It’s been three weeks since the always-in-control Brynn Adler’s life was turned upside down, after being violently attacked, kidnapped and tortured by a group of rogue werewolves. It’s a savage world she didn’t even know existed and learning her older sister is one of the creatures was a shock. It’s left her feeling weak, helpless and vulnerable. And she hates it! The sensible course of action would be to return to her home and job, but so much has transpired that Brynn doesn’t believe she can ever go back to the ‘real world’ again. She’s not even certain she’d want to. That would mean leaving not only her sister behind, but also the man who rescued her and gave her hope again.

Joe Mitchell was a soldier before he became a werewolf. He’s a naturally protective man and those instincts have only gotten stronger since he rescued Brynn, demanding that he keep her safe. Joe likes her. He desires her. He also knows getting involved with the emotionally fragile human female is a terrible idea, especially with a supernatural war brewing with the very group of werewolves who kidnapped her.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting Sanctuary Lost, the latest release in Moira Rogers’ new and intriguing paranormal series Red Rock Pass and she didn’t disappoint me. This book starts almost immediately where Cry Sanctuary left off, the action racing from the first page to the last. I recommend reading the books in order for a greater understanding of the ongoing plot and continuing characters.

In this book, the conflict with the rogue werewolves is escalating almost daily and the packs are struggling to form a workable alliance. Except Abby and Brynn are still in danger; threatened by the crazed rogue pack leader, leaving Joe and Keith desperate to protect their women. It was great seeing more of Abby and Keith, the primary characters from the first release, as well was Gavin, Sam and Dylan. These characters, along with a few new ones rounded out the cast nicely, giving the story a sense of continuity, community, and family.

I was thrilled with the simmering passion and chemistry swirling between Brynn and Joe and the love scenes can only be called blistering hot, and sexy. These two have so much emotional baggage to deal with that at times I wondered whether they could work through their pain, unrest and misunderstandings. Yet, Ms. Rogers did just that, and did it well. Joe’s character is a strong Alpha, which is exactly what the much weaker Byrnn needs. I can’t wait to see where this story is going with the next release. Dylan…please.

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Dylan is indeed up next. Sanctuary's Price is scheduled for October of this year, so not long at all!
