Nymph Rating: 4 Nymphs
Literary Nymphs Reviewer: Scandalous Minx
Tole is still feeling a mixture of jealousy, envy and annoyance over Win’s relationship with Pablo. A desire for fresh air and solitude brings him in contact with Vampire Ridley Barron, Win’s former lover. A campfire and a few moments of shared laughter bring about the realization that they are attracted to one another. Just when it starts to heat up, an attacker spoils the mood leaving Ridley to save the day.
Ridley calls upon the Triumvirate, with news of a new threat to Other and Exceptional beings. But seeing Tole again was well worth the trip. Tole doesn’t know what’s going on with his emotions, but it gives him equal amounts of fear and excitement. When Ridley is kidnapped, it will take the Triumvirate to not only find and rescue him, but figure out a way to eliminate the new element of danger.
This is the second book in the Utopia X series. Win and Pablo’s relationship is causing a bit of friction. While Zee would like to have a lover of his own, he seems to take this new link in stride more so than Tole. Tole’s reaction to Ridley wasn’t one I anticipated, but watching them come to terms with their emotions was enjoyable. I’m looking forward to reading the next installment in this series. There’s a great deal more that has to transpire before Ridley and Tole decide which direction they plan to travel, and I for one can’t wait to find out their decision.
