Eli and Alec are finally able to make a real go at a relationship, yet things are not going as smoothly as they both hoped.

When author Dawn Kimberly Johnson ended Broken, Eli and Alec had finally gotten back together after some serious problems were faced. Home starts just a few months later and while the men are able to move forward in their relationship, the problems haven’t disappeared completely. This is just one of the reasons this sequel is so good. The author could have very simply written a story in which everything was just roses and sunshine with maybe a few hiccups along the way, yet she chose to sprinkle the story with reality instead. Eli and Alec continue to struggle and while their need for each other is apparent, they both still have issues that need to be overcome. As fans of the first book will remember, Eli and Alec lived in a home with three other people. Those characters return, as do a few others to help move the story along. There are a few twists and turns that I did not see coming and while I was surprised by one of them, I wasn’t overly shocked as the character involved was never one of my favorites.

If you enjoyed Broken, then pick up Home today, as you will want to see just how well Eli and Alec’s story ends. For those of you who have not yet read these stories, just remember that they must be read in order.
