They say things happen in 3’s and these three friends definitely make some things happen.  Caroline, Jackie and Stephanie have come up with a plan to save their business.  These ladies are the proud owners of a quaint bed and breakfast.  Or, at least they were until they discovered some illegal changes in the paperwork, which now has them evicted.

The friends refuse to take this lying down so they decide to snatch the traitorous man who caused this.  They would convince him to do the right thing by giving him the scare of his life.  In theory it sounded like a plan that couldn’t fail, but in reality things took a left turn right from the beginning.

Jebediah kept telling the ladies that he wasn’t the man they were looking for, but they refused to listen.  Truthfully, they all seemed kind of frightening, except for Jackie.  Something about her was calling to him, so Jebediah became less upset about being tied up. His hands ached to have a much better purpose, if only he could convince Jackie to untie him.

Eventually the ladies realize their mistake, but not before things take an erotic turn. The whole situation brings out things in Jackie that she has never acted on and Jebediah is about to lose control.  Just when it seems all hope is lost, Jebediah gives the ladies some information that saves their bed and breakfast.

Something about kidnapping a man and having him helpless gives every woman a rush.  Oops!, the first installment of the Yule Tied series was an adventure gone wrong but man, it couldn’t have ended more perfectly.  I felt like I knew this group of women so I knew they wouldn’t hurt a fly.  I was shocked because I thought all of them were more straight laced, and boy was I mistaken.  Jackie had no shame in her game when it came to Jebediah and I liked that about her.  She gave her two girlfriends a show I doubt they were expecting.  Thank goodness Jebediah was on their side.  This quick read has everything from comedy to action and adventure.  The ending was so clever and unexpected, I loved it.  Anne Kane did an outstanding job on kicking off this series, and readers will be missing out if they don’t pick this one up.

Princess Penelope has been running from an evil queen for a while.  Now that she’s been captured, there is only one choice for freedom.  Penelope accepted a dangerous quest to the Andvarian source, even though it could mean death.  Also there was the problem of the sexy baritone man that she was chained to as a partner on the quest.  Sex with him was off the table, no matter how much he made Penelope burn.

Shane Masters is no ordinary man.  He’s willing to do anything necessary to go free, but also to sleep with Penelope, regardless of the hopeless circumstances.  Protecting Penelope comes naturally for Shane and he isn’t shy about letting her know how he feels.

Once Upon A Dragon is the second installment in the WTF Dragon series.  The story starts with lots of history in play and left me with questions.  By the end of the adventure, I was up to speed.  Penelope and Shane’s immediate attraction added excitement to the chaos going on around them.  I enjoyed how magic worked for and against the couple at the same time.  This story is definitely not predictable, and I think readers will appreciate the “outside the box” plot from Dawn Montgomery.

Vamp

Title: Vamp
Author: Rob Rosen

ISBN/BIN: MLR-1-02013-0115
Genre: {M/M}, Paranormal, Humor
Rating: 4.5 Nymphs

Jack is minding his own business, working a job he does not really like when one day a call comes in that changes his life forever.  Finding out that a world of paranormal beings live around him is shocking enough, but realizing that he carries a dormant gene that allows him to become a vampire is not something he expected to hear.

Rob Rosen’s newest story, Vamp, takes place within the same world as his Queerwolf story; however, the two do not need to be read together.  In this newest story, the main character, Jack, believes he is an orphan, until he gets a call saying he had a cousin, Boris.  Unfortunately, before Jack gets the chance to meet his new cousin, he is told that Boris has died in a “hunting” accident.  From this point on, Jack’s life takes on a whole new twist.

The story is told in first person from Jack’s point of view and Mr. Rosen does an excellent job bringing Jack’s personality across.  At the same time, Jack brings the rest of the cast alive for the readers.  One of those characters is Steven, who fans of Mr. Rosen will remember was a bit of a baddy in Queerwolf.   These two really click and the passion between them is hot.  There are many more secondary characters woven into this story and most will have you laughing out loud.  There are many twists and one in particular will leave you shocked.

