When Lynx left the safety of her village, all she wanted was to find her kidnapped sister, Aurora, and make certain she was safe. Lynx didn’t expect to find herself in the middle of a murderous attempt at overthrowing the royal throne. She also didn’t expect to find not just one but two men who she could fall in love with.

Micah has come searching for his missing twin and while doing so, gets caught up in the dangerous political wrangling of the neighboring country. When Merced is finally rescued, the brothers are thrilled but it’s tempered by deep emotional pain when they both fall for the same woman, Lynx. They are Danuja and members of their culture don’t share their females—they mate with one woman for life. So where does that leave the other twin?

Shifter’s Delight is the second release in Blood Magic, the new series by author Lacey Thorn. Once again the story starts with a prologue and while similar to the one from the previous release, it gives some different information, expanding the family background and what led to the current story arc. Whereas series books generally run consecutively, the first portion of this one runs simultaneously with Warrior’s Dawn. As you might expect, that means there’s a bit of a story repeat in some sections, while there’s an expansion in others before it runs off into the totally new storyline.

There’s never any doubt of the emotional and physical compatibility of Merced, Micah and Lynx; it’s the cultural differences that are miles apart. Just enough information about the Danuja is given to fill in some of the blanks but it still left me with lots of questions, some of which will hopefully be answered in future releases. The sex between these three is passionate, blistering hot and frequent.

The secondary characters from the previous release are present again but play a less prominent role, allowing the story to focus on Lynx and her two men. That doesn’t mean that the series villain and his loyal henchmen still aren’t on the scene causing problems, only this time it’s Micah, Merced and Lynx paying the price. The author has done a nice job during this section. Its fast-paced, intense, packs an emotional punch and pushes the story forward to a satisfying conclusion.
