For a ghost, Jesse has almost everything he could want. His sex life with DB is improving, their relationship is getting stronger and their business partnership is strengthening. However, that changes when Detective Joe Donners decides there’s more to DB than meets the eye. DB doesn’t believe Joe wants a nonprofessional connection and Jesse proves that even a ghost can get green with envy and jealousy. Then, to make things more interesting, Madame Yanya hires DB to help get rid of a ghost. Wonders never cease.
Drew Zachary hooked my interest with the first book in this series, and I’ve been faithfully watching for the newest releases. Jesse is funny, handsome, and working on becoming a top rate detective, regardless of the fact that he died in the eighties. DB is a walking dream lover and the soft spot he has for Jesse has worked its way to the surface. It was nice having him finally admit his feelings out loud. The sex is still something to behold, and the plot this time was a bit comical since Madame Yanya is a median drag queen who can’t find it in her heart to give her pesky interloper the psychic boot. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Something Green and I am anxiously awaiting the next installment.
