Torrid Tarot-Cauldron of Keridwen is a heartwarming of the tarot card Ace of Cups. The overflowing goblet is a symbol of love, past, present and future. The person who receives this card is likely to be sympathetic or empathetic with a warm and open heart. K.Z. Snow gives an example of this with Hilendra, who is warm and caring even to Elswin and Purnab, the villains in this saga. Saaldon also exhibits this trait by demanding enemy Brodagian spies Elswin and Purnab not be killed; only confined. This is a well written beautiful love story with sensual love play and a touch of humor that made this fantasy very enjoyable to read.

Burned by his own experience, Noah makes no attempt to hide the fact that he does not think of himself as marriage material. Given this, he deserves kudos for pursuing the woman who makes him go nuts in mere seconds. Even though they fall in lust at the first sight and sex is the next event, the relationship does evolve with help from a zealous mother and her zany cronies.

A lot of chemistry and plenty of steam between the two make the tale a fun and sassy read. The plot doesn’t focus on the main relationship only and there are many colorful supporting characters who have their own say, amidst the chaos. Noah’s mother, Bertie Hilton and Katy’s friend Lindsey make the most impact with their outrageous behavior. Ms. Mercy cleverly brings in cow jokes and even hilarious stuffed cows that make you want to roll your eyes. I am seriously hoping that the author decides to give some very deserving secondary characters their own books.

Her Last Fling is a nice lightweight contemporary romance that makes you think about priorities in life. The ending did leave a few unanswered questions in my mind but dealt with the emotions of relationships in a very real way. Ms. Mercy drives her point home with lots of laughs along the way. Why only get free milk when you can get you own cream and butter if you have your own cow? So don’t borrow! Buy a copy of Her Last Fling to get that personal taste!

The book is funny but is also full of emotion once Meghan realizes that her life is over. This is a terrific short story and I would recommend it to anyone who loves happily ever after.

When Valentine returns to the house, Lisa continues to experience a sense of déjà vu until she realizes what and who he is.

Night Rhythms is book 3 of The Sirens series. Charlene Teglia has done a terrific job of Lisa’s and Valentine’s characters and kept my interest until the end when she wrapped up this centuries-old love story. A very enjoyable read.

One day while on the beach, a naked man comes out of the ocean and walks toward her. The only adornment he is wearing is a strange aquamarine necklace. She is immediately struck by his muscular body and other physical attributes and finds herself being assailed by images and fantasies of the two of them having sex.

Talas is a mystical sea-bound creature who has never had a relationship with anyone, male or female, and Claudia cannot believe that he has not had sex before. She teaches him everything she knows and he proves to be a fast learner. Soon the pupil becomes the tutor as Talas acquires new skills in the art of lovemaking. The love scenes between them are sensuous and arousing as both Talas and Claudia fall under each other’s spell.

The next morning Claudia sees Talas in the ocean and as she swims in his direction he shouts for her to return to shore. She obeys but wonders whether he is hiding something; when she sees him again later that day she doesn’t quite believe his explanation. Then Talas loses his necklace and he is devastated. He explains to Claudia what he is and tells her that without the necklace they will never be able to have sex again. How will they ever overcome such an insurmountable obstacle?

Aquamarine: Catch of the Day is quite an unusual story with likeable characters and Ms Zahara does a very good job of the plot. The emotion between Talas and Claudia when they realize that they may never be together again is touching, and the desperation they feel is evident as they try to find the necklace that is their lifeline. This story is part of the Aquamarine series, and even though there is a common theme of the sea, each book is a standalone.

Sheri Lewis Wohl delivers suspense, passion and action in Necuratul. Each of the characters is strong and believable. From beginning to end, there were no dull moments in this story. We watch hidden pasts being revealed, new love being acquired and new roles being assumed. The sex between Cat and Adam shows you that a quiet Alpha male should never be doubted for his skills to thrill his lover. Readers who enjoy dark paranormal thrillers will find Necuratul a definite treat, and I’m looking forward to reading the second book in this series.

