It’s the year 1577 in Western Japan and Liu Sakurai returns home after working in the rice fields; he calls out to his friend Kiyoshi, who is still sleeping. Surrounded by violence and famine Liu, the stronger of the two, loves Kiyoshi more than a brother and will do anything to protect him, until one night when an injured stranger comes to their door. Kuro is more than a Warrior; he awakens the secret desires of the young men and changes their lives forever.

Blood Brothers is the first book of the Blood Brothers series. Liu Sakurai and Kiyoshi have been best friends since childhood. With the death of their parents, Liu moved into Kiyoshi’s house to help work the fields. Their friendship matured into love, but there are some forces that even love cannot endure. The amazing team of Barbara Sheridan and Anne Cain gives the reader a view of feudal Japan and the hardships the people endured. This is an impressive story that I enjoyed.

Nadya is in love with both Rem and Jalen and is desperate to find a way to bring her two lovers into a truce, which will benefit all their peoples. It will also benefit them personally, bringing the two estranged brothers close for the first time in their lives. Unifying their kingdoms and merging their differing ideals is only a small part of their problem. The two sides have been fighting for decades and trust isn’t easily won on either side. It’s up to Nadya to serve as the bridge that will make the plan work; if she can survive the ire of Jalen’s vicious jilted betrothed, who’d like to see her dead.

Vampire Union 3: Unified is the latest release in Kit Tunstall’s futuristic vampire paranormal and it takes up where Liberated left off. Once again, the reader is thrust into an interesting world where humans and vampires struggle to survive and prosper in a feudal system post armed global conflict. In this on-going story installment, you get a good feel to the lengths Jalen’s discarded vampire betrothed is willing to go to in order to secure her power and position. No matter who or what gets in her way.

The emotions and physical intimacy between Nadya, Rem and Jalen is passionate and intense as these three lovers struggle to overcome years of distrust. The differences between Rem and Jalen are not as dramatic as in the two previous releases, as the brothers learn how to live, work and love the same woman. The most dramatic and unexpected twist is near the end and is one that will change the dynamics of the three-some relationship forever. It’ll be interesting to see where the story goes from here, or if Ms. Tunstall is finished with her creative look into the future of mankind.

Rookie Patrick St. James’ life has changed in a matter of months. Pat received a promotion, thanks to his work in solving a series of anti-gay murders. His love life has also increased from mundane to spectacular thanks to a budding relationship with longtime friend Dean. His fellow officer Hank Capstone has found a few new things in his life as well, specifically Shawn, a handsome clerk who has been eyeing Hank for a few months. Nevertheless, there is no time for rest as more young gay men are turning up dead. Is someone from the last case involved or is there a new culprit?

John Simpson has done it again! Task Force takes us back into the life of a more experienced Pat St. James. He is working on yet another high profile case. The story held my attention from the first chapter. With enough action, suspense, and sex to more than entertain those who enjoy a good police story. I loved watching Dean and Pat taking their relationship to the next level. Moreover, Hank really deserved to find someone to fill the void in his life. Throughout the tale, they found time for work and play. A balance needed to help them focus on the task of finding the murderer and restore a level of safety for the gay community. I am hoping there will be another installment in the works.

Prince George’s County, Maryland has become a hunting ground for a serial killer. His targets are young gay men who frequent the popular bars and parks. Patrick St. James is a rookie cop assigned to the high profile case that could make or break his career in law enforcement. The brass is astounded that he is able to work the case without flinching but Pat has an ace up his sleeve that allows him to blend in to the scene so well; Pat is a gay cop.

Pat has a great deal thrust on his shoulders with a serial killer, homophobic co-workers and a longtime friend who wants to be a permanent lover. Nevertheless, he loves his job and wouldn’t have it any other way.

John Simpson has written a fantastic story filled with intrigue, humor, sex, action and suspense. Did I mention sex? Pat is a very busy man and from his description, I understand why people are attracted to him. There is nothing better than a handsome cop who understands how to assume the position. Mr. Simpson writes Murder Most Gay from the view of a police officer, using codes and other references throughout the book. While I’ve read other police stories, this was truly a first for me and left me feeling a bit cheated from past reading experiences. I’m guessing his former career has a great deal to do with that. Between their codes and other references, I felt as if I was riding shotgun during this race to find a killer. If you haven’t read Murder Most Gay, pick up a copy. You will be happy that you did.

