig has found part of his future by falling in love with Fallil. Over the passing cycles, the men fuse a stronger bond as friends and lovers, then a paler version of truemates. With no successful bonding of male couples, the chance for them to become eternal mates is a moot point.

Kinig travels to spread word of the elves and his name precedes him. Unfortunately, he is too famous for his own good, bringing him the unwanted attention of a mage and a red elf. The red elf, Nialdlye, has her own story when it comes to the mage she is in the keep of, and it will take their bravery and trust in one another to escape their mutual prison.

Just when I couldn’t imagine where Jet Mykles could take the Dark Elves series, I get the new installment delivered into my hands. I can’t say there was a dull moment in this new book. Fallid is the perfect mate for Kinig. The two share like passions, while their personalities differ enough to keep our attention. The story was moving and is sure to enlighten those who have followed the series over one particular mystery left hanging in previous books. Dark Elves 5: Discovery is a wonderful part of the series that will have fans holding on to their seats. I’ve gathered there is at the least one more book in the works, and if we are lucky and Ms. Mykles' imagination is up to the task, we may be fortunate to have a few more come our way. This was a wonderful addition to the series Ms. Mykles, and I’m looking forward to reading Dark Elves 6.

Hope Collins is one of three triplets who is a dancer at heart that wants to pursue a life away from home without her parent’s strict rules. Her intended Rhys was going to ask her father’s permission but Corbet does first without her knowing and kidnaps her by drugging her. Now she has escaped from Corbet Jenkins clutches to get as far away from him as possible.

Rhys Mochrie is a guardian and life mate for Hope and he will do whatever he can to protect her from Corbet’s persuasion. Once he finds her again, through the help of her friend, nothing will keep him from protecting her. When he faces him, Rhys does not expect for Corbet to be strong and using tricks which drains him but Hope steps in to save him.

Corbet Jenkins is obsessed with being King and knows that the only way to do that is to take one of the sisters for a sacrifice. While he smoothed his way with the father into accepting the marriage proposal without Hope’s consent, he takes advantage of the family. Now that she has defeated him, he is not giving up easily and they will have to warn the family about him.

I really enjoyed reading Deliverance, Si Ludo Sisters – Book 1, because it was different from the other stories I have read. The suspense kept me wondering about what was not said by the characters and I found it strange that the parents were keeping secrets from the daughters. These characters were very strong and connected to each other even though I found their behavior to be stiff. C.R. Moss has done a beautiful job of writing about love, bondage and deception and I am excited to continue with the next book in the series.

Engineering Director Michael Donaldson is hard at work on a project when he receives news of an accident in the warehouse and Chief Engineer Colin Marsden was taken to the hospital. Michael rushes out to see Colin’s condition for himself. Not only is Colin his best friend, he is also the man that Michael secretly loves. Colin feels the same way about Michael but has never admitted it. Playing a game of chess gives them an excuse to be together in hopes that they can move their friendship into something more.

Tactics is a heartwarming story of two friends growing into love. Both men are afraid of losing their bond, but they each desire a committed relationship. Stevie Woods has a talent for producing emotional love stories and Tactics is no exception. I enjoyed this saga immensely.

Lord Oliver Marsden has loved Lord Vincent Prescot far longer than he can recall. The threat of hanging is nothing in comparison to losing his lifelong friend. Oliver knows that Vincent indulges his need of men at a decadent brothel and if love won’t come to Oliver, then Oliver will go to love. He plans to help Vincent scratch his itch, with a bit of deception. Oliver didn’t know what he was getting into when he stepped into the bed chamber, but it’s too late to turn back when he discovers Vincent isn’t as mild mannered as he appears to be. Vincent doesn’t just request restraints, paddles and whips as decoration. He is a man with select tastes and knows how to use every instrument at his disposal.

With the dawning of a new day, Oliver comes away from the situation with his eyes and heart fully opened, and prepared to let Vincent in on their secret encounter. Will he lose his friend or gain the lover of his dreams?

