Keith Malone, Bailey Mitchell and Drake McKale are at the Del Fantasma, a San Diego nightclub for both the supernatural and humans, owned by a vampire named Cody. Keith and Drake are there to relax with a drink and possibly meet someone for a sexual fling. Bailey is on a mission to join his best friend Adam. Sitting together at the bar, the sparks begin to fly between Bailey and Drake. However, there is also an instant attraction between the three men and only Drake realizes it is because they are mates.

Duck Fart is a fantastic, as well as hilarious, romance. The plot is well written and well paced. The developed characters have superb interaction. Keith is human; he knows he is fascinated by both Bailey and Drake but is not sure why. Keith is a carpenter who does occasional work for his friend Cody. He’s comfortable with the supernatural. Keith is an easy-going guy with a natural protective instinct towards the two smaller men. Bailey is a shy Siamese cat shifter. He travelled to San Diego in hopes of reuniting with Adam and breaking the grasp his father has on him. However, upon his arrival at the bar, Bailey recognizes Adam is already mated to a werewolf. A newly graduated engineer, Bailey is not aware that the magnetism he feels for Keith and Drake is actually a mating signal. Drake is a duck shifter with attitude. Independent, as well as highly educated, Drake hides his intelligence behind a brash persona. He is also grumpy and looking for a fight because every shifter he meets snickers at him since he is smaller than everyone else. When Drake decides to pick a fight with the shy, little kitty Bailey, he realizes Bailey, along with Keith, are his mates.

The amazing Jade Buchanan has created a splendid story with an entertaining theme, exhilarating, as well as adorable, characters in addition to delectable love scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed Duck Fart.

Orphaned at a young age, Grace Hathaway is left in the custody of a ruthless uncle, who wants her inheritance. She is plotting on how to get out of a threatened marriage to an odious cousin and sets sail to Spain, to see the man who is handling her monies. When she is caught on a ship as a stowaway by the captain, who is angry that someone got past his crew, she is determined to do her share of work.

Captain Marcus James is at home on the seas and he has no plans to become a land-lover at all. He is haunted by the death of his parents, who were sailing home and attacked by pirates, leaving him at their mercy. Grace is not what he expects to find in the hold and when he tries to make an example of her, it backfires badly.

Serenade is quite the story of a ship’s captain facing bad storms, battling pirates and a blazing hot romance with an unwanted female. I am extremely proud of Grace for ignoring society’s rules and going off to save herself from marrying someone she didn’t love. The villain in this story is more than one person, both on land and out to sea. It was interesting how the sailors took to Grace, especially during the tattoo scene.

Ms. Grace has done a great job of storytelling about what can happen on the open sea and the battle with the pirates, while being chased by the law was an added touch. It made the story more realistic for me and I thought that Marcus displayed quite the behavior of a sea captain. There is quite a change in his life after finding out what really happened when his parents died and who the story came from was truly devastating for him at first.

This is the first book I have read from this author and am looking forward to seeing more from her. I would hope that there is more in regards to some of the secondary characters that have a story also. Read and enjoy.

For the last three years, Gil has bought Xan at The Hammers annual Christmas Charity auction. The first two years, the men have parted company after their auction night was completed but this year, Gil wants to take Xan home and claim the sub for his own.

Xan is an intense and passionate artist and he’s gotten so involved with his work in the past, he’s actually hurt himself and is in desperate need of someone to guide and take care of him. He’s packed and ready to leave town after his latest night with Gil. When the Dom wants more from him- wants to take him home- the question is whether Xan can trust Gil and believe the man wants him as a forever lover.

New is the latest short release revolving around the people who live, work or play at The Hammer. At 12.7 K, this release is limited in length, but not in emotion. It’s a nicely paced story of Gil, convincing the man he wants to stay, that they can’t be good together. But his toughest job is showing Xan that he’s a man to be trusted. Not just with his body and pleasures but with his heart and soul.

Once again Sean Michael has taken the reader on a journey of discovery and shown that life and love isn’t the same for everyone, but that some individuals have different needs to find a happy and satisfied life. That’s exactly what he does with Gil and Xan. Together they fit the empty places of the other, making a whole.

