As an assessor, Isabella was in a unique position to hide some of the women designated as breeders.  When she is caught, she finds that her punishment may not be that bad since she will be bound to the Overseer.

Overseer’s Chain is the third book in the Brace for Humanity series.  In this book, we finally get Isabella’s story as she has been a secondary character in the previous ones.  This book is fascinating as the author went into a lot of detail about the humans on Imrahl and it was a surprise.  I must give the author kudos for the way she has created this world.

Isabella has been given a lot of access to the history and confidential files not available for humans.  Iktabi didn’t realize just how much Isabella knew, but her knowledge becomes invaluable when he assigns her as his assistant for her punishment.  What Isabella didn’t know when he first tethered her to him is that she is also Iktabi’s mate.

This book is a little different as well because it tells the story of Imrahl and the Rrassic.  It is an interesting story, especially because of the threats the Rrassic use to keep the humans in line.  Several characters from the previous stories show up.

It will be interesting to see where the rest of this series goes considering this new information.  I am looking forward to reading those stories.

Minerva is wasting away as she waits for her daughter to get out of the tank. Her daughter had to be put in it after she got to the point Minerva couldn’t keep carrying her.  What she didn’t know is that the father is on his way to make sure Minerva is still around to take care of her.

Quit is the 36th and last book in the Terran Times Second Wave series.  Minerva was one of the first generation of Terrans in the Terran Times series.  Minerva has a unique talent that has allowed her to act as Recruiter Norz for years.  Now as her role changes to wife and mother, she is chosen to fill another role that will be unique to Terra.

I loved Imbolt’s description.  He would definitely be memorable under any circumstances, but he fills his role as ambassador and later Minerva’s husband admirably. Imbolt also made sure Minerva got well and I had to laugh at some of Minerva’s minor rebellions when they first met.  They hit it off very well together.

I am going to miss this series.  Despite each story being very fast paced, the author transported readers to various worlds and created some unique societies on those worlds. I think it was wonderful that the series ended with the tie in to the first group of Terrans that went into space.  I will be reading the Terran Times Second Wave series again.

Within the Nyal Imperium, prison guards have a special talent that can keep prisoners calm. Amylia has been recruited by the Volunteer Project and is a guard at one of their prisons. At a court appearance, Amylia is kidnapped along with the prisoner, the Queen of Rohul, she is guarding in court who is being broken out of prison. Since Amylia befriended the Prime Queen while she was a prisoner, as a reward, Amylia becomes a province queen with the Queen's brother-in-law, Gyrion, as her Consort.

Quell is the 35th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series. In one way, this book is different from the previous ones in this series.  Rohul is ruled by women.  Each province is ruled by a Queen and their consort, with one Prime Queen for the planet.  I was surprised about the way a Province Queen could become the Prime Queen and how quickly it could happen.

I had to laugh at some of Gyrion’s antics after he met Amylia.  There are several instances that endear her to the people, one is where she uses her power to vanquish one of Gyrion’s former lovers.  The instance with the beast was so funny, especially the days that followed that instance.

I loved the way Amylia handled the Imperium when they came looking for her and their former prisoner.  Amylia and Gyrion learn about each other and their chemistry is hot.  The epilogue was a surprise.

I enjoyed reading Quell and will be reading it again for the humor in it. There is one more book in the Terran Times Second Wave series according to the author and a lot of answers will be given in that story.

Camile is a paid companion that is being used to cover an ambassador’s preference for men.  When they attend a festival on Namkor, Camile is given what the natives call the gift, which means she cannot leave the planet for at least a year. Mordem is one of the Guardians that will be training her.

The 35th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series, Quick, is a little different than previous stories in the series.  Camile is chosen to become a Guardian by the planet and also becomes hated because she is an outsider.  Several of her relationships change due to her new status.

Her main instructor is Mordem, who had been her lover before she was chosen.  I found it interesting that those chosen could reject their gift and go back to their previous lives after a certain time.  Another interesting fact in this story is that Camile and Mordem could not be lovers until after she had finished training, since other societies in this series could.  The chemistry between Camile and Mordem is intense and I did have to laugh about the fact that Mordem’s brother also tried to make a play for Camile and some of the antics he used.

