Shannon McFelan already has enough trouble in her life. Her overbearing big brother and former pack leader wants her to find a mate, and the pack council wants her to learn her place. However, if that’s not enough, the blue moon was approaching and Shannon might not have a choice but to submit to a wolf strong enough to dominate her wolf. Luckily, that’s not even an option for Shannon if Vampire Nikolai Taranosky had anything to say about it.

Drawn to Shannon’s inner and outer beauty, Nikolai has no qualms about letting nature take its course. As long as nature remembers that Shannon is his chosen. Nikolai want to share a life with her, and isn’t above a bit of trickery to achieve the goal but ultimately, he wants Shannon to accept him of her own accord.

Nikolai’s Wolf is the third installment of the True Mates series. We met Shannon and Nikolai in the first installment, and gained a bit more information about their situation in book two. Now it’s Shannon’s turn to find love. Shannon is your typical alpha wolf, who puts the pack first. However, she wanted a mate who understood tenderness and how to make love through his words and not just the mere action of copulating. Ultimately, Shannon wanted a mate who loved, respected and cherished her outer woman and inner beast. This is something the little girl in Shannon always dreamt of having and the woman in her refuses to live without. Nikolai is that man and more. When he approached his chosen, his ability to strategize was more of an art form when he applied it to the task. His tactics alone helped him get the prize that eluded every available man in and around Refuge. I was beyond pleased with this installment and I’m looking forward to the next few releases.