All Derek has ever wanted to do is play his music. In order to achieve his dream, Derek had kept some secrets. After eight years, those secrets are starting to destroy him.

Max is a private person and he likes it that way. After the upbringing he had, Max always swore he would never be anyone’s dirty little secret.

Wishing For A Home, T.A. Chase’s latest addition to the Home series, brings two former secondary characters into the limelight. Max and Derek have kept fans of this series waiting for their story and those fans won’t be disappointed. While the readers have met these two before, their backgrounds have stayed a mystery. As the author reveals their secrets, both Max and Derek’s prior behavior began to make sense to me.

I loved that the author let Max and Derek take their time learning about each other, rather than throwing them into bed right away. I thought it gave a realistic flavor to the story and allowed the readers to see the depth of feeling the men have for each other. Their relationship does have a few bumps so you may want to keep the tissue handy.

Readers will also enjoy the fact that previous couples make an appearance, allowing the reader to catch up on some of their favorite characters. With several secondary characters still yelling for stories of their own, this is one series that hopefully won’t end any time soon.

Isabella Carrington works for a travel agency and she is also a celebrated artist known as ICE. Isabella has decided to stay in Venice to try to get Rhineholdt Hoffman’s attention after meeting him at a friend’s wedding. She has always gotten pretty much anything she wanted, including men, until she met Rhineholdt.

Rhineholdt had a very bad experience with a woman in the past and tries very hard not to act on his attraction to Isabella. After Isabella nearly dies, he decides to face his fear and take a chance.

Isabella Ignites is the last book in the Magnificent Men of Munich series. Rhineholdt and Isabella both have some emotional baggage that comes through very clear as the book progresses. Both have to face their fears and open up to each other. While the chemistry between the two is very good, the book focuses more on the emotional aspects of both main characters. Characters from the previous books pop up and give each some good advice.

The tone of Isabella Ignites is a little different than the earlier books as they incorporated more interaction between the main and secondary characters of each book. I liked reading this book and, while I think you should read the entire series, you can read each alone and enjoy.

Officer Daniel Sinclair had been a dreamer all his life and now is no different. He has returned home to take care of his brother. Now that he has picked up Cleo from the train station, he takes her to get settled in at the hotel before meeting the person who requested her abilities as a psychic. The one thing the people in his hometown can do is spot an outsider a mile away, and Cleo fits the bill.

Cleo is trying to get on with her life and she has taken on a new job in a different place. She is her own worst enemy with not believing in herself as a psychic; when Daniel shows he doesn’t believe in her, she becomes defensive with him. When she is asked to use her psychic skills on some of the townspeople, she gets more than expected. Still confused about her feeling for him causes her to make some choices that will have Daniel following her.

Bad Karma is quite the story of two very emotional people that need each other more than they realized. These two characters found ways to pick at each other more than normal, instead of saying what they really felt towards one another. One thing that came of their dysfunctional attitudes is that Daniel’s brother learned how to live without dependence on him. There were some murders committed, new relationships formed and blistering hot sex.

Ms. Weir has done a nice job of storytelling of how people can show negative feelings regarding psychics. It kept my attention from the start of the book until the end, trying to understand what was going on with Cleo. The history given surrounding both main characters was very informative, and gave me a better understanding of their characters. She knew that she was a psychic but doubts her abilities because of a tragedy that she blamed herself for. The ending is not what I expected and I won’t give it away here. So read and enjoy.

Corey Cassidy has always loved his childhood friend, Gage Wellton. The two shared some important moments before Gage moved away and they still live on fondly in their memories. Corey is tired of living on memories and wants to begin a life with Gage. Gage is now a cowboy and doesn’t feel he can have a gay relationship. A fantastic weekend and one unexpected visit later has Gage questioning that decision.

R. W. Clinger’s The Weekender is about the discovery to reawakening of love. Corey and Gage’s experience make for interesting reading. Gabe has apprehensions about love and relationships. Corey has waited too long to claim the man he loves and refuses to settle for less than he deserves. While some parts of the story did grab my attention, I didn’t feel an emotional connection to the two characters the way I had hoped. I did appreciate the varying settings. The mixture added interest and kept the story flowing. Overall, I found The Weekender to be an enjoyable read.