The author continues to make this series fresh with each new world and societal mores she creates.  Readers should be aware that references to the Yemish ambassador’s sexual preferences are mentioned even though there is actually no sexual scenes. There are only a few more stories for this series in the works and I am looking forward to reading them.

Anna discovers that she has royal Nyal blood when she starts having some strange symptoms.  After talking with her family, she decides to become a bride to escape having what happened to her grandmother happen to her.

Quiver is the 34th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series.  Because Anna is Terran, she is offered, by the Nyal Prince, to one of the Guardians first instead of going through a bride auction.  Quake takes her after doing some research and offers a rather large bride price, partly to irritate his mother.  The chemistry between Anna and Quake is hot.

This story gives more information about the Nyal Imperium, specifically regarding getting a bride.  One thing that is key is that the bride is having her first heat.  It is expected that by the end of the couples bonding, she will be pregnant.  I loved Quake’s mother.  Her whole attitude from when she first met Anna and the change once she determined she would be a grandmother was funny.  Then she took Anna under her wing to the point that Anna was a little overwhelmed.

One great thing about the Terran Times Second Wave series is that the author has created some very interesting worlds and people that populate them.  While there are some mini-series within this one, most are standalone stories that transport the reader to that world.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Freddy discovers she has alien DNA after she volunteers for the Volunteer Project.  Based on that DNA, she is the Oracle from a race that was thought to be gone.  One of the Guardians on her new world turns out to be her mate.

Query is the 32nd book in the Terran Times Second Wave series.  Other than a few mishaps, this story is different in that there is not major crisis that Freddy has to overcome.  I loved the reason she has Sneed, her toy dragon.  I also had a good laugh at some of the antics of the Guardians and later when Freddy finds out a drink she was given gives her the same reaction as the tea she drinks while she is giving people their fortunes.

Rune is also from a race that had to adapt, but they have a history of taking Terrans as mates.  It was entertaining how Rune and Freddy get together, especially since Freddy already knew he was her mate.

The glimpses received about the other Guardians are interesting, especially Ember and her brother, Rescue.  I really liked some of the names of the secondary characters in the story.  It will be fun to see some of their stories in the future of this series.

Cleo wants to honor her parents’ request to not be part of the Volunteer project but, due to her genetics, ends up drugged, kidnapped, and on her way to Lrrko as one of the Brides.  Helbri realizes he has to earn her trust since she did not come to Lrrko willingly.

Prohibit is the 31st story in the Terran Times Second Wave series and ends the mini-series about the Lrrko Brides.  I loved this one, as Cleo is basically an escape artist and can’t seem to be confined by the Lrrko tanks.  I had to laugh at her antics at times.  In addition, she soaked up what she could of the Lrrko.  Cleo learns the full story about what happened to their women.

Cleo seems to get into trouble without trying.  Helbri recognizes her nature and tries his best to keep her happy, but he decides to leave her on Lrrko in a tank while he completes one last mission. Of course, Cleo won’t stay put. Once they return to Lrrko, Helbri’s defense of Cleo and the answers he gave when the Elders tried to punish Cleo for her latest infraction were interesting and based on the timing when Cleo signed the Bride Contract.  I thought the Elder created the perfect solution.

I loved the relationship that Helbri and Cleo forged once Cleo started trusting him.  Their chemistry together is intense.

The author has created a wonderful world that will continue for a few more books according to her comments at the end of this book.  The stories in the Terran Times Second Wave series are very fast paced, but takes readers on some amazing adventures.  I am looking forward to the next story.

Bryn assaults a football player she caught stripping an unconscious woman, but she’s the one that ends up in prison instead.  Because she is one of the women with the genetics the Lrrko want, she is eventually pardoned.  Surat is her familiar.

Pardon is the 30th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series and the fourth book about the Lrrko Brides within the series.  There was an incident that takes this story into an interesting twist before Bryn even gets to Lrrko.  She is ordered to undergo counseling with the Lrrko version of counselor.  While the situation was not funny, I had to laugh at the request of the Brothers to the Elders after she was done.

This story shows the differences of how Lrrko and Terran deal with Bryn’s original charges and how the Lrrko look at what happened later.  Bryn’s life story is a hard one and what happened to her sister is something that could have been ripped from the headlines.  It’s no wonder she was so angry.  I know I would be too.

