Both were determined not to rock the boat for their own personal reasons. I was proud of Logan when he recognized Sophie could be that one person to complete his life. Even with his issues, he knew he wanted more of a connection with a woman. Sophie’s character had me smiling and throwing high fives. Knowing what you want sexually is a key factor in crawling away from the bed with a smile on your face. They make a cute couple when their clothes are on, and create a forest fire when they come off. Michelle Cary has definitely created an enjoyable read.

Ian Winters is still recovering from a bad divorce, from a wife not deserving what she got, and a brother, for whose death he feels responsibility. Now that he has Valerie in his life and is introducing her to a lot of taboo situations only makes her keep her distance without his encouragement.

Fighting the Undertow is a wonderful love story that had so many complications, it was a wonder the characters were making it past them. With it maybe being a little too soon for the lovers to come together but needing each other made it more livable for them. There was a lot of mystery surrounding the story and I loved every moment of reading this book. While at a party hosted at the parent’s home, I was not surprised at the reaction of the parents to their surviving sons or Valerie, who was shunned because of Ian.

Eden Rivers writes of a beautiful beach home that had loads of memories for friends and family alike. The love that was shared by everyone was unbelievable very tender and a lifeline if I ever saw one. I was left with wanting this to be a fairy tale but knew better and hoped that all the couples survived.

This is a very well written story about the relationship between two people that have some major insecurities. The story is about the relationship between Lonnie and Wolfe and how they slowly resolve it. I enjoyed reading this book.

There is no indication that Lonnie Heats Up is actually the second of four books about the Magnificent Men of Munich until after the book ends. There is a slight mention of the other characters in this book and based on Lonnie Heats Up, all can be read as stand-alone-books.

Annwyl only wanted to be loved and it never came from her father or her brother, who was trying to kill her at every opportunity. She was fighting her brother’s men and was about to die when Fearghus, the dragon, shows up to save her from death. She had no idea what she was in store for after being healed but found out quickly while she was training to fight her brother.

Fearghus, the Destroyer, is trying to figure out why he saved Annwyl but knows that he wants her with him. His kind as dragons did not interfere with humans although he found himself doing that more and more as time passed. With his sister helping to care for her it was easy to stay away, but then she was able to get around on her own he could not avoid her at all. Between his siblings and Annwyl, he was being driven crazy and the only thing left to do was kill them all, knowing that their parents would not approve.

Dragon Actually was such a wonderful story of a dragon and queen who found something that was very rare in life. I found myself laughing and wondering what would happen next between the couple. These two characters loved each other beyond the norm. Because of the changes with her brother, Annwyl faced his mother’s fire causing her to be able to defeat another dragon. This girl could not keep her mouth shut egging others on for a fight all the time, regardless of who what trying to help her and with being called “Annwyl the Bloody” did not help matters, either.

G. A. Aiken writes of dragons, true love between different races and fighting which lead to a fabulous story that left me wanting more. To have a dragon or dragons wanting to protect and care for you is frightening and wonderful at the same time. I am looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed The Best Man. Quaid was a saint in this story. His complete love and supportiveness for his boyfriend was beyond measuring. However Zack was a character I couldn’t come to care for. Relationships have their difficulties, but Zack’s reasons, whilst can be written off as simple frustration, almost ended a beautiful relationship. However, I have to give the author credit for the angst she churned in this simple story. Ms. Jones did well with her characters emotions in this quick story.

There was a lot of love, snow and good food in this story and I really enjoyed reading it. This is one story I hope Aliyah Burke will add more to it with the rest of the characters involved. Her writing is wonderful done and I’m looking forward to reading her other books too.

Picture Perfect is the latest release by author Evangeline Anderson. Once again she’s created sexy, interesting characters in the middle of an intriguing plot filled with passion, tension, hot sex and high-art photography. I found Kurt’s protectiveness totally endearing, and how he was willing to do anything…anything, to see Melanie happy. He’s a typical alpha male from beginning to end. Melanie is a college student who’s using modeling to earn money for school expenses.