Jeb and Andy had been lovers but as with every relationship, they came to blows and before Jeb could fix anything Andy has disappeared with his sister. Five years later, Andy returns home and Jeb can’t keep from wanting him.

Andy still loves Jeb with all his heart, but situations at home concerning his sister had him running away. Now he’s in even more trouble and the only person that can help him is his estranged lover. With danger surrounding Andy and his sister, the only one that can rescue them is Jeb.

The initial premise of this story is very interesting; there is a lot of danger and heartache that has you feeling for Andy and his sister Sara. However I found the character of Jeb to be very uncomfortable to read at times. He’s very aggressive and I found it to be inappropriate at times. I didn’t understand Jeb at all and I think that’s what made me dislike him. However Andy and Sara’s story is very heartbreaking but also tender. Andy is such a caring character and you really feel for him. Overall, Lawless is a good premise, but I didn’t find any connection with the main heroes’ relationship at all, which was the bulk of the story. However the relationship between Andy and his sister was tender and well-written.

Joey Miller is driving down the highway when a car collision happens in front of him. Trained as a first responder, Joey immediately goes into rescue mode. When Paramedic Aaron Chase arrives on the scene, the fist thing he notices is Joey and after taking care of the accident victims, Aaron gets his chance to meet Joey and show him a different kind of paramedic attention.

Collision Course is the sequel to Diving Deep. Joey is an upbeat “people person” who recently moved to Jacksonville and started a job doing social work for the state of Florida after another failed relationship. Never one to give up, Joey continues to hope that he will find true love. Meeting Aaron confirms there’s hope for Joey and he is determined to win Aaron and have a real relationship. Aaron is not looking for a relationship; he is only interested in no-strings-attached sex but after Joey is injured, the caregiver in Aaron would not allow Joey to suffer alone. Aaron is a very private man who tried to preserve a distance by not allowing Joey to meet or intermingle with his brothers and sisters, whom he had raised after his drug addicted mother left them.

The remarkable K.A. Mitchell has produced another winner with Collision Course. The emotional plot touches your heart; I wanted to reach out and give Joey a hug and the issues are a part of reality for far too many families. The well paced story is filled with hilarious dialog and peppered with sensuous love scenes. I enjoyed this superb saga immensely.

Tyler is fed up with the rodeo life. Packing up his belongings, he tells his twin brother that he is returning home to help their father run the ranch. After the long drive home the last person he expected to see when he pulled up to the barn was Ren. Tyler has been in love with Ren since he discovered he liked men. Always thinking Ren was straight, Tyler kept his feelings to himself. Ren runs the neighboring ranch; although their parents left it to all three of their sons, Ren is the only one interested in running it. Afraid to ask Tyler out, Ren made the mistake of getting involved with JT, Tyler's twin. With Tyler home now, Ren plans to correct his mistake.

Getting an unexpected call from Ren in the middle of the night, Tyler is surprised to realize that Ren may actually want him. The two men plan on getting together at the Newsome Ranch BBQ. However, neither man knew things would turn so hot so fast. On the pretext of checking the horses, the men are barely in the barn before they are in each other’s arms. It’s not long before the men declare their feelings for each other, but then the real work starts as they try to juggle a blooming relationship with prior family obligations.

With loose ties to her "Home" series, author T.A Chase brings us another hot story in Bound by Love. Readers will enjoy meeting Ren and Tyler, as well as their troublesome brothers. While there are some elements of BDSM in the story, it is not so overwhelming that those new to that genre will shy away. Bound by Love is another great story by T.A Chase and one I would strongly recommend.

Thanks to Ty, Jack is taking his health seriously and has received a wonderful bill of health from his doctor. He now has a special reason for wanting to follow doctor’s orders. The men are enjoying their relationship and finally have things falling into place. That is until Ty is rushed to the hospital. It’s a visit no one could have imagined happening. However, with every bad event comes one with an unseen benefit. This event will open everyone’s eyes and cause a family to unite for those they love.

What a wonderful conclusion to the Breakdown series. Jack is no longer feeling like a cradle robber, but a man lucky enough to find love. Finally having a source of unconditional love in his life, Ty feels blessed and will do anything to protect his lover and their home. Watching them take on the obstacles laid in their paths shows just how strong a commitment with a strong unyielding base. And their base started out in years of friendship and earned trust. The abundance of revelations throughout this story will make your heart go out to the couple and bring them the support needed to move forward. I will miss reading their story, but I am sure Mr. Black will create another fantastic series to fill that void.