Bryn and Surat make a good couple.  I had to laugh at some of the training incidents that happened when Surat was evaluating her.  There were several humorous scenes between the two and another couple on Lrrko.

I am looking forward to the next story in this thread regarding the Lrrko.  This series has some interesting stories with the various alien life in the universe the author has created.

Mila is given no choice about becoming a volunteer as she is one of those with the DNA from the Lrrko home world.  The Familiar assigned to her rejects her, so she ends up with someone else once she is on Lrrko.

Pact is the 29th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series and is about another of the five women found to have Lrrko DNA.  The story gave a little bit more information about the Familiars and what happens to one that rejects a Bride after being given the task bonding with her.  I loved the fact that Mila struck a bargain to get what she wanted when she realized she had no choice about going to Lrrko.

Mila is surprised that Elder Hrakin ends up being her familiar.  It was fun  watching Mila learn more about herself on Lrrko and what she and Hrakin could do.  I was laughing out loud about some of her antics, especially when she hacked into histories that even Hrakin couldn’t access.  I loved her response.

The epilogue was a surprise and I loved it.  I hope there is more about that in the future.  Things are getting real interesting with the Lrrko and I’m looking forward to more in this series.

Lynni had trouble while she was in the tank getting the enhancements that would allow her to live on her new planet.  She is actually very prized by the Lrrko and her familiar is in for a surprise since he thinks she is the quiet one in her family.

Panacea is the 28th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series.  This book picks up where Perfect left off and reunites the two sisters.  This book also elaborates on the contract that was being negotiated regarding the women on Lrrko.

Lynni is funny and very smart.  She figures things out quickly, including the fact that Leko is using the robot while he is away from Lrrko.  Once she gets there, she makes quite an impression on the Elders.

The chemistry is great between Lynni and Leko.  I found some of the interactions between the sisters’ familiars funny, especially since they are so realistic in their expressions.

Panacea is a quick fun read.  I am looking forward to more in this series.  I do wonder if there will be more about the Lrrko in the future or if the author will be taking us to a new world.

Trying to save a friend, Tyanni gets hit with acid and has been in the hospital for two years.  After her sister has DNA testing done as part of pursuing their genealogy, it is discovered the two have alien DNA. Brex is assigned to Tyanni to bring her home.

The 30th book of the Terran Times Second Wave series, Perfect, is the start of a five part mini-series within this series.  The world created for this story was interesting and had some humorous moments, especially since Brex thought Tyanni was quiet.  I laughed at Tyanni when she met with the Elders, especially the second time.

I was surprised by how accepting Tyanni was about Brex and his profession, as well as the things she had to learn to survive among the Lrrko.  Once the Lrrko confirmed she had viable eggs to store, she made demands that made the council take notice.  I loved the way the confrontation went, especially since Tyanni showed how strong she was despite being bedridden for two years.

Brex had been worried about Tyanni accepting him. I could understand that as I learned more about the laws and how the Lrrko functioned.  Tyanni and Brex had some great chemistry together.

One thing that stands out in this series is that each of the Terran women are strong and are willing to ask for what they want.  I am looking forward to the next story as it will be about Tyanni’s sister.

Lilia ends up adopted by the family she is working for in order to compete in a rite that will determine who will control the forests for the next ten years.  One member of the other family has employed underhanded tactics to win, but Lilia ends up with another family member, Xeric, when he steps up to the plate.  What happens is unexpected.

The 26th book of the Terran Times Second Wave series, Oblige, is different with the aspect that Lilia doesn’t have to undergo any alterations of her genetics at all.  Her talent of service is all that was needed when she volunteered.  I was surprised by how easy it was for the Zels to adopt Lilia. This was one of the more interesting aspects of the society that the author created in this book.

Xeric is called back from his duties as a forest ranger to compete in the rite.  Everyone is surprised, especially since Lilia ends up evading Xeric a lot longer than expected.  I enjoyed the way they ended up bargaining for Lilia’s business sense, instead of the usual sexual service expected.  Both Lilia and Xeric are attracted to each other and end up with an arrangement both families are happy with.

Xeric’s brother has almost run the family business to the ground and what happens after Lilia is at the family compound brings things to a head.  I liked that the family supported Lilia and Xeric.  I had to laugh at what happened at the dinner scene and why it happened.