Laura Baumbach, Angela Fiddler and Jet Mykles bring passion and suspense laced with morsels of humor in Blood Claim. Readers of the genre will enjoy Blood Claim from beginning to end.

Sage’s announcement about quitting her job and moving out is the first falling domino that opens Rally’s eyes. She is more important to Rally than even he realized and he has to let her know before it is too late. Or is it already too late?

Rally and Sage are like a ticking bomb that explodes in Be With You. Sage’s pain of longing for a man who won’t give her the time of day is so sad. I know many readers will easily identify with this character. I was happy to see the character overcome Rally’s rejection and try to get on with her life plans, rather than turning into an emotional wreck. Sure Sage was crushed, but she knew how to put on a good front while giving Rally a wake-up call. Rally, on the other hand, started off on my bad side with his abrasive reaction to Sage. When I thought he was taking Aponi’s side against Sage, I was so enraged that I had to fan myself with the pages to calm down. As Rochelle gave me more insight into Rally’s reasons for his actions, I couldn’t be mad at him. He tried so hard to stay away from Sage until he saw another man moving in on her. He deserved the scare of losing her to another man, and I am glad he got it. Rally’s remorse is such a turn on. I would forgive this gorgeous gentleman of almost anything. His story with Sage is one that should be shared.

And now she's going to be his apprentice for the summer. There are a few drawbacks to this marvelous opportunity. Evie has to bring her younger brother along. Plus Traevyn doesn't want them at his gothic mansion by the sea.

Evie is the plucky, friendly type. She's short and curvy, always a "sister" rather than a sex goddess. She always wants the guys she can't have. She cleans house for Traevyn, cooks his meals, and eventually brings him out of his shell. Traevyn is beautiful, with long black hair reflecting his Indian ancestry. He has been a recluse for two years. His gorgeous wife left after an affair with his best friend. His angelic daughter was tragically killed. He is afraid to love again.

Evie's brother Seth is the third main character. Though the siblings have not been close, this strange summer brings them together.

The story has its moments, but I was bothered by some lapses in logic. Evie's parents made her take her brother because they were traveling. Yet at one point the author states they are taking care of her cat. Who fed Traevyn and scoured the tub during the two years before Evie arrived? How much experience can 21-year-old Evie really have with wine?

I felt Evie's relationship with her friend Meg deBoer's family was unnecessary to the plot. Jeff is the charming brother everyone loves, Maxim is the married one Evie obsesses over, and Barrett is a real boor who tries to date her. She relishes the closeness of the clan, but there are few real details about her own parents and their situation. Evie is sweet and romantic, saving herself for the ideal marriage. Her character changes little during the course of the story, but she does get a happy ending

Carved in Memory is the second in The Exile series revolving around the Brotherhood and Mannos, the Isle of Men.

In this story we meet Alonzo a receiver who was once chosen by one of the Ancient island lords and has since been exiled from Mannos. Ancients do not forgive and Alonzo was sure Lord Phineas meant to exact his full measure of revenge from him. Phineas had loved him and it was his undying love for the Ancient Master that had contributed to his exile, but when all was said and done it was Master Phineas who owned Alonzo, body and soul. Alonzo was exiled to the mainland a century ago and has been stuck in Diamond City as an acquisitor ever since. As an acquisitor, Alonzo is always looking out for objects from Mannos to either be returned to the island or placed in collector’s museums. The items could not end up on the streets or the public market.

Angel-Boy is a young man of twenty-five and thanks to Alonzo runs a second hand store down by the docks in Crowtown. When Alonzo realized Angel-Boy’s talent of being able to read the history of an object that’s been in his hands, he set him up with the store, which Angel-Boy then rented from him. Their arrangement has worked well for both of them so far, that is until Angel-Boy comes across a masthead. When the item is brought to him Angel-Boy can feel Alonzo’s energy all over it and calls him. When Alonzo sees the masthead, memories come flooding back of another time, a time when he was tied to that very mast for the pleasure of the Ancients and the pleasure of the Masters.

