Made for Two – Made for Two Champions is the newest release in Madison Hayes exciting ongoing series based on futuristic life on the faraway planet, eYona, and it’s just as well-written and fast paced as the rest. Each book can, without a doubt, be read as a stand-alone, but better understanding of the characters and their ongoing relationships might be better served if they are read in order.
This one deals with the lives of two rival warriors in love with the same woman. In this case, the young and beautiful virginal queen, Yarionna. Ms. Hayes once again does a great job describing the emotions swirling between Camp, Match and Yari, giving a good understanding of what motivates their actions. This is especially true of Camp and Match who start out as bitter competitors for Yari’s hand, and end up as friends…sort of. It was a joy to watch these two men work through their differences and come together to keep the woman they both love safe. Ms. Hayes did an equally nice job in showing the confusion Yari was facing…a champion good for her people or good for her, and wanting to know why she couldn’t have both. I was thrilled with the author’s skillfully crafted, action packed ending with near death, betrayal and a personal resolution that allowed the queen to have the men she loved. Match, Camp and Yari might not have been expecting to find love and happiness as a threesome but that, along with fiery passion and blistering hot sex, is exactly what they get.