Vamp also takes a new look at the Vampire sub-genre and the new changes are sure to bring the author some new fans.  The way in which Jack was “brought over” is one of the new twists used by the author.  I will leave the rest up to you to discover, be prepared to laugh more than once.  The snarky dialog, wonderfully written characters, and slight mystery that are woven throughout Vamp will keep you tied to the story.

Charlotte loves her job running a cupcake shop and the perks that come with it.  When she meets a steamy seducer named Viktor, Charlotte can’t get enough of him.

After two centuries, Viktor found the woman he wants to spend eternity with.  Charlotte made him feel things Viktor thought he could no longer feel. Could he be selfish and have her?

Things don’t go as planned for Charlotte or Viktor but in the end, all is as it should be.  Charlotte comes to grips with her new life, while Viktor helps her adapt.  Viktor enjoys the brightness Charlotte brings to his life and I welcomed their union.  When an ancient vampire experiences love, it’s a powerful thing.  Seeing the humanity in Viktor made him one hot vampire in my eyes.  I loved how he broke the rules to please Charlotte.

Fangs in Frosting is a heartwarming fun read that was a great start to the Fangs In series.  Whatever happens next, I look forward to it.

Ruling a billion-dollar fragrance industry is a piece of cake for Sasha St. Claire. She’s the best at what she does as a businesswoman and vampire. Her day of meetings and planning the next werewolf assassination takes a nose dive when everything electrical in her office dies.

Tripp Stefano is more than a nonchalant maintenance man. He’s also the notorious Stalker, a werewolf who has several vampire kills under his belt. For months, Tripp’s been working for Sasha’s company and waiting for the perfect opportunity to kill her.

Sasha and Tripp each have a job to do but all they can think about is ripping each other’s clothes off. Mind blowing sex first and assassination after. That was the new plan. After the connection formed between the couple, would either of them be able to complete their mission?

I fell in love with Scents, the second story of the Assassins in Lace series, before I finished the first page. How could I resist these lethal, lustful opposites who attract? Tripp picked some interesting moments to divulge information to Sasha that he conveniently forgot to mention, which had me grinning from ear to ear. His easygoing arrogance is a total turn on, because he uses it to push all of Sasha’s buttons. Sasha thinks she has the upper hand, but she fell hard for Tripp the very first moment. That kind of unexpected chemistry appeals to me more in this story because Tripp and Sasha are sworn enemies. Hopefully by the next installment in this series, the couple will find a way to kiss that isn’t fatal. But, I have to admit that Jocelyn Michel has found sensational substitutions for French kissing that will leave readers as breathless as I was when I finished this amazing story. I will never look at the maintenance man in my office the same after this.

Drake is a genetically enhanced police officer. He likes his sex and his scotch straight up and his women voluptuous. He doesn’t do relationships, but that thinking changes after he spends time with Hunny Lapin. She is perfect for the big man. Her lush body and strawberry scent have Drake reaching for the cream, and ready to cream. When Hunny calls, Drake is more than willing to protect and serve up some erotic fun. Regardless of the trouble that helping her brings, Drake knows it’s worth the effort.

Hunny and Drake had me ready to continue my quest for a man with a badge. Their hot and steamy encounters had me squirming in my seat, wishing for a reason to be searched by the local hot cop. Badge Bunny is a very interesting story and a wonderful addition to the Protect and Serve series.

It’s so nice to have a character fully contemplate the enjoyment that can be received by a lush body. I liked Drake off the bat. He knows what he likes and refuses to accept less. Hunny is no wilting flower. She’s strong and determined, which is the combination needed to keep Drake on his toes.

Badge Bunny is has some action, suspense and a policeman with loaded weapons that he isn’t afraid to use. Pick up a copy and enjoy.

Foxxe Wylder is loved by his audience because of his courage, incredible looks, and breathtaking physique. The survival show star always brings something to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, and his trip to Yellowstone will either prove to be the show to propel his career forward or end it with a resounding plop.

Reno may have been born part of a pack, but his heart aches for the opportunity to live like a man. Being hit by a car wasn’t part of the plan however it’s the catalyst for Reno to have all his desires met.

