Tyler’s life is slowly spinning out of control. The former Navy Seal, and now Narcotics Detective, has never played by the book and with an enemy from his past trying to harm his loved ones, things are not about to change.

From the very first page, Mortal Enemies is nonstop action and adventure. The author pulled me into the story with her descriptive abilities and left me wanting to see the many car chases, shoot-outs and the other various action scenes on the big screen. The story is thick with suspense and will leaving you sitting on the edge of your seat. The mystery surrounding Tyler’s past, and the identity of the department’s leak, will keep you reading till the last page.

All the relationships in this story are already very well established, giving the reader a tightly knit family to follow. It is easy to see the love that Tyler and Ryan have for each other. When Tyler’s secrets start coming out, Ryan’s reactions are believable as is his ongoing love for his boyfriend. The bond between Tyler and his partner, Tommy, is one that started in the Seals and continues as they work together in the LAPD.

This story had me laughing and crying and is one of the top ten in my all-time favorites file. I hated to see Mortal Enemies end but was glad when the author let me know that she had more in store for these guys.

Trystan Raines understands that life as a prostitute has no room for love or romance. To have people recognize him as a relevant human being seems wishful thinking, at times. But even with that reality, Trystan hasn’t allowed life to harden him. Now homeless, Trystan needs his circumstances to turn around and he’s presented with an offer that seems too good to be true. One month as a personal escort can net him a one million dollars and a chance for a better life.

Uriskel is used to the harsh treatment doled out to him over the years. Being punished has become second nature and his strength knows no bounds. His latest assignment is to serve as bodyguard to Prince Braelan, his half-brother. But that’s not news Uriskel would willingly relinquish to anyone he doesn’t trust. Revealing their shared parentage guarantees a long and painful penalty that ends in death. And while Uriskel struggles to bear the pain of each new punishment, he will have to fight his overwhelming desire for Trystan.

S.W. Vaughn’s second release of the Urban Fae series, Heartsong, brings back two characters I learned to hate and then love from the first story Skin Deep. Trystan and Uriskel both had rough lives and used the painful events to gain strength and determination. Their attraction was fought valiantly, but the battle to remain uncaring was lost in that first moment their eyes met. The connection grew from that point and created a snowball affect for the rest of the story. Heartsong has all the elements you look for in a great story. The compelling characters, well written plot, blood pumping erotic scenes, dose of action and suspense kept me in the story’s grasp until the final sentence. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story and hope that Prince Braelan gains a chance at love in his own tale. Fantastic job, S.W. Vaughn!

Davie Kenton is in the woods looking for a place to sleep when he smells the enticing aroma coming from Brad Nierstrom’s camp fire. Davie is a drifter and is walking to the next town, in hopes of finding work. Brad is a cop with his job currently hanging in the balance. Together they share a meal, along with their personal burdens. After that night, Davie and Brad become friends, a year later they become lovers.

The Cop And The Drifter is a well-written compassionate story of two men gaining, as well as giving, support to each other. The developed characters are emotionally appealing. The storyline features realistic life circumstances. The intimate scene is sensual. Davies’s background would instill bitterness in most people, yet Davie has a positive outlook on life; he is honest and intelligent. Davie feels an immediate fondness for Brad. He accepts friendship and is willing to wait for the next step. Brad is trying to recover from personal loss. However, he enjoys spending time with Davie. It is Davie who inspires Brad to move forward with his life.

Christiane France has created a wonderful story that demonstrates Davie and Brad building a friendship as the foundation needed to allow a lasting love to grow. I thoroughly enjoyed this impressive, as well as heartwarming, saga.

Recently dumped and now unemployed, Conrad applies for, and is accepted. to take part in a reality show. He has no idea what the show is going to be about, even after the intense questionnaire. When Conrad meets the other five men who will be on the show with him, he begins to wonder just what he’s gotten himself into.

