From the moment humans first landed on Spectrum, there has been a battle between the paranormal residents and the invading humans who want to take complete control of the island. Amongst the invaders are a few fanatical scientists who consider the paranormal as nothing more than dumb animals to enslave. Although the original extremists are dead, their original plan for absolute power is attempting to be resurrected by some of the current generations.

The Archivist is the fourth book of the Spectrum Skies series. In this episode, London must contend with attacks carried out by individuals high on drugs while Pascal is being tortured in the underworld by the demon queen. The plot illustrates painful memories, regret, greed and discrimination.

D. J. Manly has created another enjoyable and intriguing installment to this series. The point I found most interesting is how uncivilized humans compared to the paranormals, deemed themselves privileged and superior to Spectrum residents, who are stronger, as well as have magical powers.