Jack and Ty are enjoying their new relationship away from Ty’s browbeating, bible thumping parents. But when Jack has a heart attack, it reminds them there are no promises for tomorrow and of their age difference. Will a trip to the ER cause the two men to rethink their newly budding relationship?

Mychael Black takes us back into the lives of Jack and Ty with Breakdown 2: Heart of the Matter. The men have had a chance to get accustomed to their new role as lovers. Jack is the happiest he has been and Ty is feeling a bit more confident with his sexuality. Watching Ty emerge from his shell and express his desires was a nice surprise for Jack. It was clear that he felt safe and secure with his new lover, and knew what they shared wasn’t evil as proclaimed by his parents. Jack and Ty’s characters are growing, and the story just keeps getting better. If you enjoyed Breakdown 1: Nowhere to Run, you will be pleasantly pleased with Breakdown 2: Heart of the Matter.

Charles Jackson Cantrell has waited forty-two years to find love. The problem is Jack has fallen for Ty Newbourne, a much younger straight man. The idea of Ty feeling more than friendship seems like a wish for the impossible. But, to Jack’s surprise, Ty proves that nothing is impossible when they share a passion-filled kiss that leaves the older man reeling. Their new situation is fragile and Ty has to come to terms with being attracted to Jack. Now, if the couple can stay clear of Ty’s family until they have time to sort out the details of their mutual desire, they might just discover a love worth protecting.

Most of my favorite gay erotic romances are set in a rural area with cowboys at play, and Breakdown 1: Nowhere to Run is no exception. Mychael Black brings love, self-awareness, acceptance and friendship in this wonderfully written story. I felt Jack’s apprehension and pain over the situation. Who really wants to be a cradle robber? But Ty demonstrated that he was a man with a grown man’s desires to boot. The characters have an easygoing relationship that will remind you of those you share with others. It was almost like watching friends working through the problem of the moment to emerge with the clear, but harder, course of action. Moreover, the one thing that is clear throughout this story is Jack’s love for Ty. He refused to move forward until he knew that Ty had the same wishes as he did. If you have enjoyed Mychael’s stories in the past, Breakdown 1: Nowhere to Run will be no exception. Hold on to your hat and boots and enjoy Ty and Jack’s story.

Officer Eric Duncan has wanted sexy Lt. Lisa Zimmer for three years, and she’s brushed him off as being too young each and every time he’s made an advance. She keeps insisting he needs to date woman in his own decade of life and that isn’t her. Knowing how she feels hasn’t stopped his wanting Lisa and he’s determined to get her any way he can, even if he has to resort to trickery to do it. His chance occurs when his thirtieth birthday rolls around and for a few short months they will be in the same decade. Eric is determined not to let Lisa walk anywhere but straight into his arms. The question is whether he can get her to stay there.

Oh Yum! 9 ½ Years is a quick and steamy short read that’s easy to enjoy in one entertaining sitting. The characters of Eric and Lisa are strong-willed, dedicated and determined to not only do a great job, but to be respected by their fellow officers. Watching these two people work through their differences was not only interesting…it was steamy hot. The story plot is realistic with putting Lisa in the position of higher rank and her uncertainty of jeopardizing it. These two might have 9 ½ years separating them in age, but in the areas that matter…respect, caring and sex, Eric and Lisa have everything needed to build a loving and lasting relationship.

Kris is a gifted photographer but he hates what the fashion world stands for. So when he does one last favor for a colleague, he expects a thorough but quick finish. Instead he meets Lane, a man he can’t get out of his head.

Lane was at the right place at the right time but when he and Kris part ways, he can’t forget the man. So when their paths cross again, they decide it may just be worth it to be together.

Secrets Given started off with a bang; the first few pages were filled with angry characters with a sense of urgency and that’s what pulled me in. However as I continued to read on, the surge of urgency wore off into confusion. Kris is the standard artistic drama queen and whilst I have no problem with that in general, I really didn’t understand his hatred of the world he had (assumingly) worked a long time in. Lane wasn’t a part of the story much; he was more of an enigma. So I couldn’t form any connection with him. Overall Secrets Given was not my cup of tea. But the first few pages held a lot of potential.

Owning and operating the Jerusalem Coffee Company is a much easier job than Todd McPhie’s previous one of minister and it’s far less stressful. It allows him the freedom of working the hours he desires, gives him the satisfaction of making his customers happy and allows him to occasionally pick up a guy for a little close personal contact. When he sees JD working in a quiet back booth, he’s instantly hooked.