Got Men? is a play on the various reality shows on television today. The premise behind the show is simple, but also very destructive. Six single gay men are placed in a home that is totally wired for sound, as well as cameras, in hopes that the men, all deeply in the closet, will out themselves in front of the whole world. Unfortunately for the men, they don’t know that.

The author has the ability to pull her readers in, from the beginning, and as each of the six men are introduced, you can’t help but pick your favorites. While the main characters in Got Men? are Conrad and Sonny, each of the remaining men also played strong roles. The reader will find this story full of light hearted moments, as well as unbelievably tough ones. There were many times when I wanted to clobber the producers of this show for their callous disregard for the men’s lives. Yes, I know this is just a fictional story but the producers irked me that much. A few characters from past stories, pop their heads in to say hi in ways that left the men hot and bothered and are sure to leave the reader chuckling.

Like many of G. A. Hauser’s stories this is one I will read again.

Months after escaping imprisonment and torture by the evil Dr. Bennett, dragon shape-shifter Ricardo Gianetti often wakes in a cold sweat, except when it happens this time, it’s because he’s telepathically contacted a woman in trouble. Initially he isn’t even certain whether she’s real or just a remnant of a bad dream until he contacts his older brother Sandro, who recognizes Ricardo’s description as his missing bodyguard, Kristen.

Kristen might be in serious trouble but she isn’t a pushover and uses her skill to get free of her captors. Ricardo locates her huddled naked in a New York City street. She’s tired, hungry, scared, injured and the drugs that have been pumped into her system won’t allow her to shape-shift into her dragon form, in order to heal her injuries.

From the first moment they meet, need sparks between Kristen and Ricardo, igniting a passion he never thought to experience and one she’d run from if she could. Together they and the other members of STORM must find Dr. Bennett and his lab, before he can use his latest captive to put his true plans into effect

Red Inferno is the forth release in Lynne Connolly’s ongoing shape-shifter series Ecstasy in Red. It’s another fast-paced, action-packed shape-shifter paranormal with intense, passionate and sexy main characters in Kristen and Ricardo. They are both private individuals with painful pasts and Ms. Connolly does a nice job expressing the emotional and physical hurts that sculpted them into the dynamic, complicated and interesting people they turned into. The intensity of feelings between Kristen and Ricardo only grows stronger the longer they are together, despite the roadblocks Kristen throws in the way. Still Ricardo perseveres, determined to win over the woman who’s coming to mean the world to him.

It was nice seeing the characters introduced in the previous releases and Ms. Connolly did a nice job integrating them into the plot. They might play small roles but as part of the STORM team, it’s a vital one in attempting to capture Dr. Bennett. The secondary character that really stood out for me was Andros. This young man is intelligent, determined and interesting and I hope to see more of him in the next book in the series, which I believe is titled Emotion in Motion, featuring jaguar shifter Jack.

Never let it be said that a Trammel can’t stand on his own two feet. That’s the message Greyson, Grey to his friends, hopes he is delivering to his family. He wants to live life on his own terms and finds himself in Alaska to begin his career as a sports-and-feature writer. Grey recognizes musher Dylan Norgard as a way to make his dream a reality. However, a few bad decisions could end his career and shorten his life expectancy.

Dylan is a loner and has no room for anything but racing and his dogs in his life. Healing has been a slow process, but the love of his dogs has given him a strong foundation to begin a new life. He recognizes Grey for the greenhorn he is and while he has reconciled himself to stay away, fate has other plans!

I’ll be the first to admit that I know very little about the world of dog racing, but I know a story that is written with heart and draws me in when I read one. Love Is Snowblind is just that type of story. Grey has grit! While he makes mistakes, he’s man enough to not make excuses and is willing to rectify problems, regardless of what it takes. Dylan is gruff, but even he cannot deny what type of man Grey is. His shell isn’t hard enough to allow his heart to escape the inevitable. They are a perfect mixture of sweetness and salt, like an erotic PayDay candy bar ready for me to unwrap and devour.