Gary Keller is invited on a cruise by new friends he met at his client Tyler’s house party. When he meets Scott Haworth on the cruise ship, there is an immediate attraction between them. However, Scott has a traumatic past he is struggling to overcome. Nine months earlier, he was released from prison after The Innocence Project and DNA evidence exonerated him of the crime. Nevertheless the victim’s brother still believes Scott is guilty.

Unexpected Viintage is a spin-off of Bottled Up and Uncorked. The well written storyline highlights The Innocence Project and the turmoil involved in regaining life outside the prison system. The characters are believable. Gary works for a wholesale fabric company and Tyler is his client. The house party introduces Gary to Tyler and Mark’s friends. Gary is a conscientious agreeable man who desires a long term relationship with the right man. Meeting Scott proves to be the man Gary can love. Because of a stalker on a mission to destroy his new life, Scott is afraid of social rejection. Also having lost his civil rights once, Scott fears contact with authority figures. Scott feels unworthy of his new friends and Gary. Scott suffers nightmares from being imprisoned.

I found the stalker’s mentality intriguing, along with how his way of thinking justified his actions. Another dilemma Gary and Scott have is how to continue a relationship when they live in different states. Andrew Grey has created a superb saga full of emotional chaos, in addition to sensual intimate scenes. The theme conveys awareness to some of the flaws in the justice system, along with the impact a wrongful imprisonment can have on an innocent person. I enjoyed this impressive story immensely.

Bobby Bielecki is on spring break from college so he goes home to help run the family wine store while his adopted father and partner take a vacation. Bobby’s once-best friend and lost love, Kenny Johnson, is also coming home to help out in the store. In spite of the tension between them, Bobby and Kenny decide to put their differences aside and work together. Being together again, Bobby and Kenny explore their past, in addition to reviving the love they thought was lost.

Uncorked is the heartwarming sequel to Bottled Up. Bobby was an abused teenager living on the streets until he was rescued and adopted by Sean and his partner, Sam. Kenny was brought into the home when his policeman father was killed in the line of duty. Bobby and Kenny lived in the same household until they went away to different colleges. During the loss of contact with his best friend, Bobby feels rejected by Kenny. In awe of Bobby’s talent, Kenny did not consider himself to be worthy of Bobby’s love. Kenny encouraged Bobby to pursue his dreams, even though he regretted pushing Bobby away.

This well written emotional storyline features two young men growing into a mature loving relationship. The developed characters illustrate realistic sentiment to the various dilemmas that occupied them. The interwoven background informs the reader of how the present love story began. Andrew Grey has created an impressive saga that I greatly enjoyed.

Christie Taylor’s middle name should have been ‘Doubter”, since the woman doesn’t believe in anything that can’t be rationally explained. She’s a life-long skeptic and makes her living debunking so-called paranormal activities. She also doesn’t believe in love at first sight until she meets and is swept off her feet by hunky Kaine Delcaluca.

Meeting Kaine short circuits Christie’s brain and before she can blink, they’ve flown to Las Vegas for a quickie wedding. Christie is crazy about her new husband and the sex is mind-blowing, but when the topic of starting a family immediately comes up, she refuses.

What Christie has yet to discover is that her husband is a dragon—a very important dragon - and he needs an heir to ensure the continuation of his bloodline and the safety of the people of his dynasty. On top of this, the only weapon powerful enough to kill a dragon, the scepter of fire, has gone missing. Kaine has only a few days to find the missing weapon and impregnate his wife or all will be lost.

I Married a Dragon is the second and newest release in the ongoing Para-Mates series by Beverly Rae. It’s a fun, fast-paced, sexy, unusual and irreverent paranormal romance that grabbed my attention from the first page and kept it until the baby making end. It’s filled with romance, blistering hot sex, intrigue, betrayal, and more paranormal shifters than I thought possible—they even have servants who started life as mice.

Considering Christie’s rationality, she comes to the conclusion Kaine is a dragon more quickly than I expected. Numerous secondary characters float in and out of the story, helping to move the plot along, and to shove Christie into the reality of the paranormal world she now lives in. Some of the secondaries are pleasant, such as Missy and Thad, while others, Tuo, Sabrina and Fitz, are anything but.

