Photographer Asher Myles is rebuilding his life, thanks to an identity thief swiping his name to sully his reputation. He hasn’t had the easiest of lives, but he grew up surrounded by the wealth of a loving family. His current assignment takes him to Montana where he meets the man who’s face lulls Asher to sleep, Nick Light.

Nick is part of Hollywood royalty and has no love of paparazzi or the despicable acts they will perform for that next shot, that next paycheck. Having a photographer in his home doesn’t give Nick warm and fuzzy feelings, but Asher isn’t just any photographer. He remembers Asher and wants to hear his side of Asher’s current circumstances. And more than anything, he wants Asher is his bed.

Nick hides that he’s gay to protect his career but if he tries to stay in the closet, he will damage two hearts in the process. Is having Asher as part of his life worth exposing their secret? Will Nick and Asher find a way to make a relationship work?

Seducing Light takes us into the lives of Asher, a man re-establishing his career, and Nick, an actor scared to expose his personal life to the public. KC Kendricks has done a wonderful job with this story. It was easy to understand Nick and Asher’s views on the matter of coming out and building a relationship. I have to admit Asher won me over without trouble. Dealing with the bum-hand life dealt him and coping with Nick’s nervousness and attitude at times gave me respect for just how strong his shoulders were. He carried a great deal around on them but never cried “woe is me”. Nick, on the other hand, reminded me of a spoiled child at times. He didn’t look at the broad picture, but narrowed in on the portion that made Asher look his worse. There was at least one time where I wanted Asher to walk away and never look back, but when I remembered this was his hero on the white stallion, it was hard not to want him to have his dream come true. The story has a nice pace, a good plot, and erotic scenes that gravitate from teeth rattling intensity to slow sensual lovemaking. Seducing Light was a delightful read and I want to see more from Ms. Kendricks in the near future.
