C.C. dreamed of returning to Pearl and the family and friends who love her. The encounter with John rekindles her smoldering passion. Will John and C.C. finally have their chance at love?
All the Women in Pearl is the sequel to All the Trees in Pearl. John is a hard-working man with strong convictions. C.C. is ready to take charge of her life and reestablish a home in Pearl. While C.C. and John make a cute couple, I didn’t feel a true emotional connection to them. The storyline wasn’t as developed as I would have liked, but a western setting is always a bonus for me. I felt a bit rushed towards the end, but it could be a way to leave room from James’ story. Emily Ryan-Davis adds a dose of action and suspense, but allows the focus to remain on the reunited couple. All the Women in Pearl flows at a moderate pace from the beginning to end, while bringing old and new characters into this latest installment. Overall, I found the book to be a pleasant read.
