This book showcases some of the darker side of BDSM (some being the descriptive word). Mark and Beverly definitely have a Master/Slave relationship. Mark is torn because he wants to let her know he loves her, but has a major block against it. Mark becomes Maureen and befriends Beverly so he can get close to her and eventually tells Beverly he both loves her and is Maureen.

During Mark’s journey to become Maureen, he meets Andrew /Audra and ends up having a one night stand with him. You don’t find out a whole lot about Mark until the last quarter of the book where you have some idea of his background. The scenes in Beverly’s office are very descriptive and can be somewhat disturbing.

Spending most evenings and weekends at the office, there’s no denying Lyle is a workaholic - not that he’s complaining. He gets a thrill out of earning his clients money and gladly puts in the extra time needed to make sure he’s on top of his game. Enjoying the feeling of working his body just as hard as his mind, he makes sure to squeeze in a jog or gym session around his busy schedule. Of course, being able to dress his well toned body immaculately and live a pretty comfortable lifestyle certainly helps. No complaints at all.

Rupe, on the other hand, can think of nothing worse than working day in, day out in a stuffy office. A construction worker by trade, he gets to work out in the fresh air and only does that when he needs to. Otherwise he gets on his bike and just rides; his belongings fitting nicely in his saddle bag, never outstaying his welcome, feeling oh so free.

You couldn’t get more different if you tried but when Lyle and Rupe meet, complacency flies out the window. It seems as though opposites really do attract. They do have one thing in common though – their attraction to each other and it doesn’t take long for them to act on it, at every opportunity. The sex is great but it soon has both men questioning their current lifestyles and as feelings deepen, it seems things can’t go on this way for much longer.

Playing the Market questions whether two seemingly incompatible people can maintain a relationship. The heat and energy between Lyle & Rupe are apparent from start to finish and the couple’s growing attachment is portrayed through increasingly open, loving and experimental sex scenes. The shortfalls of both lifestyles are examined through the characters’ insecurities and I was able to empathize. I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the development of the relationship and although happy with the conclusion, I was left with a sense of wanting more in order to make sure their compromise really can work.

Even though the sheriff says he believes in her innocence, it’s not until Jake arrives in town and he volunteers to post her bail that she finally gets released from jail. Danger abounds and it’s up to Jake to protect Terri from a brutal killer, a group of racist purists and a dangerous and demented stalker.

Moonfire is the third release in Ms. Connolly’s ongoing Pure Wildfire series, and this well-written and fast-paced story is another winner. While it follows characters introduced in the first two books, this one can definitely be read as a stand-alone story.

I guess the first word that comes to mind is…WOW! The plot is incredible and Ms. Connolly has created a story that keeps your attention from beginning to end. The other two stories dealt more with the music industry aspect of Pure Wildfire. This intriguing and original tale leaves the music on the periphery and concentrates more on the personal as Jake and Terri deal with murder, mayhem, danger and hate. The emotional and psychic connection between them is intense, the physical attraction instantaneous, and the sex phenomenally hot. I loved the manner in which Terri discovered that Jake was a shape-shifter and how readily she accepted what he was. The ability of an author to keeping me guessing is always appreciated, and Ms. Connolly did just that with her multitude of unexpected twists and turns. Read this one and enjoy!

The interaction between Lance and his family is very well written. You can feel the concern that his brother and his wife have for Lance and try to tell Lance what he is experiencing with Tinsel. After the family is threatened, Lance’s young nephew comes to the rescue.

This story focuses mostly on Lance and Tinsel and what is happening to both of them as Tinsel is being cared for. This was a very pleasant variation of the old faerie tale. Ms. Wylde even alludes to it with humor at the end of the book. Anyone looking for a very quick read will enjoy this one.

JJ Massa has created the beginnings of a fascinating series full of intrigue and emotional turmoil with some humor added as a nice balance to the plot. These are impressive installments and I hope to read more about The Agency in the future.

Ryan is a busy vet, who’s had a string of odd dates. The only time he feels the passion he so desperately needs is when he’s asleep with his dream lover. But what happens when his dream lover isn’t as fictional as he thought?

I’m always looking to read stories from authors and publishers that aren’t considered to be the usual haunts of e-book readers. So I snapped this one up quite quickly. I have to say I am pleased to be able to review this author’s work and see what the publisher offers. Fey is a cute story and should be considered some light reading. Ryan was amusing to read, and Will was also sweet. The fantasy element just pulls the whole story together. Whilst this is some light entertaining, the author has a long way to go in her writing. But I am looking forward to see what she does next.