Kaine’s unlike any man Christie has ever met. He’s powerful, dynamic, gorgeous and so sexy he takes her breath away. He’s everything she’s ever wanted in a husband and more—and on top of everything else, he’s mega wealthy. That doesn’t mean Kaine’s life is problem free. Far from it. At the moment he meets and marries Christie, his life is spiraling out of control and keeping secrets from his new bride makes for more conflict, misunderstandings and danger than he ever imagined.

If you like a paranormal romance with a little bit of everything-from dragons to demons, then give this entertaining and well written contemporary a try; you won’t be sorry you did. From the last chapter where Christies is talking with two friends, I can almost guarantee by the conversation between the characters that the next installment in this funny series will be I Married a Vampire. Here’s hoping.

After twelve years, Andie’s heart still skipped a beat when she laid eyes on the man of her dreams. Running into Ben in London was the last thing she expected. The man had stolen Andie’s heart along with her virginity, and never looked back. Even though she wasn’t the innocent tomboy she once was, Andie couldn’t help wondering where their relationship could have gone.

Working with horses was the excuse that Ben used for traveling to England, but the truth was that he hoped to find Andie. He just couldn’t shake her, even in his dreams. Their time together was wonderful, so Ben couldn’t understand why Andie would disappear without a word. What had he done to frighten her and how could he make it right?

After graduation Andie finally gets Ben to make a move on her, and it turns out better than either of them imagined. Their night was perfect, or so it seemed at the time. However, happiness quickly turns into anger and hurt when an interfering family member gets involved. Now each of them believes they have been rejected by the other. One moment changed both of their lives and almost kept the couple apart forever. Years later, Ben is still pining for Andie, just as Andie is still pining for Ben. Miss July proves that destiny can’t be stopped and definitely not where love is concerned. Because of his past with Andie, Ben’s love life was controlled and not as fulfilling as it ought to have been. His uncertainty about Andie’s disappearance had caused Ben to hide his true self from women. Andie’s confidence had suffered as well.

Their reunion had me reading while squirming in my seat. Madison Hayes added some interesting twists and turns that lead to a touching ending. Ben was so weighed down by guilt, my heart went out to him. I felt his longing for Andie leap off the pages. When Ben discovers that Andie is Miss July my jaw almost hit the floor. One particularly sizzling sex scene that followed will leave you panting for more. I also loved the fortuneteller in this story and would love to read more about her. This is a wonderful addition to the Calendar Girl series, so grab a copy.

Max is following the wife of a client when he sees Jordan doing a pole dance while she is teaching a dance class. He debates whether or not he should get involved with her, since he sees her on the job. Jordan takes the decision out of his hands when she picks him up at a bar.

To The Max is a light hearted romance with just a smidgen of suspense. Both Max and Jordan are from rich families that try mettle in their lives, but both go their own way. The feelings the author attributed to each character came through as they tried to hide their identities from each other. The chemistry between Jordan and Max is keep-the-ice handy worthy. The author did a good job with the banter between the two.

Five years after waking up in the hospital, Valerie still doesn’t remember anything about her past aside from her name. Valerie Falkyre. The doctors all agree that she may never regain her memory and she’s resigned to not knowing where she came from or if she has family searching for her. She built a satisfying life. She lives with her friend Molly, has gotten involved with Dr. Payton Sullivan, has a part-time job and is going to school. Life is good until Valerie begins to experience disturbing nightmares and flashes of sounds and events she doesn’t remember or can’t explain.

Her life reaches a turning point when magical abilities begin to manifest and she comes face to face with the reality of things that go bump in the night. She’s suddenly thrust into a deadly world and the only way she’s going to survive is with the help of three not quite human lovers from her past— Lucha, Gregory and Kerr; men she doesn’t remember.

The Valkyrie is the first release in Mandy Roth’s series Valkyrie. It’s an exciting urban fantasy that kept my interest from the first page to the last. She’s created an unusual character in Valerie. I don’t ever remember reading a book where the main character is the victim of amnesia. It’s an interesting premise and the intermittent manner in which pieces of Valerie’s past is exposed works very well. I also enjoyed the differences in her personality: clueless as to her abilities versus vague memories of anger, death, blood, violence and passion.

