Charlotte was deaf, not dumb, but her father didn’t understand that.  She was a burden he desperately wanted to hand off to a husband.  Charlotte had the choice of picking an ancient husband, an alien husband, or being thrown out of her home. There was only one choice to make.  Maybe on Terran she’d find the Prince Charming that she’d been dreaming of.

Chief Councilor Borgoz had to come up with an alternate plan for the broken bride agreement.  Borgoz promised he’d be able to find Charlotte a mate but he wasn’t certain.  Would the males on his planet accept the sweet and gentle beauty with a disability?  What would he do about the minor problem of wanting Charlotte for himself?

After Charlotte and Borgoz give in to the heat building between them, things get more complicated.  Charlotte wants Borgoz as her husband, but Borgoz has different ideas.  He has reasons that make him the wrong choice for Charlotte; he just has to make her understand.  Keeping his distance from Charlotte is nearly impossible and drives Charlotte to make some life-altering decisions.  

Charlotte and the Alien Ambassador is the fourth installment of the Intergalactic Brides series.  Charlotte is another fortunate woman who finds everything she was missing on Terran.  Life wasn’t kind to Charlotte until she meets Borgoz.  Her family didn’t love her the way she deserved or see the wonderful qualities in her.  All they saw was her deafness.  I was happy that Borgoz saw how special she was right away, even though he kept trying to fix her up with other males.  Borgoz took his work too seriously and he didn’t really understand the bond between men and women until he met Charlotte.  I had to keep that in mind to explain why he was so strict about rules.  Thank goodness Borgoz came around just in time.  Charlotte’s father was a horrible person, and I would have loved him to get what he deserved.  Things weren’t perfect for the couple, but everything worked out as it was meant to be.  I think readers will enjoy this look into anther Terran love story and hope for more.