She manages to gain access when one of her friends distracts security. Sinclair (also known as Sin or Master Sin) notices her and is ready to drag Kendra back down the stairs where she belongs but notices the fascination on her face as she explores the scenes going on around her. He finds himself drawn to her. He knows she's a born Submissive and his attraction to an obvious novice is a big no-no.

Kendra gets herself into trouble with a more experienced Dom and Sin comes to her rescue, but he isn't about to let her go. She came to explore a night of wild fantasy and he is the person to show her exactly what it means to belong to a man like him.

I loved this book. It is very obvious that Ms. Summers did a lot of research regarding BDSM. I could not stop reading Sinful Treats until I finished it. I felt like I was in the room with them and could feel both their reactions. The different scenarios were so steamy that I went for ice cubes to cool down.

I liked the way Sin explained everything he was doing and gave Kendra the time to ask questions. Readers that are curious about BDSM should definitely read Sinful Treats. It can be an introduction as well as a training manual for beginners.

But this tale of love found isn’t just a romance; it’s also a little bit of a mystery. Who are Jo’s real parents? Why is she being followed? Who wants to hurt her and why didn’t she know she was a werewolf? All these questions make for an intriguing plot from beginning to end. Read and enjoy.

The Pridelands 5: Khalid's Challenge is a wonderful addition to the Pridelands series.

Koa is engaged in an internal war of good, bad and evil all fighting for dominance within him, but Kimo and Lopaka are with them every step of the way, lending Koa and Manalo the support they need to stay strong. The incredible A.J. Llewellyn has created a compelling plot where love must stand the test of endurance. The characters are realistic and heart wrenching, the lovemaking is very sensuous and you get the added bonus of a Hawaiian Glossary. Stolen Magic is another fantastic addition in the continually growing Kimo and Lopaka Wilder’s circle of family and friends.

It’s clear from the very beginning that neither man has truly gotten over the other, despite their feelings of betrayal. Ms. Stevens does a nice job expressing their emotions and interjects vital pieces of information regarding their past without it seeming like an information jump. It’s obvious that they crave what only the other can give them, and the introduction of the BDSM portion of their lifestyle was a nice addition to the plotline. Both men have careers on the line and they have to decide if being together is worth the risk, and whether they are up to the challenge of hiding their love.

Illicit Attraction was a steamy love story that made me see red for a minute. Zena Wynn threw me for a loop with this one and gave me more than I was expecting. Normally, I don’t enjoy reading about affairs, but this story is definitely a must read. Catrina and Darius found qualities in each other that reminded them of their spouse, whom they loved. But, when the chemistry is there, I guess it is impossible to ignore it. I opened my mind and I am so glad I did.

Pablo is smart, and after years as a giver he clearly needs a gentle push to show him just what he is capable of. The Coven of men all bring something unique to the table. Win is handsome and balanced in his approach to everything, Tole is the dominant force, and Zee has pushover written all over him, but somehow puts his foot down when things get too out of sorts.

There is a great deal going on in this first book, but you’ll appreciate the way Ms. Snow is setting things up for the next installment. She leaves no stone unturned, giving a detailed description of the areas, residents, and the transit system. The story drew me in and I felt like a hidden resident of Utopian. If you’re looking for something out of the norm, then look no further. Looking for Some Touch brings action, adventure, and lust right to you in bold color.

First off, David, a former cop, does not believe Brian committed the murders and second, David can hear and see Brian. Something no one else has ever been able to do. The two men fall in love almost immediately and begin looking into the murder. Although it could mean Brian will be able to finally rest in peace David is compelled to solve this very old crime. In a small town that remembers the crimes as if they happened yesterday it isn’t easy to do. Eventually the men begin making headway but will the past be laid to rest or will the men regret stirring things up?

I thoroughly enjoyed Portrait of a Kiss by TD McKinney and Terry Wylis. The main characters are drawn to each other from the very beginning and have a definite chemistry. With the aid of some excellent secondary characters, the writers were able to weave humor in a story that deals with a very gruesome crime. I loved the scenes between David and Brian when they forgot about the other people around them and the fact that they could not see or hear Brian. You will need to keep a box of tissue next to you however as this does have some intense ‘tear jerker’ moments. You will not regret picking up this book.

Their connection is slow to build, but is steady and strong in even the worst storms. Ann Somerville has created a fantastic series, so unlike the norm. She outlines the characters and settings in incredible detail. In addition, while Suaj and Kine have personal issues to work out, their daily dilemmas will help smooth out the rough edges in their relationship. I’m anxiously awaiting the next installment of this series!