JD is an overworked and under appreciated paralegal who works insanely long hours for the prestigious law firm who employees him. When he meets Todd late one Friday afternoon, its instant attraction and it doesn’t take much convincing for him to put away his huge mound of paperwork, so they can spend a few hours together playing. When he gets involved with Todd, he never expects to be blackmailed by his manager under the threat of having his sexuality or their relationship exposed.

Working Jerusalem is another sexy read by author BA Tortuga that goes from cool to blistering hot, in less than ten pages. The emotions and passion between Todd and JD is instant and it only gets hotter and more intense, the longer they are involved. Making a relationship work is never easy, especially between two guys who are so dissimilar; Todd open, easy and a little kinky, and JD, calm, quiet and conservative…who guardedly welcomes his lover’s kinks. The story is well-written, the pace fast, and the plot totally realistic. Ms. Tortuga does an awesome job in describing JD’s blackmail and the seamier side of the legal profession and gives a satisfying resolution that’s not drawn out. This steamy short tale makes for an entertaining afternoon read.

Pete is undercover and his mission involves some bad drug lords and being a prostitute. He’s a little reckless and a lot horny, unlike his contact partner Cody. Cody finds Pete sexy as hell but finds their whole situation complicated. But Pete isn’t the one to take no for an answer. So when Pete gets himself into a dangerous situation, Cody realizes how important the man really is to him.

Good Cop, Bad Cop is a fun story as opposed to a serious thriller. Pete is a cute character, he’s outgoing and fun. But as a cop I found him highly unbelievable. Cody is more shy, reserved and damn adorable, but he’s more believable as a cop. The story is very sexy with a splash of some danger here and there. But the bulk of the story remains with the two leads, and how much sex they can have. The writing is tightly constructed, however overall the story was just not for me. On the other hand I did enjoy reading Cody and his adorable dog Jeepers.

Photojournalist Austin Edmunds is a former street kid who used his skill with a camera to build a life taking the pictures he loves. He’s always been a loner and that hasn’t changed with being an adult, and the constant attempts of his friends to set him up on a date are wearing a little thin. The televised execution death of two twin brothers while they were stationed in Iraq results in a trip to the Smokey Mountains to interview their family, and to get a feel for the community where they grew up. When he arrives in the small town of Espy he meets his guide, Brack Edge, a huge bear of a man who he’s instantly attracted to.

Brack is a talented carpenter/craftsman/custom furniture maker who has clients all over the region, and he agrees to act as Austin’s guide to the area as a favor to his sister. He’s the only known gay man in his town and can’t believe his good luck in meeting Austin; it’s just too bad it was during a fistfight with a local group of homophobic rowdies. He loves his work, the people of his community and the beautiful town in which he lives. Getting involved with Austin is an expected gift he’s waited his entire life for. He’s just afraid that it might tear his heart out if they can’t work out how two dissimilar men can find a way to make a life together.

Brackets is an unusual gay romance and I don’t mean that in a bad way. In this lovely story, AKM Miles has chosen to allow our guys, Brack and Austin, to get acquainted before they jump into bed together and I find that concept a breath of fresh air. Yet, once these two men get together, watch out for fiery passion balanced with sweet tenderness and love. It’s also a tale of pain, loss and sadness as Austin learns about the two dead soldiers and their remaining family, which I’ll admit left me in tears. Add in the tale of the death of Austin’s teenage love, Howie, and you get even more tears. Sigh. And let’s not forget about the care both men exhibit to young Randy, helping him escape life with his hate filled, gay bashing family.

This well-written tale pulls on the heart-strings on many levels, and even though the ease at which Austin and Brack work out their differences might be a little unrealistic, it didn’t take away from the enjoyment of this wonderful story. It’s a truly amazing tale of letting go of the past and moving forward to the future with hope and love. Brackets is one book that I definitely intend to re-read again in the future.

She hasn’t had a man in forever, but there is one man Pagan Harper wants badly. She has been in love with her boss for two years. It’s not that she’s unattractive, just that Pagan doesn’t think she is bold enough or that James wouldn’t want someone like her. Pagan would give anything to spend one night in his arms so when the opportunity knocks, she jumps on it.