There was no aspect of this story that I didn’t enjoy. The harsh beauty of the landscape took my breath away while the secondary characters charming personalities stole a piece of my heart. Deirdre O'Dare has added yet another wonderful story to the Canine Cupids series.

Gavin Yamea is taking a break on the terrace at work when he hears the voice of a man, explaining how to read the signs of fate. Curious, Gavin leans over the railing for a better view of the speaker. At the same time, Ford Tremaine looks up to see Gavin. Ford immediately believes it is destiny that brought the two together. However, Gavin does not believe in fate and succeeded in avoiding Ford for several days before Ford tracks him down.

Because It's True is a sweet romance with interesting characters. The plot is well written and the intimate scenes are sensual. The setting is a US city somewhat close to the Canadian border. Ford is an overly enthusiastic gentle giant. Ford declares Gavin is the man he will marry upon the first sight of him. Ford’s relentless pursuit of Gavin is reminiscent of stalking. I get the impression that Ford’s reading of signs is more the wishful thinking of a lonely man. Ford’s size intimidates people; however, his gentle nature soothes Gavin. When Gavin finally concedes to Ford’s proposal, it is Ford who gets cold feet and tries to run away. Gavin is very shy. His past heartbreak with a former fiancé has left Gavin leery of men claiming faith in signs. However, once he accepts his feelings for Ford, as well as the possible future they can share, he is determined that he and Ford will marry. Willa Okati has created an enjoyable love story with a hint of kismet included.

Amaranth begins to wonder if there isn’t more to life than what he has always been taught. While on his way home one night, he comes across a young man in need of help and is surprised by how much Ash helps him in return.

With Amaranth & Ash, Jessica Freely has written a very interesting story set in a world where a person’s social standing is everything. Unlike most instances where a society’s class is broken down by how much or how little money a person has, here it is your soul that’s important. This plays a big part in Amaranth and Ash’s story.

As a vasai, Amaranth has the souls, as well as the attributes of both a male and a female. Because of this, the vasai have special healing powers that are used only for the upper class. The author is able to bring across just how dissatisfied Amaranth feels at only being allowed to heal the Elai and his confusion in regard to all he has been taught about the Pelon and Chelon class.

Ash, on the other hand is a Chelon, the lowest of the classes and believed to be soulless. His life has not been an easy one and the struggle he faces is sure to cause a few tears. As the story progresses and both men come to terms with the lies their elders have told them, their love and need for each other becomes clear.

While the men’s journey was entertaining and I could not wait to see how the author would tie everything up, at times, the variety of pronouns used for the vasai became a little confusing. However, that did not keep me from enjoying this story and I am sure others will find it just as entertaining.

Ian’s ready to walk on the wild side, or at least, take a leisurely stroll. What better way to add some spice to his life than by going to Gomorrah, a club known to be wilder than wild. Surely it can’t live up to the hype, right?

Being a bouncer at Gomorrah has its privileges, like being the first to see the club’s fresh meat, and Ian is the catch of the day. Nick is drawn to Ian and decides to protect the younger man, but things don’t go as smoothly as Nick had hoped.

Bonded is the first story of Elizabeth Jewell new series Gomorrah. Ian doesn’t have a great deal of experience with the supernatural. Nick’s a good vampire with his heart in the right place. Together they make an interesting couple. There are a few tense moments but nothing they can’t overcome.

I’m looking forward to watching their relationship grow over the next installments. Bonded is a mixture of suspense, interesting characters and steamy sex. Ms. Jewell has laid a great foundation for what should be a series you won’t soon forget.

The country is in the midst of the Depression and life isn’t easy for anyone - including Joan Fuller - who once lived in a world of wealth and privilege. When she rejects the attentions of a wealthy textile heir, Joan’s turned into a werewolf against her will and is forced into his pack. Being strong-willed means a continual battle to protect those pack members unable to defend themselves and in doing so, Joan is at odds with the Alpha men who rule them. It also means Joan’s willing to do whatever she must to protect those weaker than herself and is willing to join forces with a vampire and a witch to do it.