Ava March brings a touch of history wrapped up in a bullwhip and chains in Bound by Deception. I loved both of these characters. They are both second sons whose love blossomed out of an unlikely friendship. Oliver is the opposite of Vincent. Where Vincent is handsome and wealthy, Oliver is nice looking but barely surviving. Truth be told, it’s actually Oliver who gives Vincent strength and love when he needs it the most. While it’s easy to understand Vincent’s feelings of betrayal, it’s also clear why Oliver took the road of deception to gain what he ached to have with the stunning Lord Prescot. When the truth finally came out, I was happy with Vincent’s overall reaction and doing the happy dance. Ms. March has written a wonderful historical novel filled with steamy skin tingling scenes, and just enough action outside of the bedroom to create a page-turner.

When Maeve realizes that she has a Fae in her kitchen and he looks like he could kill, she panics. Trying to be the witch her family expects and failing badly, there is almost nothing she won’t do to be better at performing magic. Maeve knows she will surrender to Ronan’s sexual manipulations but tries to resist for as long as possible.

Ronan, Prince of the Fae, finds himself locked inside his own moonstone ring for three hundred years until Maeve reverses the spell her ancestor did. Now that he is teaching her the correct spells and trying to show her how much she will enjoy their love-making, he thinks they are progressing well.

Bewitching the Faerie is wonderfully written and talk about a lot of hot sex, I needed a cool drink after reading this book! These two characters were perfect for each other and after Ronan got past his revengeful needs, there was nothing left but love. Cynthia Rayne’s writing sent me to a place beyond my wildest imaginations and I loved every minute of it. After reading this story, and it was a quickie, I wanted much more to read about these two lovers.

Jenni has known Jake, Adam and Chris since college and nothing in the years since has changed the depth of their friendship or commitment to each other. All the men are gay, and thus safe for Jenni, who has terrible taste in men, her relationships always ending painfully, because ‘she screwed up’. Concerned that Jenni doesn’t have a man of her own, Jake, Adam and Chris set out to find one for her, but their unorthodox search leads to complications, when Jake falls for the ‘straight’ man himself. Then there’s the little problem of Jenni getting strange e-mails from an admirer, which initially creeps her out, and her unexpected attraction to an area cop, Luis Morales, who rescues her from a mugger. These four friends always stick with each other through thick and thin, and that means no matter what stupid things they do, or who they love, there’s always a shoulder or shoulders to cry on.

Never Never Land is a complicated and intricately woven tale of friendship, commitment and love of four long time friends. All the characters are more than a little flawed, but in this case it only makes them more endearing, especially since none of them ever give up trying to not only keep their friendship together, but to find the happiness they crave. Ms. Harte even managed to seamlessly incorporate a couple of health scares that only makes the story more timely and believable. While the relationships between the friends is occasionally a little hard to follow, it wasn’t long before the author brought her readers back to center, moving the plot along at a nice pace that never left you feeling rushed. The story has several ups and downs, but by the end, I couldn’t help but smile as all four friends found their happily ever after.

Levi Kaszeri wants retribution for the brutal injustice issued to the mining colony on Tarus 9. It has taken twenty years to be in a position to serve up a bit of payback, but his career as a reporter allows him to expose the identity of the guilty parties.

While collecting information for his investigation, Levi is attacked by an unknown assailant. A young doctor named Tiergan Seoras saves Levi, thanks to a bit of quick thinking and even faster reflexes. The two hit it off, but Tiergan has a few secrets of his own, and is unsure of how much he can reveal without putting himself and others around him in harm’s way. The web of deception in this book travels further than Alice in Wonderland’s rabbit hole. Will their love be enough to keep their relationship and trust intact?

Astrid Amara knows how to deliver action, passion, suspense and drama. I absolutely loved A Policy of Lies. It’s so nice to have a book where you can’t predict the outcome or the motivation behind each character. For once I found myself stumped and shaking my head in disbelief. That’s something that doesn’t happen often. It was a refreshing treat and I hated to see the story end. With wonderfully written characters, a fantastic setting, and action that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this book is a gem of a read. Not to mention the fact that it also has characters involved in a relationship that takes time to grow and flourish. A Policy of Lies is a must read that will not disappoint those who enjoy futuristic suspense novels.