At first, James Ross didn’t cross any lines with his secretary and kept his desires in check. As time passed, it became impossible for James to deny his attraction to Pagan. Because of this unfulfilled lust, James screws things up with Pagan when she catches him on the verge of having sex in his office.

After becoming disgusted with himself, James goes to an exclusive club to try to get Pagan out of his system. There he meets a woman who is the perfect outlet for all his Pagan fantasies. But, instead of dousing his fire for her, the sexy stranger ignites it. Now James is even more confused and stimulated than before.

I love a good boss and employee love story and A Touch of Taboo certainly fits the bill. Watching these two pining for each other in silence made me want to jump into the story and lock them in a room together. I was concerned that James’ feelings were not deep enough, considering he decided to take a romp in his office with another woman, who was not Pagan. Once I had access to his feelings, I actually felt sorry for him instead of Pagan. I was shocked by the lengths that Pagan went to for a night with James, but I am glad she finally did something. Pagan had more moxie than I originally thought and I think readers will identify with her character.

Parmas City is the home to human, demons and sorcerers. With this variety comes the need of a special brand of cops who are tough, reliable and up to the challenge of fighting crimes of the supernatural kind – Hell Cops.

Next of Kin by Astrid Amara - 5 Nymphs
Jay Yervant has not had real physical contact in years. His powers can turn a gentle caress into first-degree burns. When Brian Day, a Parmas City Hospital employee touches him with no evidence of damage, Jay becomes infatuated. A sinister sorcerer has set his sights on Brian and Jay may lose his life while trying to protect his young lover.

Red Sands by Nicole Kimberling - 5 Nymphs
Anthropologist Michael Gold has returned home to find his home in shambles and his father missing. If that weren’t enough, being half-demon means facing the Hell Cops when he is framed for murder. What he doesn’t expect is to meet Detective Dion Marius Argent, a man he knows intimately. Will Argent find the culprit before Michael comes to an early demise?

Touching Sparks by Ginn Hale - 5 Nymphs
Photojournalist James Sparks has grown into a fine young man. He turns to Detective Ben Moran for help to shut down the demonic drug traffic underworld of sorcery and blood sports. His tenacity in gathering the needed data is a pleasant surprise for Moran. However, the feelings he is harboring for James take him more by storm. Will Moran admit his feelings before it is too late?

Hell Cop is a collection of wonderfully written stories about dominant men and the men who showed them the way to love and ecstasy. Each story brings its own spin of the life of a Hell Cop. Each character is strong, fierce, smart and great at his job. I loved the fact that each of the Hell Cops had his own unique ability. In addition, the stories are linked as the characters flow in and out of the stories, even if just shortly. I truly hope there is a Hell Cop sequel in the makings. Moreover, I have to admit Touching Sparks will remain with me for a while, just because of the bunny suit alone. There is not a dull moment in this anthology.

New York has been hit with a number of murders that has the police and the FBI stumped. But when two FBI agents get killed in the process of the investigation, the FBI sends in two of their agents to crack the case.

Special Agent Ty Grady, a former Marine and now agent, is pulled into the case alongside Special Agent Zane Garret, who has been ‘promoted’ from his previous job. But when both men meet each other, it’s hate on first sight. Both men try to bear with each other, whilst the killer plays games and tries to kill them. But in between all the destruction around them, both men come together in a surprising move. But will their tender relationship harm them in the long run and who is this killer who seems to know their every step so well?

Wow.

This is one story you can really get in. I devoured this book in two days. The story is so suspenseful and thrilling that you literally need to catch your breath. The prose is tight, finely constructed and well executed. The mystery is well concealed and the investigation process is written in so much detail that it feels like you’re actually there. The plot and the setting were well done and I highly appreciate the realistic nature of the surroundings in this book.

The characters were just phenomenal, tortured and beaten and not the cliché standards, either. Ty and Zane were so heartbreakingly beautiful and so realistic that these two will go down as two of the most fascinating characters written in this genre.

This is an emotional story about broken pasts and uncertain futures. But Cut & Run is a story that must be read. You will get emotionally invested in this thrilling adventure, and I swear you’ll want to see this on the big screen, because I surely do. An amazing story that had me on the first page.