As payment for the masthead, Angel-Boy wants to spend one night with Alonzo. He’s been aware of Angel-Boy’s infatuation with him but has always tried to keep it nothing but business between them; he didn’t want anyone to love him. Alonzo cared for Angel-Boy and that was why he helped get him off the streets and into his own business. He liked Angel-Boy but if he gave in, it would change things and he didn’t want to lead Angel-Boy on as he would never be able to love him. Alonzo finds he’s unable to resist the temptation Angel-Boy presents and kisses him, figuring at least one of them will get their heart’s desire for the night.

Alonzo is surprised at how quickly his body responds to Angel-Boy and admits to himself he could have loved him if he wasn’t already broken. He enjoyed their night together more than he should have, more than he expected, this wasn’t supposed to happen. The morning after, Angel-Boy admits his love for Alonzo who tells him there can never be anything more between them. Determined, Angel-Boy informs Alonzo this is how he will expect payments from him from now on. Alonzo eventually reconsiders and wonders if he’s possibly found a way to survive the mainland after all.

The Exile: Carved In Memory is a short but very enjoyable installment in this series. Adrianna Dane has created a multi-layered and very fascinating character in Alonzo and only seems to have begun to scratch the surface of his story. Angel-Boy is a brash confident young man who knows what he wants and is more than willing to go after it. If you’re looking for a happily ever after ending then this book is not for you, but I highly recommend it to fans of m/m fantasy who don’t need the happily ever after. I for one will be anticipating the next installment in this series and hope for the continuation of Alonzo’s story.

For Tyler, Will is his walking wet dream and the first time they have sex, it surpasses anything even he could have imagined. After being injured while chasing a robber from a small grocery store, Will realizes he’s not ready to bring their relationship out into the open. In their line of work it could cost them their lives. Tyler’s not ashamed of his feelings for Will and wants to have it all. He doesn’t care about appearances and how things look to others, but he’s keeping a secret from his best friend which could cost him everything. . Will these two friends ever be able to make a relationship work?

After Anna is not your typical happily ever after romance. Theda Black has written a complex relationship between two very different men. Sometimes a little too complex for even the reader to follow, but while together, their relationship works on every level. There are some very powerful emotional scenes between Tyler and Will and the sex scenes are very well written. Theda Black has created a terrific character in Tyler who you can’t help but empathize with right from the start. Will, on the other hand, who tends to over think everything has moments where you’ll sympathize with him for the pain and uncertainty he’s going through, but then there are moments he’ll completely aggravate you. I recommend After Anna to fans of the best friends turned lovers genre, but be forewarned if happily ever after is your thing, then this is not the book for you.

The relationship and the bond between these two protagonists is a strong one that you can feel right from the start. I finished reading Queen of Carnage with the hope this writer will continue Tigress and Jozef’s story as I was left yearning for more. I highly recommend this book to any fan of the sci-fi or shapeshifter or paranormal genres, especially those that prefer a strong female lead.

Silvia is distraught when her husband John decides to not go with her on their vacation to Florida and says she will go by herself without him. While lying on the beach at the hotel, she is roughly abducted, sack over her head and hauled away to somewhere else unknown to her. Feeling guilt because of what is happening to her still does not keep Silvia from reacting to every pleasure given.

Ravished is quick and to the point of no return. I loved the surprise given her and don’t want to give away the ending here. This just makes you want to do the same with a loved one. All Silvia can think about during her abduction is of her husband John and what he will think of her. Fawn Lowery does a wonderful job of letting your imagination work here and also give you a few ideas along the way.

Knowing who the masked man was necessary for her to know and the surprise will make it even better.

Max Renfrew is head of publications at a magazine company and owner of the club the ladies are in. When he sees Natalie there he wants nothing more than to have her at his mercy all night. During the time that Max and Natalie are together, they are enjoying everything that he is putting her through for the evening. What he has figured out is that she is the only woman for him and hopes she feels the same way.