Raine is very shy and untrusting of men who have disappointed her in past relationships. When she takes a vacation away from work and goes home to do some serious writing, she is distracted by the handyman who takes an instant liking to her.

Jordan is a handyman who fixes everything broken in a house and/or structure. Knowing that he wants Raine with a passion surprises himself so much that he stays away from her at first. Being an artist, he has to paint her picture for his wall and when he does, it is so beautiful that she cries tears of joy.

Going Home Again is a wonderful story about a young lady who fantasizes about reality so much that when you are reading the book, you actually think everything is happening. These two characters are so attracted to each other, there is no stopping what will take place when they do come together. Raven Starr had done a fabulous job of taking you away from the real thing that when you figure out that it is just an imagination of Raine’s you are taken by surprise. This was a short book that needs a second one to continue the episode.

Frankie finally got his chance when he was house sitting for the Rumcrests and Gerald came home alone, after dropping his wife off at the shopping mall. Frank’s Fantasy is an interesting story of two men, both in the closet, hiding their true desires and finding ways to keep secrets. Thom Jaymes delivers a creative snippet of a May/December affair that imitates reality.

Bridgett Bonds is the rock star. The one person everybody wants to be and wants to be with. When her producer negotiates a $60 million record contract with her, the owner of Conspiracy Records is not happy. Serena Steins figures that she could potentially make more money off of the death of Bridget, than she would while she was alive, since Bridgett was getting older.

Serena and her group of followers set out on a murderous mission to get rid of Bridgett Bonds, the Bubble Gum Princess. Will they succeed?

I honestly didn’t know what to make of this book at first. Getting past the bad editing, both grammatical and mechanical was hard enough, but when Ms. Sneakly takes it to the extreme of inanimate objects being put, where they shouldn’t be, and I’m not talking vibrators, I draw the line. It grossed me out and that is hard to do. After another hundred pages, I thought it would liven up a little bit more; it really seemed to pick up. That was until I realized that the plausibility of the content was in serious question. There are just certain things that a person cannot do, while high.

I gave this book 1 Nymph for the sheer gross factor of one of the scenes, and an “A” for effort.

Juliana Westwood is a very strong psychic who is a financial planner by trade; she only wants a normal life without other people’s thoughts in her head, which she has to block for peace of mind. After relocating back home, she has her latest dream then contacts the police to notify them about the kidnapping. During a meeting with police, she sees Alex walk into the interrogation room; her heart drops to her feet and she can’t stop looking at him. So now she wants to get on with her simple life without any emotion, which will not happen with him being that close to her.

Alex MacKenzie is a homicide cop who takes his job literally and always gets his man. With all the history between him and Juliana, it will be harder for him to work with her on a kidnapping case she brought to their attention. He is so wound up from the kidnapping because it is his niece, and Juliana who is taken also, he may explode. Now that he has gotten around to admitting to himself what he really feels for her, he can get on with asking her to marry him and face things to come.

Chasing Shadows was so wonderfully written I had a hard time leaving the book to do other things. With all the mysterious secrets being kept by different characters and the truth being sought, the author kept me trying to figure out who was behind the kidnapping. From each person that was interviewed, their personalities said that they could possibly be involved. Erin Richards has done a great job researching psychic abilities and police officers and it shows in her book. The fact that Alex and Juliana’s love was so powerful even after years apart was the saving grace link that held them together through everything that was happening to them beyond their control.

Rick Wilson was a student working his way through college as part of Dr. Sarah Dalton’s experiments, who was studying the sexual response of the male organ. Now he is back, 5 years later with his own Ph.D., and he is looking to win Sarah Dalton’s heart.

Sarah had to throw out the research she gained from Rick because she almost violated the experiment protocol by having sex with Rick. She refused to be so moved again by a volunteer. Even at 41, Sarah’s libido is going strong but she is ashamed of her responses. Hopefully “Dr. Feelgood” can assist her.

Hot, Hot, Hot! I loved this story. It was great to read about a woman that had normal hang-ups about sex and her body. Ms. Gaines made these characters real and likeable. The emotions were what one would expect. I especially enjoyed when Sarah tried to move Rick along, despite her feelings for him. To me, Sarah was doing a typical woman-in-love reaction and then Rick’s response was perfect. In addition to great characters, the sex was incredibly well written and was what I am sure every woman wants. These characters had sensible, realistic problems and solutions. I would recommend Dr Feelgood to other readers. Great Job!