The author indicated that this is the end of the ‘O’ series and will start the ‘P’ series.  I have been enjoying this series and will be reading Oblige again as I enjoyed some of the banter between the characters.

Jill becomes the Archivist for contracts as a volunteer in the Great Archive.  Several things happen once she arrives that she didn’t anticipate, including getting mated to a dragon.  Rimash is the Security Master for the Archive and is finally getting his mate.

The 25th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series, Oppose, is about prejudice and how differences are treated on Terran, as well as some interesting tidbits about the different alien societies that this series has created.  There were some humorous moments that had me laughing out loud at times.  I loved the court scene toward the end.  The concept of having a central archive is not new, though the way this one came about is.

Rimash is an Asian dragon, which departs from the typical dragon shifter we normally read about.  Part of the mating ritual between Rimash and Jill is there must be acceptance of his animal form.  The chemistry between Rimash and Jill is hot.

An incident on Jill’s first day at the archives changes her life forever and pits her against two different societies with different ideas about women and the roles they play.  It was funny how quickly a nanny and new quarters, supplies and schedules were implemented. I also loved Jill’s reaction to meeting the Archive itself.

I had to laugh at a scene in the epilogue, especially since it hints at a future story about Rimash’s and Jill’s daughter.  I am looking forward to more in this series.

Kaylee is kidnapped during a friend’s bonding ceremony.  Kaylee is very pregnant and very hormonal, which is a big problem for the kidnappers.  Kaylee’s mate, Talree, will do almost anything to go through those that took her.

The fifth book in the Coletti Warlords series, Just Desserts, picks up where Reality Bites ended.  Just Desserts is a humorous look at a very hormonal pregnant woman who is a warrior in her own right and wreaks havoc among her mate’s enemies.  One thing longtime fans of this series need to know, since the first two books are not available right now, is that the story does have a few flashbacks from Just My Luck regarding Kaylee’s and Talree’s relationship, along with how they met some of their allies.  This has a big bearing on some of the scenarios is this book.

I love Kaylee.  She is a former cop from Earth and a spitfire that happens to be a trouble magnet.  Her family is constantly pulling their hair out due to her antics.  She has the same effect on Talree and his family, though her father-in-law Zarek can curb some of it.  The enemies that ended up kidnapping Kaylee made a major mistake doing so.

The allies that Kaylee’s family made help try to find Kaylee, as well as destroy those that took her.  One thing that also made this a fun suspense story is that various enemies kept taking her from each other.  Those that have read the stories available know how the women in the Jones family are, so what happens should be no surprise, with the exception of how things unfold.

There are a lot of interesting characters showing up, both friend and foe in the story and series.  The author has created a very interesting world, along with the various life forms in the stories that continue to surprise me.

I hope there will be more stories about the Coletti Warlords in the future.  I recommend that the available stories be read in order to get the best picture of the Coletti world, and Just Desserts answers questions that readers may have had about Kaylee and Talree.

Olena is balking about going into space, though she had originally signed up for the Volunteer Project.  Once at her duty station, she wakes up Brin when his ship is brought in for salvage.  An adventure she hadn’t signed up for is now hers.

Obsolete is the 24th book in the Terran Times Second Wave series and brings a planet’s Avitar, thought dead, to the station where Olena is working as a salvage technician. The relationship between Olena and Brin is interesting.  One thing I found funny was the way Olena kept trying to add enhancements, such as her nails, and dying her hair purple.

The author did a good job showing how prejudices can affect jobs, especially coming in with a talent to do the job, and being a different species.  This also comes into play once Brin and Olena arrive at the moon that will become the new planet to replace the old.

Ms. Grace has managed to keep this series interesting, and this book is no different.  While a fast read, Obsolete is set in another interesting society showing how Terrans adapt. One thing fans will notice about this series is that the titles are following the alphabet with several stories with each letter.  I am looking forward to the next one.

Bella decides to take an assignment on a planet where faces are covered because she wants to be accepted for her mind, not her looks.  Lord Akking wants Bella after he meets her and maneuvers to get her assigned to him as his assistant.

Object is the 23rd book in the Terran Times Second Wave series.  This was different as most people rely on their looks, but Kloa requires all public workers, and the aristocracy, to wear masks to cover their faces.  The court uniform also has garments that hide the shape of their bodies. The history about how this came about is interesting and Bella gets a personal tour, which includes the original looks of the Kloa.

