Malcolm Henderson is unlucky at love and has a past riddled with failed relationships. He suspects his lover Guy Romer is having an affair. When evidence begins to present itself, he’s not shocked by the discovery but he’s definitely hurt. Guy is that man Malcolm thought he would grow old with. He’s the one person he thought knew him and would guard his heart as if it’s his own. Now Malcolm stands on a pinnacle and has to find the strength to confront his lover.

A last minute invite to dinner is the perfect opportunity to finally lay all their cards out on the table. Will Malcolm find the courage to broach the subject? Is this the end of their relationship?

Stevie Woods is one of those authors’ who just gets it. It doesn’t take an overly complicated story to present two characters that are strong enough to dance across the pages straight into your heart. Throw Me a Bone uses a simplistic plot and true emotion to deliver a message about love, commitment and communication. You could feel Malcolm’s anxiety over the idea of Guy cheating and moving forward without him in his life. I have to agree with Guy. Malcolm fails to see his worth. With so many damaging relationships in his past, it’s a wonder he could move on in a happy productive relationship with Guy. But, that’s what love can do. It builds us up when we need it the most, while supplying a foundation for us to build happy memories on. Well done, Stevie Woods! I look forward to reading more from you in the future.