I did have a problem with Melanie’s willingness to do a modern Kama Sutra book just because of the stellar reputation of the photographer. While the set-up of the story was unique and Ms. Anderson did a great job describing the long photography/sex scene, there just wasn’t enough substance for me. Then there was the constant re-hashing of the fact they were step-siblings and shouldn’t be involved. This part of the story I confess I just couldn’t get. They’re parents married when they were mid-teenagers, not toddlers. They weren’t blood kin…they weren’t related in any way, except by marriage, so they wasn’t any real reason they couldn’t be involved. Please take note of the publisher’s warning below.

Beauty and the Beasts is wonderfully written and I was totally engrossed reading the whole time. This threesome was meant for each other before they were told and did everything within their power to make it happen. Talk about emotions running rampant was only the start of things and it got even better each time Stavros, Caine and Abigail were together. Ava Rose Johnson had done a fabulous job of creating characters that came to life for me and I am hoping there will be more to this story.

The villain has a gruesome and morbid preoccupation with cleanliness, making the torture scenes truly revolting. And there is a bit too much silly bickering after the bad guy has been apprehended. But Lynn’s personal growth is interesting and there’s some really tense action. The story includes a helpful glossary for those of us unfamiliar with fandom, and a fascinating view of cyber dangers in the Kansas Heartland.

While I have read several ménage stories, some of which I liked and some I did not, Willa Okati’s Big Enough for Five is my first five-some. There were some things I was worried about when I started this book like would there be any kind of plot? Would it be all sex all the time? Would there be any chemistry between them as a group or just a couple of them? These were all worries that were quickly put to rest. While Ryan, Baz, Marcus, and Aidan were already a group, the introduction of Nicholas into their family is the focus of the story. Although the men have a lot of hot sex, it is not something that is heavy-handed or crude. We are able to see the chemistry between the men, not only as a group but also as couples, as they learn how to make their growing family work. I also loved the way the story was written, showing us snippets of the men’s day in a specific characters POV, allowing the story to have a faster pace. Big Enough for Five is one more book I will be adding to my save pile.

I’m anxiously waiting to see which member of the Renegade the love bug will next bite.

Heart and Soul is the story of Mary & Laughtry’s journey for answers. They’ve both had their lives marked by Ray Blackhawk and I was thoroughly convinced at the impact Ray had on both characters. As I learned more about the power Ray held over them both, I needed answers too. Well defined characters lead me on a roller coaster of emotion, sometimes almost too intense for me to bear. Lust, hurt, betrayal and confusion are powerful tools that the author explores very well. There was a satisfying conclusion to their journey as characters start to understand the importance of each other in their lives and I was left with a sense of destiny playing its part; that people come into our lives for a reason. Both Mary & Laughtry want their relationship with Ray to be the anchor that keeps him close but it seems Ray is destined for higher things; things that are left unsaid. It made me wonder if these three characters’ destiny being entwined is a good thing or a bad thing and that’s the journey you’ll have to take as you decide for yourself.

The Ultimate Kink is the second release in the Quinn Security series and it’s another definite winner in my opinion. Much longer and with more detail and background than the first release, the author quickly pulls the reader into the story from the very first page. While Canin has his own secrets, he’s still the more open and easier to understand of the two. Kasey, on the other hand, keeps everyone at arms length, participating in the lives of her friends without letting them get too close, or learn details of her past. This part of Kasey’s personality makes her not only intriguing, but more than a little lonely and sad, and Ms. Dane does a great job doling out pieces of information to explain her behavior without making Kasey’s personality too morose.