Former bootlegger Seamus Whelan and his men are building a place of safety on the tiny, and remote, Breckenridge Island but when his old friend Gavin calls asking for help moving some endangered female werewolves, he can’t say no. Under normal circumstances, the job would be easy but ex-debutante Joan is powerful and her wolf calls to, and challenges, Seamus as no other woman ever has. Then there’s the little problem of the powerful man who’s determined to get her back, no matter the cost.

A Safe Harbor is the first release in the new series Building Sanctuary by Moira Rogers. It takes place decades before the Red Rock Pass series and is set during the years of the great Depression. Both Seamus and Joan are strong Alpha wolves and Ms. Rogers did a very nice job showing their distinctive personalities and strengths. Background-wise, they couldn’t have been more different but the storyline allowed a realistic and believable reason for them to be together, allowing their attraction to grow and mature. And while I liked Seamus and would love to know more about his bootlegging past, I’d love to know about Joan’s family history even more. Both characters are strong but I found Joan particularly compelling and instead of coming across as bossy and domineering, the writing allowed her protective and caring side to shine through.

The overall plot is handled nicely, giving a good feel for the desperation the Depression put upon most of the country. The secondary characters are believable and interjected at just the right point to provide Seamus and Joan the support they need as the plot moves smoothly forward and that includes individuals already brought to light in the Red Rock Pass series. What I was disappointed in was the lack of adequate descriptions—the historical details that should have shown the reader the era in which the story look place. Yes, a few details of the Depression was discussed but distinctive tidbits of information regarding the clothes, furniture, vehicles and other facts of the time period were lacking.

I’m very curious as to what the authors have planned for these two dynamic characters and the wolves under their care. The next release in the series Undertow is scheduled for eBook publication in October 2010.

Meredith, an older woman unhappy with her marriage and her job as a realtor, has resorted to calling a telephone sex line for temporary relief of her sexual frustration. For a better life, Meredith knows she needs to make some changes but doesn’t know where to start. Her main focus is on getting an old mansion sold as soon as possible and the local media’s constant reminder of the death in the house is only making it more difficult.

At present, Meredith’s biggest problem is her sex-addicted husband and his perverted and bizarre demands. She finds herself unsatisfied by him and finally starts to seek pleasure in younger men. When she is confronted by one of her lovers, who wants more from her even though he knows she is married, things take a turn for the worst. When Meredith finds herself being kidnapped, she realizes that she should have done more to discourage the unwanted attention and been more careful in achieving her own needs.

What Are You Wearing? is a bizarre story of women who are sex-starved or never had a clear understanding of what making love was about. These women find themselves in situations brought on by their own making, and some of the scenes described were a little too much for me. When Meredith’s husband is making his demands of her, I could only think…damn. Did he really think she would keep doing what he wanted after twenty years of marriage and never say NO to him? I was very proud of her after the last episode of being forced to have sex and the threat to harm her, if she didn’t cooperate.

This definitely went down the path of sexual abuse and while Ms. Blair expressed a very descriptive behavior of how people can become obsessed with sex, it was rather unsettling, to put it mildly. There really was no plot, other than the young man’s belief that Meredith belonged to him and the kooks who were persistent in buying the house. If you are looking for a lot of phone sex or abuse sex, this is the book for you.

Nick Price thought he had seen it all during his time as a CIA agent but his latest mission has him questioning his boss’ sanity. What’s worse, Nick knows he can’t complain to his superiors. It would get him laughed out of the agency as who ever heard of chasing an absconded agent, who’s actually a werewolf in disguise? Still, Nick doesn’t need to believe in fairy tales to do a good job. He’ll find the agent, bring him in and then get the hell away from the whole sorry escapade. Or at least, that was the plan before he met Melody Gray, local private investigator who has just the information Nick needs.

