Connor Greeley’s dream of being an actor has him hitchhiking from his hometown in Wyoming to Los Angeles. A situation that could have become more deadly than dangerous is contained, thanks to the quick reaction of Jace Bennett. The journey shows Connor a side of life he never knew and turns into an adventure he won’t soon forget.
Lacey Anne Frye writes One for the Road from Connor’s viewpoint. Connor’s ability to bounce back seems surreal and it almost felt as if Jace was affected more by the encounters. His gentleness and willingness not only to help, but to protect and respect Connor’s wishes, is what made this story for me. I was drawn to Jace and while I wasn’t privy to his emotions, it came through loud and clear by his actions, words and expressions. I could understand why Connor found this honorable man attractive. One for the Road is a good read that mixes a dash of action into the everyday life of a trucker and mixes in spicy flashes of erotic encounters. The story is balanced and leaves a few questions you’ll want a sequel to answer.