It is finally closing time at the Glass Slipper Shoe Store. Cyn Elder is bone tired and looking forward to a hot shower then going to bed, but her plans change when one of her drag queen friends has a shoe emergency. After purchasing a new pair, he talked Cyn into going to the opening of a new club. Club co-owner Parker Maguire is having a boring night until he noticed Cyn in a debate with his bouncer, Parker invites Cyn to the VIP room. Spending hours talking, Parker finds Cyn a breath of fresh air, Cyn is not impressed with Parker’s celebrity status or his wealth, but very interested in the man; Parker has found a genuine woman and pursues her with a vengeance.

Head Over Heels: A Cinderella Story is a hilarious and more colorful version of the fairy tale, complete with the evil want-to-be stepmother and her two lazy vindictive daughters and a cheeky fairy drag queen who rides to the rescue. Cyn is a responsible person who works hard sustaining the family store, but Parker is a man Cyn cannot resist. Parker had given up on finding a woman who saw something other than dollar signs until he met Cyn. Lena Matthews has created a fairy tale with a well written plot, exhilarating characters and an extremely tantalizing love story.

When you speak an oath in the name of the Gods, you are to honor that oath even if it means your son must marry another man. Alasson and Suryo weren’t present when the promise was made but they are expected to fulfill the obligation. One pledge will change these two men’s lives forever.

From This Night takes us into the lives of Alasson and Suryo. Suryo knew of the expectations of his father but Alasson had no inclination as to the promises made by their fathers. My heart went out to Suryo. It seemed those who should have loved him above all others failed him miserably. And his father made me so glad for the one I have. He didn’t seem to care about his son but about profit of his company. I understand they have a strong faith in their Gods, but I’m unsure if I could have put the happiness of my child on the back burner. In addition, I won’t even start to discuss Suryo’s sister who I whole-heartedly feel got the life she deserved.

L.E. Bryce has done an incredible job with this story. The setting, characters, and plot are magnificently detailed. Now if you are looking for a boys meet, boys fall in love, and boys live happily ever after, you need to bypass this story. However, if you want a tale that will draw you in, have you weeping tears for the characters, and keep you spellbound until the final sentence, then From This Night is just the ticket.

Australia is at war or not depending on whom you talk with. For Dan, a former soldier, that meant he is kept busy fostering children left behind by the conflict. With supplies from the Red Cross, as well as items scrounged from the black market and other means, Dan is able to care for the children until other arrangements can be made. Little does he realize that his next charge will bring about more than one change to his life.

After his cousin’s death, Sid is sent by his family to collect his niece. It soon becomes clear to Dan that the man who showed up at his font door on a motorcycle knows nothing about caring for a baby. When even the simplest act of changing a diaper causes comical reactions from Sid, Dan knows he has to go with him. Their first task though is to get rid of Sid’s bike since there is no way Dan or the baby will be crossing a large expanse of mined desert on the back. As the city is being bombed, the two men load up Dan’s vehicle, grab the baby and run. While on the road, Dan learns more about Sid than he ever thought. Trying to outrun a military helicopter determined to keep them from leaving the city, Sid performs an act of magic that brings the ‘copter down. To Dan’s surprise, Sid explains that, with the aid of donated body fluids, he is able to manipulate electromagnetism. Unfortunately, other magical individuals, not all of whom are friendly, can feel the power Sid has been using lately. Soon the men are running from not only angry enemy invaders but also some very unfriendly magicians as well.

Laney Cairo’s Running the Nullarbor is a truly engaging story. The magically insecure Sid is perfect for the injured ex-military Dan. The passion between them grows as they encounter many obstacles while taking the baby safely to her family. Soon neither can imagine being without the other. I cannot wait for the next installment to this series. Running the Nullarbor is a definite must read.

Luzien Bascombe is discovering just how cold winters are in New York. Walking in a snowstorm in God only knows where does not bring on thoughts of living to a ripe old age. However, his survival instincts lead him to an angel among men. They lead to Win.

Winston St. James never expected to find a stranger on his doorstep. Especially not an attractive almost frozen stranger, who has the ability to make him want love and a future filled with bliss. Nevertheless, that is just what Win gains in helping Luz. Who says Mother Nature doesn’t know how to be a matchmaker?

There are only winners in TC Blue’s Win and Lose. Win and Luz are both lonely men, who deserve a partner who will appreciate the love they are capable of giving. Hearing Luz’s past made me a bit sad for him, but knowing that Win was there to comfort his lover made it not so shocking. I was disappointed in the two of them for not having the balls to voice how they felt in the first place. It was more than apparent there was a connection that had nothing to do with bed play. I loved the snowy setting and the confined area filled with heat. There is nothing like staying close to stay warm. If you enjoy love stories in a winter’s wonderland, then you will enjoy Win and Lose.

