Genevieve makes all kinds of deals to try to save Jude after he is taken.  She knows her actions will have consequences, but she doesn’t care.  She needs him for the upcoming war. 

The conclusion of The Vessel Trilogy, Bound in Black, is full of twists and turns as the world heads toward the start of war between good and evil.  I was surprised by the numerous characters that make appearances and their roles in this story. The twists kept coming as the suspense kept building.

Genevieve has some big surprises about Thomas and just who Prince Bamal’s Vessel is.  The scene with the other Vessel was a shocker that caused me to shed some tears.  Despite how strong Genevieve is, she shows just what a woman in love can do.

Genevieve doesn’t know if she will get the true Jude back once he is returned.  I loved the scene with the Arch Angel and her other friends.  Readers learn more about what the Arch Angel can do.  In addition, Genevieve keeps growing in power and displays some surprising gifts. 

Despite the darkness in most of the book, I loved the way the author kept me on my toes.  The Vessel Trilogy is one series to be read back to back to get the full impact of what is going on.  I will be reading this again, and look forward to more from this author.