Molly and Payton are great secondary characters and both play a vital role in grounding Valerie and moving the storyline along. Add in the three men: Lucha, Kerr and Gregory from her very distant past, along with a few vampire bad guys and you’ve got everything needed for a complicated ongoing story arc. I’m anxious to see what other abilities and aspects of Valerie’s personality Ms. Roth reveals in the next release. As is usual for books that fall into the urban fantasy genre, you’re not going to find a happily ever after with this release. If you can enjoy an “I’ve-survived” ending then I say give this story a try.

This book was previously published.

Brandr is walking down the sidewalk at Redondo Beach, lost in deep thought when he walked right into a parking meter. Surfer Tyler Ferris grabs Brandr’s arm in an attempt to prevent his fall. Instead of a thank you, Brandr throws Tyler against Tyler’s Jeep. Striking his head, Brandr’s nose starts to bleed with a few drops landing on Tyler’s mouth and the bond is formed when Tyler ingests Brandr’s blood.

Bonded is the second installment in the Bonded series and a fantastic story with great characters. Before he was turned into a vampire, Brandr was the scourge of the Baltic Sea. His band of Vikings terrorized coastal cities from Helsinki to Copenhagen. Now he is an author of romance novels. Sharing his home are three recently turned vampires whom Brandr chose to mentor in the vampire skills needed to survive. The first is Kyle, who spends most of his time in front of the TV when not perusing his rent boy career. Henry is into yoga and quiet contemplation. Jamie is all about working on his laptop or playing computer games. Brandr complains about the lack of peace in his household. However, underneath his grumpy exterior, he likes having that close connection with the other men. Tyler is an intelligent easy-going man starting over after breaking up with his loser boyfriend when he accidently becomes bonded to Brandr. Although he is attracted to several of the vampires and not opposed to the bond once he discovers the meaning, Tyler wants to remain in his own apartment rather than be the only human in a vampire household.

Jay Lygon has created an amazing episode for this series. The interesting plot is well written, the interaction between the characters is hilarious. Bonded is entertaining, as well as very enjoyable. I look forward to the next installment of this incredible saga.

Choosing not to date didn’t bother Eleanor one bit because life was good. She’s financially stable and has great friends, so what more could she want? Just as she was thinking things couldn’t be better, Eleanor meets a man who makes her tingle from just the thought of him.

Jackson knew how to read people, especially women, and he knew Eleanor wanted him. There was no doubt in his mind that the sexy lady crawling under her desk was the perfect submissive for him. All that was left to do was claim Eleanor and show her all the pleasures he had in store for her.

Even though she was drawn to Jackson, Eleanor was a bit put off by Jackson’s archaic attitude. Jackson, being the man that he was, saw nothing wrong with his actions. Stubbornness creates a misunderstanding in this spontaneous romance, but finally both parties realize the depth of their feelings.

One particular disagreement between Jackson and Eleanor had me questioning Jackson’s appeal. I was shocked and angered by his reaction. Fortunately, there was a scene that showed Jackson’s concern for not overwhelming Eleanor and that made my anger disappear. No matter what, that man was over the moon for his woman and he never let her forget it. The desire between the couple almost jumped off the pages. Tessie Bradford created two passionate characters that took me through a range of emotions and made me glad I picked up Possessing Eleanor.

Focused on his career, Jeff Morgan has limited time for play. Sex is for release and not about finding that happily-ever-after partner. He controls every aspect of his life… until now.

Ollie Cranford isn’t your average baker. The tattooed man sporting a shaven head and piercings owns one of the most prestigious bakeries in town. His true reward comes from his spectacular creations and the happiness they bring.

Ollie wants to teach Jeff the fine art of relaxation. Will Jeff take Ollie up on his offer, or is having control more important?

Icing on the Cake is Shayla Kersten’s current release and what a fabulous story. Jeff is your average control freak that likes everything to remain compartmentalized in his life. Ollie has learned life’s lessons that have grounded him, making him the confident man he is. The two men heat up the pages, creating havoc on your senses, and have you prepared to find a willing partner and some sauces and icing to create a few erotic moments with. I think I gained a few pounds just from the description of Ollie’s cooking skills alone. Shayla reminds us of just how sensual food can be in this well written story. I’m hoping she will return to the couple in the future. I would love to know what happens next for Jeff and Ollie. Passion and food take center stage in Icing on the Cake. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and I recommend it to those who enjoy the genre.

