Lex
is paired with Blane to save a child from being sold at auction after being
abducted from her adoptive parents. Lex
is still smarting from Blane’s rejection six years ago while he was guarding
her.
Huntress at
Large
is the second book in the Huntress
Chronicles series, where this book picks up six years after Huntress for Hire. This was an interesting suspense story that
also shows how misunderstandings can color the way people see others. One thing that did surprise me was how the
author got Lex and Blane together once they reached their destination. I
thought it was a bit unusual.
Lex
and Blane have chemistry, though both have a lot of misconceptions about each
other. What happens at the Glory Dome
brings up a lot of feelings for both and has Lex wondering how she is going to
make it without Blane in the future.
The
story also gives a hint about what might happen in the next book of this series
and I, for one, am looking forward to reading it. I recommend that this series be read in order
for maximum enjoyment, but a reader can enjoy each book by itself.