Now this story was so arousing and I learned more about bondage than I knew before. When Natalie finally figured out what she wanted and who she wanted it from spoke volumes to me. Being bound is not easy but realizing the power over another person by submitting makes the difference. I liked that this story was short and to the point, but I also wanted a lot more! At the Dungeon Master’s Hand was very well written and you could do nothing but enjoy every moment while you read it. Jennifer Cole has explored an area most would not even think about but now I am intrigued.

When he is instantly attracted to the mahogany beauty and starts fantasizing about a life with her in it, Forbes becomes torn between his job and his desires.

Forbes hoped that the end of this case wouldn’t cause the end of his relationship with Kissa. Would she forgive him for lying about his original reason for entering her world? Would she be comfortable dating a FBI agent? He would just have to make her understand, because life without her was not an option.

Rochelle knocked another one out of the park with the dual story Cover Model. There is a perfect balance of suspense and drama in this love story. Forbes and Kissa have pizzazz as individuals but as a couple they are even more beguiling. Forbes’ view of life changed in the blink of an eye, without regret or resistance. I can’t resist a man who knows what he wants and is not shy about getting it. Kissa is cautious and I understand her reasons but I must admit I wanted her to cave in faster. Thank the Lord she came to her senses and let that adorable man back in her world! And to make things spicier, Rochelle added Africa and Zane in the mix. These two characters are destined to cause fireworks and I want so much to read their story. She always knows how to leave you wanting more.

The first time Kade, Zane and Fallon play, the heat generated by their lust is off the chart. But there is an emotional element her Masters want that she is not prepared to confront initially, because that would leave her vulnerable. After five weeks of intense D/s play Fallon is anxious to see her Masters without their masks, but she wonders if the lack of mystery will affect the love she is beginning to feel for them.

Kade’s unveiling and revelation of his diagnosis leaves Fallon devastated. She feels that emotionally she cannot handle living with him and Zane in a committed relationship, facing an uncertain future. Not knowing if his cancer will return would break her heart. While she is trying to decide if the best solution is to leave and avoid the pain, or stay and live each day to the fullest, a personal tragedy makes her realize that life is precious and there are no guarantees.

Double Take is a terrific and sometimes unexpectedly poignant book. The emotions of the three characters are laid bare throughout the story as they try to navigate the possibility of a future in a non-traditional, loving relationship. Ms Taylor is at the top of her game and has done her usual fantastic job of keeping me at the edge of my seat until the very end.

When Acier and Etienne go through the life-changing Feast of Indulgence, a mating ritual, it takes the whole family to keep Etienne from killing Acier, the reason being Raven Monclaire is bloodlust or mate to both Acier and Etienne. They are torn between losing the twin bond and losing a mate.

Moonlight Madness is an extraordinary story laden with intense plots and erotic scenes. Marilyn Lee created an amazing assortment of exotic creatures that are simply delightful. The realistic family issues and connection that Acier and Etienne must now tolerate is very entertaining. All the characters have attitude, and the dialogue is hilarious. Moonlight Madness is an outstanding book that I took pleasure in reading.

Complaining to her best friend Esther, who works at Banshee Broadcasting Network, Esther finds Colleen a witch listed in the yellow book. After a visit with the witch, Colleen learns she has one shot to accomplish this. According to the male witch Sam, Colleen must kiss her true love at exactly midnight during the full moon. That same night, Colleen meets singer Sean Kavanaugh at a night club and its love at first sight for her.

Wailing for Love is a hilarious tale of the Banshee industry. Beverly Rae produced a very creative tale of Banshee corporation policy and infractions. Colleen is a hard working Banshee who does her wailing very well. She didn’t ask to be chosen for this position and was not happy that she had no say in the matter. Sean is an easy going, laid back hunk who dreams of becoming a singing star and works towards that goal. Only after making love to Colleen did Sean become aware that this was more than a simple attraction between them. I was intrigued with this well written plot and the excellent cast of characters; the good, the bad, and the ugly banshees, male witch with a talking female broom, and of course the average mortals making their exits. This fantastic story will make your reading day fun. I enjoyed it immensely.
