Jade is trying to clean up her act, though some people don’t want her to change, and moves to
to see Marlon. As much as Marlon likes Jade, he has to be very careful if he wants to keep his job as a deputy. Ohio
While Please Remember Me is a good story, it started off slow for me. However, it picks up later in both tempo and interest. Jade reminds me of a few young ladies that have been in the news lately, though she is very sincere about changing her life for the better. She wants nothing to do with her father and his magazine, but he doesn’t seem to want to let go. Jade made some very bad choices in the past and she has to work double time to convince the people she cares for that she has turned her life around.
Due to things that happened with his late wife before she died, Marlon has a very difficult time trusting. Only by the skin of his teeth did he keep his job then, but the situation with Jade could be the end of his life, as he knows it. Both Jade and Marlon have a lot of mistrust issues to work out. Between the plot twists that show up, and the scheming by those around them, it was very easy to see why. I thought the last twist in the scene between Jade and her father was a wonderful one that I did not see coming. I also enjoyed the way the author resolved one theme that showed up in the book.