When Melody and Nick meet, you can cut the tension with a knife. Nick’s gut knows she’s not telling him everything and Melody can tell he isn’t going to walk away without a fight. Nick’s going to find out pretty soon that she is more than willing to fight to protect her brother from becoming a science project for the Government. Yes, she will fight if pushed into a corner but when her wolf soul roars to life at the smell of her mate, Melody has a rough and tumble of another kind in mind. Never has her wolf and human parts fought so hard for control before. She can’t possibly mate with a human, especially one who’s hunting her littermate, can she? When Nick is hurt, Melody makes a rash decision that ends up having dangerous consequences and leads them on a path neither one of them could have predicted. It seems Melody isn’t the only one with powers beyond mere mortals…

Undercover Heat has a plot that twists and turns wonderfully. I was kept on my toes the entire time, trying to figure out what was happening with Nick, if Melody could control herself in such an unpredictable situation and just what does happen when werewolf and voodoo mix. This is book five of the author’s Heat series and once again, there are wonderfully strong, more often than not, pig-headed characters who welcome you into their story with open arms. I adore the entire Gray family and enjoyed reading Melody’s story a great deal. I could just feel her frustration at finding out she was supposed to mate with the enemy and I shared her pain at wondering what else could possibly happen to her family after this. The introduction of voodoo mythology was a surprise to me but I can tell the author has a lot of passion for the subject matter; passion that is evident in the vivid descriptions and detailed writing. I love getting lost in the Gray world of who is mated to whom and what everybody is getting up to. I especially loved the family get together at the end as it has been long overdue. One thing is for sure, I cannot wait for Brendan Gray’s story!

It’s hard not to admire Jessye’s strength and beauty, but that doesn’t mean Syrus isn’t driven to distraction by his consort. Jessye yields to no man. Centuries old, she has built walls around her heart; however, Syrus is more than capable of scaling them. Syrus is ready to claim her and refuses to allow Jessye to run any longer.

Hopes to revenge his murdered family and help his clan claim equality and representation weighs heavily on Syrus’ shoulders. Will Jessye take pity and acquiesce to make his life easier?

Selena Illyria heats up the pages with her latest release in the Blood Claim series Tainted. Between the action, suspense and charming secondary characters, I was captivated from the first page. Jessye is just the type of woman Syrus needs. Hard as nails, willing to protect those she loves and strong enough to take him on in the bedroom. Syrus is just the right mixture of brawn and brilliance to figure out what his mate needs and how to protect the clan he loves.

I loved their version of “chase” and needed a cold drink when Syrus finally took of the gloves to claim his mate. It was nice to see the two finally share the secrets that could have destroyed their connection later on. The trust those acts demonstrated told me there are good things on the horizon for Syrus and Jessye.

The action scenes are well written and contain just enough gore to appease my blood thirsty side. Overall I found Tainted enthralling and I’m adding it to my collection of books to revisit in the future.

It hasn’t been easy moving into a new community and starting a new business but with the assistance of their friends, Matt and Jared, lovers Zach and Angelo are managing just fine. Life is good, their video business is growing, and the once shaky relationship of Zach and Angelo is becoming more solid with each passing day. Problems arise when the couple makes a decision at a New Year’s Eve party that Jared doesn’t understand and doesn’t agree with, putting Angelo at odds with his lover’s best friend and straining his friendship with Matt, Jared’s partner.

A spur of the moment decision has the two couples making a quick trip to Las Vegas and just when the uneasy feelings between Jared and Angelo are being put aside, they run into Zach’s ex-boyfriend, Jonathan. It’s obvious from their first meeting that Jonathan wants Zach back in his life and seeing the two men together causes Angelo to doubt, not his love for Zach, but whether he’s good enough to be Zach’s life partner. Matt and Jared might have been able to help in almost every other problem in the lives of Angelo and Zach since moving to Coda but in this case, their feelings and opinions might cause more harm than good.

The Letter Z by Marie Sexton takes place in Colorado and follows the lives, loves and friendships of two couples who readers met in the previous releases of Promises and A to Z. To avoid confusion and thus dissatisfaction with the story, I recommend they be read in the order written. Just an FYI-while Jared and Matt play a vital role in this newest release, they are not the focus.