Laila Prescott has no choice but to return to Paradise Island when her brother goes missing. The island holds memories and the one man who broke her heart, PI Matthew Hardin. After two years of separation, the fire is still there and consumes both Matthew and Laila. Will this be their chance to rekindle their flame and have more than just passion between them? On the other hand, will their few days of ecstasy be all the couple could hope to gain from this meeting?

Laila’s Bargain is a story about love and second chances. Matthew’s childhood didn’t prepare him for relationships. He grew up not understanding how love looked, so he never knew that’s what he had with Laila until it was too late. Laila wanted a commitment and wouldn’t settle for less. I loved this about her character. Even when she walked away from Matthew, she knew her heart would be torn apart but she didn’t settle for less than what she rightfully deserved. This couple came out of the box needing a pack of cigarettes and a cool drink. They have an explosive chemistry in every setting. Laila’s Bargain is fast-paced story, and takes place in a beautiful backdrop. This book is definitely worthy of a read and doesn’t just deliver hot sex, but a wonderful plot and characters designed to grab your attention.

When she finds herself between Bryn and Kai underwater, she does not know what to make of it yet. From the beginning of their friendship, she knew she loved them but would not act upon it until now.

Bryn Murchison and Kai Murdoch are Talents, or rather mermen, who work for Department 57 and they both love Crystal. Now that they have her to themselves, there are no limits to what they will show her.

Department 57: Liquid Crystal was beautifully written and I loved every moment reading this story. To know that there was a love so strong between Bryn, Kai and Crystal had me hoping there would be more of their story at a later date. Lynne Connolly had done a fabulous job of bringing fantasy to life in these characters. The title kind of threw me at first until I got into the book and I am looking forward to the next one.

Mark Paulson is a young scientist who has acquired a taste for older men. The fact that his new boss is not only alpha supreme but also tall, dark, and handsome doesn’t help him keep things on a professional basis.

Steven Frost is a self-made millionaire. He has no trouble attracting the opposite sex, but the relationships never seem to last. Steven is bowled over by Mark’s attraction for him. What starts out as a simple affair leads to a dream of forever that becomes a honey-coated reality. But, every great romance has its problems. Will Mark be strong enough in the role of beta to love Steven unconditionally?

Lord and Master 2: Taking Work Home shows us the events that unfolded prior to the epilogue of Lord and Master. Steven is the kind of man that writers seem to develop with ease, but the real world sucks at delivering. He’s handsome, wealthy, successful, brilliant and one hundred percent alpha without being a bully. Mark is a shark in guppy’s clothing. While those around him take his position for granted, he is the perfect balance to Steven in the boardroom and the bedroom. I went back to read the first book and would recommend this to anyone who has not done so. I felt better prepared to enjoy the story and I was able to watch how the two men arrived at the point of the epilogue. This is a wonderful novel for those who have fantasies of a boss, his desk, and a view of the city as their backdrop.

Linda Winfree grants us with the story of District Attorney Tom McMillian. If you’re familiar with her books you’ll recognize him as the ex-husband of Kathleen Palmer, the heroine of Truth and Consequences. An ex-husband who still has feelings for his ex-wife, but unfortunately for him, with a new husband and a baby on the way, she has moved on. He made a promise to himself that he’d never get involved with a woman in law enforcement again, easier said than done.

Enter Celia St. John, who works as part of the Child Death Investigation Task Force and…she has the hots for her boss. The problem is, number one he’s an arrogant, narrow-minded jerk. Two, he’s still in love with his ex-wife. She’s already screwed up in a past relationship with her old boss. Not somewhere she wants to go again, but the chemistry between these two is undeniable.

Tom’s lose of his child to SID has affected his life deeply. He blames himself for not being able to save his son. He throws himself into every case and now a baby has died and he assigns Celia to the case. He expects her to handle the case with the same sense of precedence he does.