Nicole only wants to love Leos and Daniel while creating her art for exhibits. When she and Daniel determinedly go about seducing Leos because of his stubborn nature, things take a turn to the darker side of him. With their link to each other’s mind, they now know how much love they have together.

Daniel and Leos are twins with the latter being of the more dominant one and the one who will introduce Nicole to the darker side further in their blossoming relationship. Now that Leos has accepted the fact that he was not responsible for the deaths of others, he can now love her as he’s supposed to from the past love they shared.

Dark Dichotomy 3: Mischief was just as incredible as the first two books and I did not want them to end. After thinking that the brothers had finally defeated their immediate enemies, they only find out that there was more to fear. Each set of twins enhance the other and their personalities are so different that it would have been very hard to choose between them. Aubrey Ross has created a fabulous series worth reading and I highly recommend these books to those looking for an escape from the normal.

Lark Emery is looking for her niece, whom she has not heard from in three weeks, and is very worried for her. When she encounters her niece’s boss, she does not trust him but is compelled by guilt to accept his help. When she meets Evan at an art gallery party, she tries to seduce him so he will take her home with him so she can find out any information about her niece.

Joseph reached out to Lark on a metaphysical plane to comfort her from their enemy’s controlling of her. Evan, who is his nocturnal twin, is determined to find out what Lark really wants and her purpose for trying to persuade him to take advantage of her. The twins know she is their soul mate and will do whatever it takes to convince her to accept their proposal.

Dark Dichotomy 2: Mistress was just as intriguing as the first book and leading up to big trouble for the brothers. These characters are very interesting with their counterparts coming and going all the time along with supporting their mate is very touching. Congratulations to Aubrey Ross for writing a story of finding love and revenge that is leading up to something more dangerous for the Burton Brothers and the Council. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Kendra Lawrence has an appointment with her future and she does not even realize it yet. From the very beginning, upon seeing Torral, the attraction began for her while the whole time she desperately tried to suppress her feelings for him. After being told so much about Ryan and Torral, she still has a hard time believing until she actually sees them transition from day to night.

Ryan and Torral will do whatever it takes to have Kendra for their soul mate, which cause them to become forceful. Know that their enemy is presenting a danger for her has them acting faster than they normally would. Each twin was able to spend time with her to help her accept the fact of being a permanent mate with them until death.

Dark Dichotomy 1: Misbehaving was fabulous and very different from other books I have read. There was a lot of mystery going on with their enemy rival, who is trying to exact a revenge for his family honor. I was very impressed by Aubrey Ross for writing such an intriguing story of domination and submission of partners with emotions that ran very high.

Chen Jin Tai is preparing for his commitment ceremony with his lover David Anderson. Their perfectly blissful celebration is about to hit some serious turbulence – Tai’s mother is coming to the wedding. While he is optimistic of her desire to accept his lifestyle, David knows the Ice Queen is only showing up to cause trouble. The disturbance caused by the little spitfire has the couple realizing that there are important discussions that never came up in the course of their relationship. Is there a way to create a winning outcome for them all?

Shayla Kersten shows us just the kind of mother who makes your spouse require bail money in Double Happiness. Tai has missed the close relationship with his mother since he decided to come out. While he has had years to accept his sexuality, his mother was in the dark until he fell in love two years prior. David would do anything keep Tai happy. The man deserved a Congressional Medal for dealing with the overbearing woman. I found myself wishing it was a WWF tag team match and David could slap my hand to bring me in the ring. Wow, she was quite a piece of work! And to think, all of this drama could have been squashed two years ago with just a few well placed words. Nevertheless, I will admit her antagonizing David definitely brought some entertainment into this story. If you want to see a man earn the person he loves by fighting the good fight, then you will enjoy Double Happiness.

J.D. has come to his parents’ summer cabin for three weeks. He needs some time to relax and unwind but when he gets pulled over by a cop, things are about to get a whole lot more complicated. Russell Seavers was just doing his job when he approached J.D.’s car, but he got a lot more than he bargained for.

When the story started, I was a little jarred; the interaction between the two main leads was a little too fast for my taste. However as the story progressed, it fleshed out quite well. The story is filled with raunchy sex scenes between two very likeable characters. I went into this book thinking it be a short summer fling, that would have a very open ending. What I got was two characters wanting each other to two characters needing each other. The author did a good job with this story; my only problems lay with how the story started and how it ended as I found the conclusion a tad too rushed and clinical. However Summer Fever packs more punch than you would assume.

