Wild Bill thinks things aren’t so bad, given the circumstances. He’s relatively content, but there’s something stirring in Michael that tells Bill his lover isn’t feeling the same. Michael thinks maybe having a third -- just a playmate -- will help. Bill isn’t too keen on the idea, but he goes along with it. He finds that it is quite hot seeing Michael in action, but when their one-night-stand takes a minor detour, things go a little awry.
Michael is uneasy, craving things he feels horrible for craving. Can Bill get past his own demons to help Michael with his?
Brazen is the first book in the Sweet Oblivion series -- a continuation of the Channeling Morpheus books. Once again, I was thrilled to read things from Bill’s viewpoint. He just has this off-color, twisted sense of humor that I’ve come to love and expect. The sex, as always, is hot as hell, but it’s the last scene -- with just the two of them -- that really takes the cake in this one. There’s so much love between them, that although they don’t say the words, you feel it.
I wasn’t sure how the threesome would turn out, and thankfully, it didn’t feel wrong. At least, not wrong for these guys. I’d give too much away if I said anything more, but rest assured: this is a book not to be missed, especially if you enjoyed the Channeling Morpheus series.
