Jessica Knapp doesn’t have esteem issues, she’s just realistic.  She’s a single mother who works as a secretary for one of the most attractive men walking the planet.  Having more than enough meat on her bones and a few years on her boss, Jessie knows there’s no way a man like him could desire a woman like her.  Still, that didn’t stop her from secretly hoping.  When an unexpected business trip throws the two together, Jessie finds out how wrong she is.   

Either she didn’t like him or she wasn’t taking his advances seriously.  Declan Cairne couldn’t figure out which of these issues was keeping Jessie away from him, but he was determined to fix the problem.  She’s the one and Declan’s dragon accepts her as his mate.  Once he convinces Jessie of this and deals with her abusive ex-husband, they can start their new life together. 

Jessie and Declan get better acquainted on their dream trip, which quickly turns into a nightmare.  Jessie’s ex-husband has returned for Jessie and her son.  After all she’d gone through to protect her son,  Jessie finds it hard to turn to Delcan for help.  She’s afraid to bring harm to Declan’s doorstep, even though Declan wants to take control of the situation.  Jessie’s fear caused her to make a rash decision which almost gave her ex-husband the upper hand.  True to his word, Declan handled everything and mother and son were saved. 

Declan took his sweet time letting Jessie in on the secret that he’s a dragon and man, was the timing bad.  Jessie’s son helped soften the blow.  It was easy to like Jessie because I could see myself in her and my heart also went out to her.  After all she endured to keep her son safe, I wanted her to wind up with a strong man who knew how to take charge.  Declan is that man.  He is everything Jessie deserves.  I ended Dragon Hunts  wishing dragons were real.  Give this book a read, and I bet you will agree with me.

Kyran walked into the locker room while Anna was trying to get out of her costume for the Griffins football team.  Kyran has been trying to get Anna to take him seriously when he asks her out, but Anna can’t believe he wants her since she is ten years older than him. 

Quarterback Blitz will keep you on the edge of your seat.  The suspense the author created around both Kyran and Anna is intense and, at times, will surprise you.  Anna is self-conscious of her body and her age.  Kyran couldn’t care less.  I loved the way Kyran let Anna know he was serious.   

Both characters, as well as the secondary ones, are strong and I definitely want to know more about some of them.  The author showed the steps to take when you have a serious stalker that seems to find you, no matter what.  Some of the stalking and incidents could have been taken out of the headlines.   

The relationship between Anna and Kyran is intense.  Keep ice on hand for some of their sex scenes.  I liked that the author showed how some problems could come up with a professional football team when they were on the road, and some behind-the-scenes when there is a mascot involved. 

This is one book I will be reading again and can’t wait to read about some of the other characters in the future.

Celebrating her birthday at a strip club wasn’t Felicia Jeffries’ choice, but her girlfriends wouldn’t let her chicken out. They insisted that she let her hair down and get wild for one night.  Felicia’s embarrassment quickly turns to lust when she sniffs a warm musky scent and touches a smooth broad chest.  Felicia can’t help wanting the sexy hunk, even though she has to be twenty years his senior.   

Garrett Holcomb is drawn to the beauty in the red dress the moment he spots her in the club.  Felicia’s friend has too much to drink, so Garrett leaps at the opportunity to lend a helping hand.  Their age difference doesn’t bother Garrett, even though Felicia tries to use it as an excuse.  Realizing that they can’t fight the attraction, Garrett and Felicia give in and try dating. 

Things get complicated when an old acquaintance makes trouble for Felicia and Garrett.  A wedge is formed between the couple, putting their trust to the test.  If Garrett can’t prove his innocence, he’ll be set up for crimes he didn’t commit and lose everything in the process.  Felicia will do anything she can to help Garrett, even if it means giving him up.   

Although Bump ‘n’ Grind is not a series, it is linked to Bits n Bytes. Readers can read it as a standalone story without feeling lost, although if you are a Sam Cheever fan, I suggest you read both for the fun of it.  I enjoyed Felicia and Garrett’s story because it was more than I was expecting.  Garrett’s character is a well rounded, nice guy and I couldn’t resist his charm.  When I think of male strippers, I don’t always come up with a positive image, but Garrett has definitely changed that for me.  He wasn’t a man whore, as I was expecting.  I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that he wanted more from Felicia than just sex.  Felicia is easy to relate to and I think women will like her.  I understood her fear in trusting Garrett and even in getting involved with him in the first place.  She had realistic doubts and realistic responses, which always makes the story more real for me.  Her group of friends sound like so much fun, I would love to know them.   The “who done it” suspense is an added surprise that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.  Readers will definitely get a kick out of this wonderful story.
