Sidney loves his life. He’s doing very well as a model in L.A, has a boyfriend who loves him and tons of gorgeous friends - some he even has sex with. This fact comes back to haunt him when his boyfriend is found murdered. When the police start to suspect him, Sidney has no idea how he will prove his innocence.
When a famous fashion designer is found murdered, Greg is assigned the case. What he hoped would be an open and closed case becomes anything but as he falls for their prime suspect. Now Greg has to find the real killer in order to prove Sidney innocent.
Murder by Design is an interesting who-done-it set in the modeling world. Sidney is not always a likeable character, in the beginning. As his life spirals out of control, he becomes less self-involved, which makes it easy to see why Greg has fallen for him. While the mystery itself does not leave you on pins and needles, there were a couple of times when I could not make up my mind about who the murderer was. All in all, this is another fine book by Jade Falconer.
