Autumn left the Army because she ended up being held prisoner and beaten after the death of a woman and her child during childbirth.  Once Frank and Evan sniff her when she shows up in Sanctuary, they realize she is their mate.

The last book in the Welcome to Sanctuary series, Autumn Healing, is about the last group of siblings from both families.  I think it was great that this happened throughout the series, though by this time, it was not a surprise.  The author seems to have an understanding of some of the problems women face in a combat zone, whether it is in the medical field or not.  This book also gave a glimpse of the next generation of the shifters in the Sullivan family.

I did find it interesting that Autumn’s father is the one that recommended she go to Sanctuary.  I can’t imagine what he might have been feeling, knowing that there was a good chance she would end up staying there.  I really enjoyed reading this series and think it should be in any shifter lover’s library for a fun read.
