In Sharon Maria Bidwell’s The One That Got Away (4.5 Nymphs) we meet William Wilson who is returning to his small hometown after the death of his father. He meets Gill, a man who formed a close bond with his father, and took on the role of a surrogate son. The things that Gill shares with him will answer questions and give him a reason to finally appreciate what his hometown has to offer.

Steal the Sky by Fiona Glass (4.5 Nymphs) introduces us to Avery, a shifter who enjoys spreading his wings. His lover Charlie is always frightened when he flies away for a few hours of fun, but it’s unavoidable and Charlie has to come to terms with it. He has a competitive side that misses soaring and racing other birds. What should be a simple race turns out to be anything but. Has Avery finally bitten off more adventure than he could possibly chew?

Finally in Emily Veinglory’s The Swan Prince (3 Nymphs) we meet Rudy and Sandy, two shifters but each with an obligation they are trying to avoid. The Rat Demon and a Swan Prince will have to face up to their responsibilities before it is too late. With a party willing to remove the obstacles that would grant him Rudy’s special abilities, time is running out for Sandy to decide if he can command the Rat Demon.

Shifting Perspectives 2 brings us a few new shifter types and three stories to whet our appetites for more. While I enjoyed all three, I would have to say that Ms. Glass has peak my interest about a certain little helper in Steal the Sky. I’m not sure if there will be more to come, but I’ll definitely be the first to read the next installment if she decides to have a bit of mercy and tell us more. Those who enjoy stories about shifters will enjoy this anthology.