New Assistant Fire Chief Leo Burkowski is feeling his age and after catching his former partner with another man, he’s reluctant to get involved with fellow firefighter, Sammy Lee. Living and working together in such close quarters makes it increasingly difficult to resist the subtle advances of the younger man. When the two work together on a chili cook-off contest to raise money for a community youth center, the men grow even closer.

The day comes when Sammy makes his move and Leo doesn’t resist. He knows an attractive man like his young lover won’t stay interested in a man eighteen years he’s senior, so Leo refuses to think of their relationship as anything other than a passing fling. What the wounded Leo doesn’t realize is that Sammy is looking for a long-term partnership, not a short-term affair. Can these two men work through their differences and find the happiness they both want or will their hope for the future be destroyed by pain from Leo’s past?

Firehouse Heat is the sixteenth release in Carol Lynne’s popular ongoing Cattle Valley series and it’s another enjoyable read in a keeper group of books. Leo and Sammy are both relatively new additions to Cattle Valley and Ms. Lynne did a great job making them a part of the community. In doing so, she’s brought back numerous characters from previous releases, as well as adding other new residents Zac and Jakob.

I loved the way Ms. Lynne expressed Leo’s fears and insecurities of getting involved with the much younger Sammy. Yet, when he finally acts on his attraction, he did it with fire, passion and his whole heart, knowing he could be hurt again. The author did an equally nice job with Sammy’s character. This man knows what he wants…and he wants Leo and allowing his love, tenderness and understanding to shine through was a wonderful way for Sammy to reach out to heart-heavy Leo.

Once Leo and Sammy get together there, isn’t much internal conflict but outside their relationship, there’s plenty going on, including the chili contest. A well-constructed near tragedy revolving around Zac is handled well and introduces another new character in Zac’s father, Butch Alben…a man described as looking like Ezra’s bigger brother. Add in an event which brings Neil’s former guardian to town and you have enough going on to fuel a couple of future books. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Sergeant Bailey Stevenson doesn’t see how Captain David Wellmine could be attracted to him. He believes his injuries sustained in the line of duty are too extensive for David to see him as a lover. David isn’t immune to Bailey, but knows what is expected of him by his father, and that path doesn’t lead to David admitting he is gay.

A spell on St. Patrick’s Day removes the obstacles keeping David and Bailey from acting on their attraction. Will David decide to claim the love Bailey wants to supply, or will he continue down a road that leads to misery and living a false existence?

T. A. Chase’s Fighting Dragons is the latest release in the Dragons series. This is the story that I’ve been waiting to read. Bailey’s character pulled at my heartstrings when he was first introduced. His battle to remain independent even after sustaining his injuries and living with constant pain is admirable. David had reasons he deems important for not pursuing Bailey but when the right set of circumstances opened the door, there was no stopping David from reacting. His sensuality and ability to take in Bailey’s needs made me ache and I knew in that moment they were meant to be together, not just for Bailey’s sake but for David’ sake as well.

Fighting Dragons flows effortlessly and I found myself reading the last sentence too soon, but it has left me roaring for the next story.

Riley Ramirez has wanted to move to New York for years and when her employer had an opening in the city she loves, Riley jumped at it. She always knew moving to the city of her dreams would change her life; she just never expected it to happen on her first night on the town. She manages to get inside a nightclub owned by Kincade Marshall and when they meet, it’s instantaneous and explosive. Riley has no idea her new lover is a Dom and that he’ll require complete submission from her, even to the point of accepting his best friend Trevor into their bed.

What Riley doesn’t know is that Cade and Trevor always share their women and it won’t be any different with her. They’ve been looking for their one special woman for years and it only takes one night together for the men to know that woman is Riley. While they work to convince the skeptical Riley that they want her forever, someone else is plotting behind the scenes to eliminate her and Cade and Trevor don’t figure out the danger until it’s almost too late.

