Meredith, an older woman unhappy with her marriage and her job as a realtor, has resorted to calling a telephone sex line for temporary relief of her sexual frustration. For a better life, Meredith knows she needs to make some changes but doesn’t know where to start. Her main focus is on getting an old mansion sold as soon as possible and the local media’s constant reminder of the death in the house is only making it more difficult.

At present, Meredith’s biggest problem is her sex-addicted husband and his perverted and bizarre demands. She finds herself unsatisfied by him and finally starts to seek pleasure in younger men. When she is confronted by one of her lovers, who wants more from her even though he knows she is married, things take a turn for the worst. When Meredith finds herself being kidnapped, she realizes that she should have done more to discourage the unwanted attention and been more careful in achieving her own needs.

What Are You Wearing? is a bizarre story of women who are sex-starved or never had a clear understanding of what making love was about. These women find themselves in situations brought on by their own making, and some of the scenes described were a little too much for me. When Meredith’s husband is making his demands of her, I could only think…damn. Did he really think she would keep doing what he wanted after twenty years of marriage and never say NO to him? I was very proud of her after the last episode of being forced to have sex and the threat to harm her, if she didn’t cooperate.

This definitely went down the path of sexual abuse and while Ms. Blair expressed a very descriptive behavior of how people can become obsessed with sex, it was rather unsettling, to put it mildly. There really was no plot, other than the young man’s belief that Meredith belonged to him and the kooks who were persistent in buying the house. If you are looking for a lot of phone sex or abuse sex, this is the book for you.

The Price of Submission

Misty has to look for other employment when the club she is waitressing in closes. She is offered a contract to be a submissive for a year to a wealthy man, who is into the BDSM lifestyle.

Garron only hires his submissives because he doesn’t want the complication of a real relationship. Misty challenges this idea. He trains her to become his submissive and ends up falling in love with her. However, someone in his household doesn’t like it and is targeting Misty.

The Price of Submission is a wonderfully written book about two people with very different pasts coming together. Ms. Cary strikes a good balance between the different types of relationships each have and how they are handled even as the “playroom” is brought into their lives. Ms. Cary keeps the suspense about Misty’s enemy going to the end because it turns out to be a surprise. I will be reading this one again.

Morgan Carbone is a hard-boiled detective who’s after a serial killer preying on young women. During an interrogation with the man, she’s attacked and her life is suddenly changed forever. Now she’s compelled to hunt down a vampiress, but what happens when her own emotions become entangled with the enigmatic woman she’s supposed to kill?

Under the Moonlight is a fast-paced story full of action--in and out of the bed. The plot is very intriguing, especially given some key players I personally loved reading. I don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say that one of those players is a particular historical figure known for her… bloodlust. The love scenes are hot and never repetitive and the ending was wonderful.

If you enjoy lesbian vampire stories, I definitely suggest giving Under the Moonlight a read.

Micki has lusted after and longed for Starlyn for two years. As the manager of the popular lesbian nightclub, TM's, Starlyn has watched Micki float from woman to woman, never landing anywhere long. Micki finally gives up, figuring Starlyn simply doesn't want her. Then TM's hosts a charity contest in which the winner gets a date with Starlyn. Micki enters... and wins. Now she just has to make the night one that neither of them – especially Starlyn – ever forgets.

The Prize is a well-written romance centering on two beautiful but lonely women. While the plot isn't deep, the emotions are, and when Micki and Starlyn finally get each other alone, it's worth the wait. The sex was very well done, soft and satisfying but never over-the-top.

Overall, The Prize is a feel-good lesbian romance, one I'd be inclined to recommend for someone looking for a light but fun read.