The secondary characters that join the plot as patrons of the sex club are all interesting, giving the story greater depth and personality. The sex between Canin and Kasey is hot and graphic, yet it never felt overdone or excessive, always staying true to the current scenes and plot. But the best thing about these sex scenes is the growing emotional attachment both felt for the other. This is what makes the sex take on an intensely personal versus clinical feeling that I truly appreciated. There were times that I didn’t think Kasey would be able to get over her past, but Ms. Dane did an outstanding job of helping her work through her old trauma and allowing the real Kasey to come shining through.

A western tale with more than a hint of mystic and magic was not a combination I was expecting but although I sometimes felt the two themes could actually have been expanded to two separate stories, it in no way detracted from my enjoyment of reading this quickie. To me, this was like a modern day adult fairytale; the story of two good people, unlucky in love but finally finding their perfect partner and having a mind boggling amount of hot, steamy sex along the way.

And the secrets these four men keep from one another are putting a strain on their relationship. With mysterious deaths surrounding them, the hidden truths no longer have a place to reside. The time for trust and honesty is at hand, or there could be more to lose than just a bedmate and friendship.

Soul Mates: Secrets takes us back into Peter’s life. He is adjusting to his powers, but his bond with Lucien isn’t as strong as it used to be. Both men are holding their cards close to their chest, and that’s causing more of a rife in their fragile relationship. Thanks to Sabaan’s love, Nikolas has come a long way in showing his emotions, but he’s still the hard ass he always was. From the way this story ended, I’m sure there is at least one more book coming in this series, if not more. So, for those who have read this series in its entirety, I am sure that’s wonderful news. I don’t know if Peter can squeeze one more person in his bed without stretching his love and time too far. While I enjoy reading about his sexual escapades, I’m sure that even Lucien would have difficulty sharing the man he loves with yet another mate. The story has enough action and suspense to balance out the sex and lust.

Josh figured that when Peter calmed down and came to his senses he’d call…except he never did.

Weeks later, Josh breaks down and tries to call his former lover, only to find that both his business and cell phone numbers have been disconnected. The only thing that makes any sense is that Peter has found another lover. Not able to move on himself, Josh comes home to confront Peter personally and hear that they are really over this time. Instead, he learns the most horrific news. Peter was killed two months before during the theft of his car. Even through his grief and pain, Josh learns that death isn’t what he thought and that sometimes if you’re meant to be together, love will find a way no matter the obstacles.

This Time For Keeps starts off rather oddly for a romance, and that’s with the death of one of the two main characters, Peter. I have to admit that I was intrigued by the original concept of this unusual gay contemporary, but what really amazed me was that the author handled Josh’s pain and grief without allowing the story to take on a dark or depressing tone. In fact, it’s rather light-hearted and humorous, which I didn’t expect, but appreciated nonetheless. Then there’s the matter of the relationship between Peter and Josh…who knew sex with a ghost could be so hot!

The characters are rough and edgy, but their romance is beyond hot. A fantastic read indeed.

Dragonheat is a very good sequel to Dragonfire. It is just as fast paced and well written, keeping the balance between Nikolai, Rainer and Dee Dee’s relationship and the suspense of the story.

More importantly, thanks to the love and support of family, they had anchors to support them through their reconnecting period. There were a few times that I could see them losing sight of the desire to be in a committed relationship. While both men wanted each other, there was a great deal of pain to overcome. As always, Cameron Dane has written characters that remind you of friends and neighbors. I’m hoping Aidan’s brother is next on the agenda, but will be happy for any of the supporting cast to find love and happiness.

The idea of the story was good but I had a hard time following the story.

She has friends and close family but no children of her own. Then Cupid comes to her and gives her the chance to change that one choice. Cupid makes it possible for Renee to go back in time and be with her love, Royce Cole, forever.

Caught by a Hawk - 3 Nymphs - Icie was willing to do her duty and fought for that when Chief Dyami wanted something different. Hawk was an honorable man that just wanted to protect his family home.

Cupid’s Touch has its good points and bad. Overall, it is a good read. I personally enjoyed Cupid’s thoughts imputed throughout the stories. If you like interracial romance, this is a good book to read.