A Table for Three is the first release in a new series New York by Lainey Reese. The story is well constructed and fast paced from the first page to the last. Riley, Cade and Trevor have fantastic chemistry together from the very start: they’re intense, passionate and the sex is blistering hot and frequent.

Doms Cade and Trevor know from the first night that Riley is the one woman meant to be theirs and they set about convincing her during a two week trial period. Ms. Reese did a great job expressing Riley’s often wide-eyed innocence and her willingness to jump in and trust the two new men in her life. She did an equally nice job showing the men’s determination to show Riley they want her to stay. The sex may be frequent but they are also periods of fun together outside the bedroom: eating out, the theater, shopping and even just cuddling on the couch…they have fun together.

The danger revolving around Riley is well-written and creative, as is Cade and Trevor’s response to almost losing the woman they love. The character of the villain is equally well done, but I can’t say the same for the identity, since it was obvious before the first. A little too obvious, but her actions and volatile emotions were well written, and allowed the reader a good look into what made her tick.

My main concern is Riley and her without-a-thought willingness to engage in sex with a stranger in public and to get involved in a Dom/submissive relationship almost immediately. This young woman was supposed to have only two boyfriends in the past, and while she might not have been sexually satisfied with these men, her sudden acceptance of a different type of man (men) in her life seemed too fast. For a woman of her background, I would have expected more reluctance and uncertainty.

That being said, A Table for Three is a good introduction in this new series and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next release with Damaged Goods. This one involves Cade’s cousin Brice, a New York City detective. Take a look on Ms. Reese’s coming soon page for a short excerpt.

Due to the death of her parents, Diana finds herself in charge of her family’s villa, along with her siblings, and others who lived with her. By tradition, only the men are head of the household, and Diana has become the go-to person for everyone that survived the attack by the Saxons. She finds herself fantasizing about how much pleasure Alaric can give to her, but is terrified after the incident she endured during the attack.

When Alaric sees her in the forest, he is mesmerized by Diana’s beauty, and can’t believe she is the same person who is a tyrant, making sure everyone is working hard. He is a trusted lieutenant to Arthur, a British leader bent on conquering the enemy, and finds himself in a situation that is created by his own doing.

Diana by the Moon took me by surprise with King Arthur’s conquests, and his ability to negotiate with the remaining Romans in Britain. This is definitely a time after the Roman legions have returned to Rome, leaving their people open to the Saxon’s pillaging. Diana proved again and again that she was a true leader. That she was willing to stand in the face of adversity and found love where she thought was not a possibility was a testament to her strength.

Ms. Cooper-Posey has again created a fantastic story filled with murder, love, and betrayals. I loved every moment of reading how Alaric and Diana learned to work together for the betterment of others. There never seems to be a time when people are able to let go of the old ways, and change for the better, until it’s too late most time. I am happy to know that Alaric and Diana are able to overcome obstacles that came from others. Kudos to Ms. Cooper-Posey and lasting success!

For Senth Antonello, life as part of the Thieves' Guild began at the tender age of three. Now at eighteen, he has earned his position and proven his worth on more than one occasion. Senth finds out he has a brother and the discovery gives him something and someone tangible to fight for; however his new assignment could prove to be problematic. Senth is to work closely with Captain NarrAy Jorlan, and his attraction to her could jeopardize everything he holds dear.

NarrAy is a Better and no new recruit to the resistance. She’s a woman who knows her mind and understands the risk of falling for Senth. That doesn’t cause their magnetism to lessen. NarrAy has never felt desire as she does with Senth, and knows firsthand the truth behind the myths of being a Better. Is she willing to put her happiness in Senth’s capable but innocent hands?

At the Mercy of Her Pleasure is the first book of the Antonello Brothers series and what a delicious story. I’ve always loved Senth’s character, but seeing him as a man made the waiting worthwhile. He might be a capable thief, but he holds a great deal of innocence when it comes to women and sex. I love this about his character. Years as a thief hasn’t jaded him and that element to his character drew me to him. NarrAy is a great partner for Senth. Her compassion and love for him was evident throughout this tale. NarrAy’s a bit older and wiser in some aspects, but doesn’t treat Senth like a child. To me, that one action is what allowed these two to move forward as lovers.