Lena Austin’s latest release Man vs. Wild takes us on a fantastic journey through Yellowstone. It was easy to see why Foxxe has such a strong fan base. His ability to make his adventures interesting made me wish it was an actual television show. Reno’s innocence adds to his appeal and is one of his characteristics that I loved the most. He is a perfect companion for Foxxe. Their mutual love of nature is the great foundation for these men to build their relationship on. From the setting to the plot, there wasn’t anything I found lacking in Man vs. Wild.

I’m anxiously awaiting the next story in the Coyotes of Yellowstone series. Buy a copy and enjoy!

When she was in her cat form, Callie loved being petted. However, she was no way close to being a people person. People always did something to piss her off and Callie always had a comeback waiting in the wings. Ripping people to shreds with her words was Callie’s favorite hobby. She knew her mouth was going to get her in a sticky situation one day, but Callie never expected to like it.

Things really got interesting when the queen of the bar that Callie hangs out issues a challenge; anyone who can still Callie’s tongue wins a romp in bed with her for the night.

For months, Eli had been in the bar watching and wanting Callie. She had a fierceness that Eli found irresistible. One night with her would never be enough for him. All Eli had to do was convince Callie that he is the man who can deliver everything she wants and needs, no matter what she says.

Callie and Eli burn up the pages when they get together in the latest addition to the Bedtime Series Shut Up! Eli was supposed to be the one doing the taming but Callie definitely brought him to heel, as well. As tough as Callie seems on the outside, she is no different than every other woman, once you get past her wall. We all have coping strategies and Callie’s just happens to be her mouth. If Callie were a real person, she would either be your best friend or your worst enemy. Not many men would take the time to dig deeper and get into Callie’s heart and I’m glad that Eli was that man. He was more than I originally thought.

Marteeka Karland gives Eli a clever back story that has me dying to know more about his past. This story has a perfect balance of humor and heat that will leave readers wanting more.

Over the years, Egan has been rejected more times than he can count, by the same woman. The dragon in him is bound and determined to claim its mate, regardless of what she says. Eventually, he knows Mireya has to say yes. Doesn’t she?

Mireya wants Egan; there is no doubt about it. However, she has her reasons for not succumbing to his charm and paralyzing good looks. When Egan changes his methods to wear her down, the walls Mireya erected around her heart fall like a house of cards.

Though I haven’t read the other books in the Dragon Kin series, I certainly will after the brief look I got into Egan’s chase of Mireya. That dragon melted my heart with the depth of his love for his soul mate and his determination to never give up. At the beginning, I just couldn’t help wondering if Mireya was a few sips short of a full glass for turning Egan away. Seeing how frustrated he was made for some mighty cute moments that only made me cheer for Egan more. Dragon Kin: Ferret You! is undoubtedly an adorable love story that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy.

Bad Dawg

When Loren signed on with OTR truck driver training, they didn’t explain the hazard of becoming stranded in the middle of nowhere. However, sometimes being left behind can lead to blessings or in Loren’s case, the leather-clad man of his dreams.

Bad Dawg is a member of the Prairie Dawgs, and fresh out of heartbreak hotel. His past love interest had other ideas for where he would play hide-the-salami. He may be a vegan when it comes to consumption but when it comes to carnal desires, BD wants nothing but Grade A meat to fulfill those needs. Moreover, if he hasn’t missed his guess, Loren has a prize just aching for BD to unwrap.

The men hit it off nicely, and believe this is just a one-night stand. Are they right or has BD finally found his mate?

Lena Austin dresses romance up in leather and places it firmly on a '69 Shovelhead in Bad Dawg. I could feel the vibrations coursing through my body, and if the adult toy industry could manufacture it, Duracell would have to create a stronger battery. Loren is a man who knows his own mind. Seeing BD and his motorcycle gave him hope to fulfill a few fantasies. BD notices something in Loren, besides the surprise behind zipper number one, and wants to take the time to get to know him. I knew from their first moments of eye contact that every good intention to be neighborly would fly out of the window. The attraction was molten hot, and wouldn’t wait for them to get to know each other. Bad Dawg definitely brings us some erotic moments that would incite bathroom renovations, but it also delivers a message about love, hope, acceptance, and lending a helping hand. I loved BD’s giving spirit and his openness. He was just the type of man Loren deserved. From the way the story ended, I can only hope we will see BD and Loren in the near future.