Lord Akking has a club called Face-to Face, where traders and alien workers go so they can talk and discuss business among themselves without the masks.  I thought this was an interesting concept. The staff of the club was great and Bella realized that she could be friends with some of them.  I laughed at some of the expectation the staff had about Bella and Lord Akking, especially since everyone could see they had some intense chemistry.

There are some interesting things in the future of this series based on the epilogue.  Most of the stories can be read as standalone books.

Zelia dreams of being alone with a child, but her family keeps her pretty busy.  After Zelia foils an assassination attempt, she is offered her dream through the Volunteer Project.

Obedient is the 22nd book in the Terran Times Second Wave series.  This was a little different than some of the other books in this series, as Zelia has actually befriended a few of the aliens at the Volunteer Project.

Zelia doesn’t feel appreciated by her family and is constantly trying to please them by obeying what they ask.  After she saved several of the aliens, she finally tells someone her dream and is surprised when they can accommodate her.  Of course, there are a few complications to clear up before making her dream happen.

I liked Rad, who turns out to be the father of her child.  The chemistry between the two is intense and I liked the way Rad gives Zelia her space due to her request.  Some of the secondary characters are from the first Terran Times series and end up being in this book.  The group on the planet was an interesting side story.

I am looking forward to the next story, as Ms. Grace constantly surprises with the various twists of characters and the planets involved.

Gala can’t feel anything and is constantly getting injured.  The Volunteer Project finds a place for her on Rekfa.  Gala finds more than she ever dreamed.

Numb is the 20th installment of the Terran Times Second Wave series by Viola Grace.  Those that are fans know that there are always some surprises, either about the population or the characters themselves.

The Avatar on Rekfa needs a new host.  Gala is willing to be that host in exchange for her biggest dream.  Gala never expected to find love with one of the Immortals living there.  Arez and Gala have some intense chemistry and I really liked the way he was with her.

Numb has the two main characters from Noble, Aster and Yodin, among the first supporters of the new Avatar, and help Gala learn about her new world. There were some interesting snippets about the population of Rekfa.

Numb was a fast paced story.  Several books in this series are related but most can be read alone.  I am looking forward to the next one.

Myra discovers that she is the last known member of the Day clan and is told she must be returned to the planet of her ancestors.  She realizes there is a reason that six specific men are sent to guard her on her trip.  Arbor is one of them.

Noble is the 21st story in the Terran Times Second Wave series by Viola Grace.  This story was different in that the heroine does not really want to volunteer, but is coerced by her grandparents.  Once her DNA is confirmed as part alien, and what she really is, Myra’s life seems to spiral out of her control.

The way Myra has to pick a consort was interesting and I loved that Arbor was the only one that pictured her.  Myra also has to learn why she is so important and gets ‘on the job training’ from the planet’s avatar and Arbor.

Even though she was forced to return, there are some that don’t want her there.  Between the attempts on her life, visiting the women on the planet and changing some sociality mores, Myra finds herself as she researches the history of the planet and its people.

I am looking forward to future books in this series, as most have a unique outlook on distant worlds.

After a meteor hit Earth, Ellie, along with a young girl she knows, are trying to survive.  They are trying to reach a shelter when they run into Bayden and his fellow Reapers.  Ellie and Molly go with them to Ryon.

The first book in the Warriors of Ryon series, Bayden, gives readers a look into a new world with a lot of pitfalls.  Bayden is a former Enforcer that started the Reapers to oppose the King and protect the innocent as much as possible.  The Reapers are a group of men from the various planets that make up Ryon.

Ellie falls for Bayden, but isn’t sure about their relationship, especially in light of her own discovery and what she has been reading.  Bayden is very attracted to Ellie and knows he is not good for her.  The chemistry between them is great, once they get together.

Of course things don’t go smoothly, from his fellow Reapers warning Baydon about Ellie to betrayal.  Some things within the story were a little predictable, but others were a refreshing surprise.  Each of the Reapers have a very distinct personality.

I enjoyed this first book of the Warriors of Ryon and am looking forward to see where the author takes it.  I am trying to guess which Reaper will be next to fall in love.
