Leo Deets is a fair man who doesn’t play games when it comes to a man’s livelihood. When he sees Koffe Collins, he can’t help but offer the man a job. Being fired for poor work is one thing, but as a show of power is something entirely different. Their attraction is mutual and as their friendship grows, the resentment of Koffe’s former employer gains momentum. Koffe knows Leo is hiding a secret, and Leo is unsure of how Koffe will react, but one thing is sure – Leo has no desire to have a life without Koffe being a part of it.

Brenda Bryce’s Koffe with Cream takes us to a small town where one wrong word could make it difficult to put food on the table. Koffe never expected to be in his current predicament, and refused to look a gift horse in the mouth. Leo felt their mutual attraction and rejected rushing Koffe into a sexual relationship. The two interact well, with very few awkward moments. Their conversations are relaxed and their chemistry builds steadily to volcanic proportions. I would have loved to discover the fate of their naissance and feel that would have been a special bonus for this story. Overall, I found Koffe with Cream to be entertaining. The tale has elements of humor, suspense, romance, and is a wonderful story about second chances, finding true love and most importantly, unequivocal trust and acceptance.