Kayelle Allen delivers a well-plotted story, as always, with fascinating twists you don’t see coming. For those who enjoy Saint-Cyr as much as I do, there’s more than enough of the handsome plotting man to quench your thirst. Action, suspense, and passionate erotic moments lace the pages of this book and will have you anxious for the next installment.

Note: This book is a substantially re-edited, revised edition previously released by another publisher and has a reference to rape offscreen.

Romance novelist and vampire, Brandr is having issues with his computer, his solution is to toss it out the patio door. Within minutes, the computer is tossed back by Kyle, a newly-turned vampire without any thoughts on how to survive as a vampire. Brandr cannot resist coming to Kyle’s rescue with an offer to tutor him, along with giving Kyle a temporary home.

The Quality of Mercy (A Bonded Story) is a very short story of introduction to the Bonded series. Brandr, A thousand year old vampire who was once a Viking and the scourge of the Baltic Sea, now resides in the Hollywood Hills where he writes romance novels. Kyle is a male escort who lived with a violent pimp before Brandr rescued him. Jay Lygon has created a fantastic opening snippet to this series. The interaction between the characters is comical, as well as exceedingly enjoyable. I look forward to reading the next episode.

Since he turned eighteen, Kyle MacDonald had followed his father and older brother from one professional bullriding event to another. He organizes, cleans and keeps track of their equipment, all while trying to avoid making his abusive, alcoholic father angry. It doesn’t take much to send his dad into a violent rage and even though he’s been told to stay away from the bull, Kyle rebels and visits the pens as much as possible. It’s during one such forbidden visit that he meets Champion Bull Rider Duncan Hornsby.

Duncan’s won the championship two years running and is ahead in the standings for the current year. He’s watched Kyle for several weeks and despite Kyle’s father being his biggest competitor, Duncan can’t deny his attraction to the shy, younger man. Duncan’s willing to risk just about everything for the chance of building a lifetime with Kyle. The question is whether he can protect his new lover from the macho posturing of other bull riders and his violent father and sibling.

Duncan’s World is the latest release by talented multi-published author T. A. Chase. It’s a well-written enjoyable read with two likable characters in young Kyle and older, experienced Duncan. These two men are at vastly different places in their lives, but they still want the same things: love, companionship, a caring partnership and a place to call home.

Despite his young age, living with his abusive father and brother has made Kyle a little world weary and TA has expressed those feelings of emotional and physical pain nicely. I loved Kyle’s refusal to give up visiting the bull pen’s even though he knew it angered his easily riled father. It was a small freedom he enjoyed and nothing was going to make him give it up. He’s a guy you’d be glad to call friend; he’s kind, caring, helpful and loyal. Duncan is everything Kyle ever wanted and he’s willing to defy his father orders to get it.

There’s little in the way of conflict between Duncan and Kyle. Instead, TA has concentrated on outside conflicts and how they impact the men’s growing relationship. The emotional ties between these two are strong, the passion intense, and the sex blistering hot. Kyle and Duncan are great together and while I enjoyed the entire story, my favorite scenes, and the ones I think TA excelled at, all revolve around Kyle’s father getting his just desserts—one by Kyle, another by Duncan and the final blow by Kyle’s mother.

While this story has its share of angst, overall it’s a tale of new beginnings, love found despite adversity and a hope for a better tomorrow. Read and enjoy. I did.

Andriel seems to have no one he can turn to for help. Known as the betrayer by some and the turncoat by others, none seemed to see the crimes against him like Lord Tobias, Demon Prince of Lust. Andriel wants redemption and Tobias is more than ready to help the Cherubim. After one night, Tobias begins to have an emotional connection to Andriel and his protective nature rears its head. Is it enough to help Andriel to face his past and seek out that forgiveness he desires?

Black Sheep is the second story in the Angels and Demons series. Auburnimp delivers Andriel’s story, or at least the beginning of it, in this tale. Andriel has a long way to go before his life is anything resembling normal again. The acceptance he wants will take time, as wounds are still festering because of his duplicity. I like Tobias and Andriel as a couple, and look forward to watching them grow over the course of this series. More of the plot against Lucifer surfaces and has me anxious to read the next story.