The story is a good continuation of the love between Zach and Angelo. It’s fast paced, with a good plot flow and deals with the differences between couples in a realistic, believable manner. Ms. Sexton also deals nicely with Angelo’s insecurities—his feelings that he doesn’t deserve a man like Zach for his partner. The other thing I really enjoyed about this story was the vivid descriptions of Las Vegas. As a person who has never set foot in the town, the details pulled me into the city, allowing me to see it ‘for the first time’ through Angelo’s wondering eyes.

Lovers Zach and Angelo are so different in every way that sometimes it’s difficult to believe they got together in the first place, much less stayed together. Yet they have, and in this release you get to see how their love has grown and changed. In the first pages of the story, an event happens that doesn’t threaten Angelo and Zach’s relationship but it does throw a wrench in the smooth flowing way all members of the two couples deal with each other. I can honestly say that when this New Year’s Eve event comes to light, I wasn’t just surprised; I was shocked, never expecting what occurred or Zach’s ready acceptance. And while I might not have liked it, Ms. Sexton did a nice job expressing the differences between couples and what one would find acceptable that another one wouldn’t. In the end, Angelo and Zach’s relationship came out stronger than before and the realization that they were both what the other needed was handled very nicely. I’m not saying that Angelo and Zach have found their rock solid happily-ever-after, but they’re getting close and I can’t wait to see what adventures Ms. Sexton creates for the guys from Coda.

Janice is an assassin and a very strong telepath. She is on Delroi to gather intelligence when she meets Falkor Trace. When she returns to earth, Falkor follows.

Falkor knows she is his mate and is trying to be patient, waiting for her to trust him, and accept the idea he is not going away, no matter how bad she thinks she is.

In the fourth installment of the Delroi Chronicles, Claiming Earth is more intense and mysterious, as different elements about both Earth’s society and Delroi’s society start to make themselves known. Falkor is used to protecting women, but knows he is not going to make Janice change if she is going to be happy with him. The chemistry between Janice and Falkor is enough to melt ice. Ms. Hunt added some new characters along with some new twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Yes, you need to read the series in order, but it will worth it.

Tom Ford decides to take a tour of Welleby Farm, located in California. The farm is property he recently inherited the controlling interest in. To Tom’s surprise, the farm is a thriving four thousand acre business and much to Tom’s delight, the overseer Nate Stokes is very interested in getting better acquainted with Tom.

Down on the Farm is a charming well-written romance. The characters are appealing, as well as heartwarming. Tom owns an investment firm. He works long hours and has little time for a social life. Tom dreams of someday meeting that special someone to share a relationship with. He lives in Seattle; nevertheless, he loves the quiet of the country. Within a week, Tom has decided he is in love with Nate, in addition to intending to move to the farm on a permanent basis. Nate has degrees in agriculture and farm management. He has been working at the farm for ten years. Nate also desires a long-term relationship. After making love several times, Nate believes he has found his soul mate in Tom.

Stone Richard’s Down on the Farm is a enjoyable saga of two hard-working, lonely men whose dreams of finding love finally comes true.

Mercenary Karl Blake’s world changed a few months ago when he took a bullet to the thigh. He’s gone from a life filled with rescuing kidnapped diplomats, killing bad guys, absconding with stolen treasures to fund his bank account and doing dirty jobs for the government to spending his time lounging around his new in-ground pool. If there’s one thing he’s discovered, it’s overtaxing his leg hurts more than he likes to let on and he’s really bored sitting around without anything constructive to do. He finds himself unexpectedly attracted to Adam, the shy young man recently hired to do the landscape maintenance on his property. What Karl doesn’t know is that Adam has secrets of his own and when the truth comes to light, the betrayal and mistrust could destroy what they’re trying to build together. The question is whether they can see past the hurt to the future ahead of them.

