Tristan will be going back on active duty and working the case involving a project the traitor was working on.  Unfortunately they need a scientist to make sense of the medical notes and Kimberly is drafted by her friend’s husband to help.

Passionate Immunity is the third book in The Agency series and picks up with one of the agents from Flirting With Danger.  A new partner for Tristan is introduced and their new boss has assigned both of them to assist Kimberly, then to follow up on her findings. 

Tristan and Kimberly realize they have some explosive chemistry when they meet.  I really liked Kimberly’s enthusiasm, even though she had some wrong ideas about what ‘spies’ do.  The author gave her a wonderful personality that just lights up the room.  Nothing that happened seemed to faze her.

The author threw in a twist that was never hinted at in the previous books.  The way she also weaved the medical information so the reader could understand the workings of labs was enjoyable.  I loved Tristan’s attitude about Kimberly’s work.  I had hoped that there would be more resolution about one situation, but the way Passionate Immunity ended probably is the foundation for the next story in this series.

This series does need to be read in order.  Though each book is about separate agents, the storyline about the aftermath of a traitor within an agency is true to life.  I am waiting for the next book as I want to see where the trail leads.