After Shilo discovers that his lover, Chandler, has been unfaithful, he takes his money, cat and belongings and moves from Arizona to Wisconsin to start his life over. He hopes that the new location will allow him to rest, recuperate and heal from his painful ordeal. In a short time he not only has a new home, friends and job, but also a new love, when he accidentally meets Officer Jeffrey Layton. Despite their intense mutual attraction, each man carries enough emotional baggage to sink any relationship. Shilo is still recovering from the pain of Chandler’s betrayal, and Jeffrey lost his partner of five years to inoperable cancer.

To make matters worse, Jeffrey is still deeply in the closet and scared of exposure…scared of what his family and fellow police officers will say. These two damaged men must learn to trust that their love was meant to be, and they have to do it in a town not particularly gay friendly. On top of everything else, there’s also a killer on the loose who brutally murdered a young gay man, and Jeffrey’s determined to find the person responsible before he or she kills again.

The Color of Love and Autumn is a warm, tender and fun ride of emotional healing and the promise of love. Unlike most other gay contemporary romances which lean heavily on the physical aspects of a relationship, this one instead focuses on the emotional connection between Shilo and Jeffrey. It’s a tale of change and growth; Shilo moving from town newcomer, to heavily involved committed citizen. And let’s not forget Jeffrey, who’s afraid to love again, his loyalty to his deceased partner compelling, heart-wrenching and unhealthy. I enjoyed the interaction between these two likable men, but it was often painful to watch as they struggled to throw off the baggage that was holding them captive to the past. The quirky secondary characters made this story shine, giving it a unique and interesting twist which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Jesse McCray is a member of the Rustlers, an outlaw gang that enjoys stealing from the local cattle baron. Ethan Phillips is a greenhorn on his way to California. When his horse comes up lame, Ethan is forced to stay in Defiance. Hoping to make a few dollars, he stops at the local saloon to see if he can get a job singing. Jesse, who along with the rest of the gang, is also at the saloon takes an instant liking to the talented greenhorn. While the two men spend their time together, the rest of the gang is causing mischief in town. Unfortunately, for Jesse and Ethan the results of the gang’s mischief may end up keeping these two apart forever.

J.M Snyder’s Wanted is a short story that really pays off. While the outcome of the men’s story is predictable, J.M leaves the final ending up to the reader’s imagination. This story would make a great series beginning, centered on the adventures of Jesse and Ethan.

Trex was a woman who lived alone, had a top-secret career, and a top-secret love for her best friend since childhood. She also had a top-secret fantasy about two men with their hands in all the right places.

Jake and Dan are partners in a business that specializes in solving child abductions. Their business is put on hold when their “specialties” land them in some trouble with the FBI.

Hiding out in the only safe place they know, Trex and her guests are put through a whirlwind of a good time. However, are these the two men of her fantasies?

Ms. Damschroder wrote an intriguing tale of suspense and mystery. The tale of the love triangle could have captured me a little more. Being led to believe that there would be a threesome with two gorgeous guys and a willing female left me highly disappointed when it didn’t happen. The story was great and kept me on edge, but I wish my monitor had glowed fiery red instead of ice blue.

Being caught in the act of stealing jewels from The Raven, Duncan of Ravenswood, has Marcus of Leeds knee deep in trouble. The Raven doesn’t believe in mercy, but gives Marcus an option – fifty lashes or a month serving as his leman. He is shocked with the discovery of Marcus in his bedchamber. However, what rattles his brain even more is his overall reaction to the handsome thief. The Raven had no inclination that his desire for Marcus would lead to the one person who could steal his most precious jewel of all. Marcus has the power to possess the Raven’s heart.

Alvania Scarborough brings us a regency love story in Thief's Punishment. The tale began on a wonderful note for me. There is nothing like a good one-liner to grab your attention. There were moments when I felt a tad sorry for Marcus, until I remembered how he got into his predicament. The Raven is a character who reminds me of why I don’t break the law. He is powerful and controlling. In addition, if you like some BSDM incorporated in your regency stories, there are a few scenes that will grab your attention. It was hard putting this book down. The characters, setting, plot, and lovemaking made the story entertaining and a joy to read. This was my introduction to Alvania Scarborough and I’m looking forward to reading more of her delightful stories.