Truthful Change is the latest release by authors Jane Davitt & Alexa Snow. It’s a well written and plotted tale of what happens when an FBI investigation becomes personal and a dedicated agent loses himself in a world that fits his sexual preference better than the one he’s involved in.

I was truly puzzled at the beginning of this story due to the prologue and the first chapter not having a readily-seen connection to each other. Yes, the Aiden of the first chapter had to be the Adam of the second, but there wasn’t anything happening to tie them together, which distracted me. After reading further, I realized what the authors were trying to do but for me, their plot device only caused confusion.

The authors did a good job with the characterizations of both men but as far as I’m concerned, Karl is the gem of this story. He’s rough, proud, bossy, determined, confident and straightforward, all rolled into one sexy package and despite being a paid killer, I liked him from the start. I can’t say the same for Aiden and I guess it stems from his inability to keep his pants on when Karl’s around. This wouldn’t be a problem except for the little fact that he already has a partner he lives with and he’s cheating, without giving the reader any sense of what’s wrong with the relationships he’s in. Yes, I know I’m revealing a big spoiler, but some readers might find this aspect of the story bothersome and distasteful and they deserve to know this particular feature.

Don’t let what I said above dissuade you from reading this suspense, because I did enjoy it. It’s a good FBI undercover story with a little BDSM kink thrown in. Yes, Adam and Karl start a sexual relationship immediately, but neither can deny that their attraction goes deeper than physical, either. After an injury that lands Adam in the ER where Karl learns his true identity, the action and tension picks up speed bringing the lovers into greater conflict. Davitt & Snow did an equally nice job interjecting secondary characters at just the right point to move the plot along, instead of bogging it down. I particularly enjoyed Karl’s right-hand woman, Sophie. She was dedicated, determined, smart and gutsy and unfailingly loyal—and a woman you didn’t want to cross.

If you’re not put off by Adam’s cheating, take a chance on this one, I think you’ll be glad you did.

Donovan is a walking wet dream in leather and Craig has a folder full of fantasies to prove that notion. But Donovan is the quick and dirty type, who doesn’t have a relationship longer than a few hours, and Craig is ready for something lasting.

Unfortunately for Craig, his body thinks otherwise, and would love for his heart and mind to be wrong about the older man. Craig decides to use an internet ad to find a new co-star for his fantasies and get his libido under control. Will he simply gain his wish, or get more than he could have ever hoped?

Kim Dare’s latest release in the G-A-Y series is, by far, my favorite. Craig’s sweetness good guy persona teamed with the down and dirty leather wearing Donovan was enough to burn up the pages. The tug of war to gain what they both wanted was wonderful to read. I could understand Craig’s reluctance, but he had no defense against Donovan. His confidence and sensuality were honed to precision. The story was well written and entertaining, with a healthy dose of steamy erotic play on the side. From the setting to the characters, there wasn’t anything I could hope for with this story, except more! I’m looking forward to seeing what Ms. Dare comes up with next. Those who enjoy older men who know how to fight for what they want will love Gay Man Seeks Same.

US Marshall Dean Honeybone is on the mend. He and his lover, French chef Jean-Luc Sebastien, have settled into their New Orleans home. Kaia Pendleton has joined them in New Orleans for a visit. Life is good until Dean begins to find threatening notes around their property. Jean-Luc refuses to abandon Dean. However, a phone call from Kaia’s grandmother prompts Jean-Luc to escort Kaia back to Australia, giving Dean, along with other law enforcement officers, the freedom to hunt down the new culprit.

Creed is the second book in the Honeybone series. The well-written plot is set in New Orleans, Louisiana. The storyline features tourist sites in the city and a new threat coming from a surprising source. Much of the story is centered on Kaia’s visit. The characters are developed and the love scenes are very sensual. Dean is a protector; his main focus is keeping both Kaia and Jean-Luc safe. He would rather send them away from him than keep them in harm’s way. Jean-Luc is the caregiver, he makes sure Dean is on schedule with his medicine, as well as home-schooling Kaia so that she will be caught up when school is in session again. Jean-Luc expresses his love through his cooking of healthy meals. Although it is not official, Dean and Jean-Luc think of Kaia as their child, giving her the love and support a good father feels for his children. Kaia loves both men and feels secure being with them; it is she who insisted on the visit. Kaia was also reluctant to return home to Australia.

