It started with a kiss, a way for Rayne Carr to pull Charles Sylvester Piper III back to the safety of the bridge.  However, the sensual power entrenched in that kiss ignited a budding love for both of them.

Rayne’s Wild Ride is a fascinating and heartwarming romance that examines the sources of hatred, as well as the emotional impact on victims of homophobia.  The story illustrates self-loathing, as well as envy of those who have acknowledged their sexuality as a basis for hate. The characters are true to life.  Home life was extremely miserable for Piper, yet he continued to live there to protect his younger brother. Unfortunately, it was Piper’s younger brother who exposed Piper’s penchant for cross-dressing.  Caught up in his own abusive treatment from their father, Piper was not aware of how bad things were for his brother.  Piper’s absence from home triggers dramatic revelations of all sorts of dirty little secrets that had been buried in his family’s closet.

Ray is an all around good guy. Dependable and sincere, Ray cares for people regardless of their sexual characteristics.  Ray is attracted to the inner beauty of a person; his sexuality is not locked up by social labels of gender. Ray is a perfect example of how love and kindness can direct a person towards a positive future, with exceptionally rewarding benefits for them both.

Jambrea Jo Jones’ creative flair weaves drama, sizzling intimacy scenes, along with compassionate characters into an amazing feel good saga that I found thoroughly enjoyable.