They uncover an illegal baby adoption ring is behind what appeared to be a simple case of child neglect. Tom is thrown in the light of suspicion when an ex-flame of his is found dead. With a list of suspects a mile long, Celia has the find the real murderer to save Tom.

In the midst of all the action, Celia and Tom find each other. The emotion between them is almost too much to contain, but all that has to fall to the wayside when a friend of Celia’s is found dead. Now her life is in danger, now it’s Tom who has to save her. They both risk everything to save the person they love.

Every time I read a Linda Winfree story I find myself so engrossed the rest of the world just disappears. Memories of Us, Book Five in the Hearts of the South series, is no different. Her knowledge of the law enforcement world impresses me to no end. It gives her stories the realism needed in romantic suspense today. There are more twists to this story than meets the eye.

She adds a little something to every story that leaves you with your jaw dropping to the floor, and that’s definitely a good thing. Linda Winfree in my opinion is one of the greats in romance. I am very happy to have discovered her work. She makes me a believer in the old adage that with love, you can conquer anything.

In keeping with her excellent style of writing, Linda Winfree brings us Autry Holton—a woman who broke off her relationship with boyfriend Stanton Reed, only to find out she is pregnant with his child. Should she tell him? If she decides yes, how does she tell him?

Autry is a public defender, not bad, until she is assigned the duty to work defending the same serial killer her ex--Sheriff Stanton Reed--is working to put away.

Now someone is stalking her, and who is there to keep her safe? That’s right, Stanton Reed. Stanton has made a few mistakes in his life and it has taken a toll on him. The bomb that Autry has to drop may finish him.

The pregnancy is finally revealed and of course, being the fine upstanding guy he is, Stanton wants to marry Autry. The only thing is, he’s been married before and the life of be being a father and husband has not been kind. Autry decides that marriage is not the answer.

As usual, Linda Winfree’s action and drama takes you to new heights. Through the storytelling you develop a feeling for her characters. You get to know them, as they get to know each other and themselves.

I am never disappointed with a book written by Linda Winfree. Her characters are so emotionally charged they pull at your heartstrings and make you care what happens to them. Anything but Mine, Book Four in the Hearts of the South series, is a love story with bite. One you won’t want to put down, but then again all of Linda Winfree’s books have the same effect. Take my word for it.

But when Cate’s cancer comes back with a vengeance, and her parents start to realize something is off in the marriage, everything in Lee’s world comes crashing down around him.

Knights & White Satin is an amazing story of one man’s struggles to come to terms with himself, as a father, as a best friend, and as a lover; and the strength behind what started as a simple fling for fun.

Mike and Lee are very passionate men, in and out of bed. Lee’s absolute dedication to Cate and his son are beyond commendable, and Mike’s patience is astounding. While I wanted to strangle Cate’s mother, the woman was the perfect antagonist, especially when compared with her witty, strong, loving daughter.

This is the first book I’ve read by Cash Cole, but I seriously doubt it will be the last.

Heinrich designs bridges, tunnels and roadways for the German Army, but as the world is at war everyone belonged to the Army. Out of the many Cabarets that have opened in Berlin, Die Komödie des Lebens is the one he frequents most because of one performer in particular, the mesmerizing Marika. With her beautiful voice alone she could bring a room full of men to tears but Heinrich also found her to be a beautiful person and fell in love.

Marika came to Berlin to try and live her life as she chose. When she’d perform her signature song Sag Mir Wo die Blumen Sind (Say to Me Where the Flowers Are) at the cabaret, there wasn’t a dry eye in the club. Marika is flattered and very attracted to Heinrich but has tried to keep a distance between them as she’s afraid to expose herself and doesn’t think Heinrich would be able to accept her.

After a night of horror, Marika runs to the man she loves and hopes Heinrich will still love her after she resolves to tell him everything.

I found Say To Me Where The Flowers Are to be a moving tragic love story. The details of Berlin and the fear everyone lives with during this time of war are richly brought to life by authors Augusta Li and Eon De Beaumont. I could easily picture myself in the cabaret audience and practically feel the smoky atmosphere wrap itself around me. Even without the traditional happily ever after ending, I highly recommend this book to all fans of the m/m romance genre.