Yet again, the gifted AJ Llewellyn has produced an intriguing and enjoyable episode for the Honeybone series.

Ottawa McKee is hiding out on Spinnaker Island, away from an unwanted suitor, in the home her father left her, and there is one heck of a hurricane brewing on the way. She decided that staying on the island would be safest way to avoid the attention of Simeon, who is determined to force her into marrying him. As she is looking out the window, she sees a man barely holding onto the rocks and runs out to help him.

George Hayward is recovering from the beating his kidnappers gave him, who never explained what they wanted with him. He doesn’t remember why or who would want to take him and he believes that the men might be still after him. When he opens his eyes, he sees Ottawa, thinking she’s an angel, but she continues to care for him while he is delirious.

Storm Surge is not what I would call a great story, mostly because the author centered it around sex scenes in unusual places during a storm and there were two different dangers. George and Ottawa can’t hold normal thoughts without touching each other. I was extremely disappointed that instead of dealing with the danger of the hurricane and the men chasing George, I was instead constantly reading about their sexual exploits. My biggest problem with this is that these two characters didn’t even know each other at all and there was so much second guessing going on in their minds, while having sex.

This is the first book I have read by Evelyn Starr and I am a little disappointed that there was not more put into the plot, other than George being chased. When I read the blurb, it said suspense and there wasn’t any. I expected more than I got reading this story. I hope the next story Ms. Starr writes will be much better than this one.

Foxxe Wylder is loved by his audience because of his courage, incredible looks, and breathtaking physique. The survival show star always brings something to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, and his trip to Yellowstone will either prove to be the show to propel his career forward or end it with a resounding plop.

Reno may have been born part of a pack, but his heart aches for the opportunity to live like a man. Being hit by a car wasn’t part of the plan however it’s the catalyst for Reno to have all his desires met.

Lena Austin’s latest release Man vs. Wild takes us on a fantastic journey through Yellowstone. It was easy to see why Foxxe has such a strong fan base. His ability to make his adventures interesting made me wish it was an actual television show. Reno’s innocence adds to his appeal and is one of his characteristics that I loved the most. He is a perfect companion for Foxxe. Their mutual love of nature is the great foundation for these men to build their relationship on. From the setting to the plot, there wasn’t anything I found lacking in Man vs. Wild.

I’m anxiously awaiting the next story in the Coyotes of Yellowstone series. Buy a copy and enjoy!

Tynde, along with two companions, is traveling to the planet Kion, in hopes of rescuing his brother, Crown Prince Towan who disappeared from their home planet Alaquis without a trace. Also on the space shuttle is wealthy businessman Koss, a native of Kion. Koss is immediately attracted to Tynde. However, Tynde is at a loss to understand a world so different from his own until Koss steps into the role of Tynde’s defender.

Sparking is the first book in the Pets series. The story is a building plot of intrigue set in imaginary planets. At the beginning, the story seems to be just a romance. However, little clues reveal an actual puzzle presenting questions that inspired me to search for answers. The storyline features religious brainwashing by a fanatic, deceptions, as well as emotional discovery. The characters are believable, in addition to the sensual intimate scenes exhibited. However, I did find the excessive amount of duplicate dialogue between characters to be unwarranted. Tynde, as a second son, is destined for the Priory. He lived a cloistered life with his sexuality censored by religious teachings. Meeting Koss allows Tynde to explore his feelings, as well as experience sexual freedom. Koss realizes he has a special bond with Tynde and is determined to protect Tynde from anyone who would do him harm. Koss’s social position makes him a target in the business world. With Tynde now a part of his life, Koss must stay alert for possible attacks.

Mike Shade has created an impressive and enjoyable first installment; I am looking forward to the next episode.
