Political deceit condemns Earth’s last survivors to a
lifetime spent on a spaceship. Greed, as well as corruption, sets the ship on a
path of destruction.
The theme of Flux
Orbit is somewhat
confusing. The space ship Apteryx is the last ship to leave Earth. With no
destination charted to another planet, the spaceship has been hovering over the
flux planet for fourteen years. What I found perplexing is the dialog of Kell,
whether it was his thoughts or he was conversing with the alien. The
development along with the purpose eluded me.
The characters
did not fully engage my interest, although there were moments illustrating a
possible romantic attraction between Jorihn Parr and Kell. All of the
characters are devoid of emotional displays associated with humans.
Flux Orbit is a Here and Now saga. The segments of
the storyline I could comprehend I found enjoyable.
