A collection of Flash Fiction written in response to prompts
submitted by Thirds Series readers.
THIRDS stands for Therian-Human Intelligence, Recon, Defense
Squadron. The military style agency was established by the government for equal
rights law enforcement for all species.
THIRDS – Beyond the Books, Flash Fiction Vol. 1
features primary romance
characters Sloane Brodie, Team leader, Jaguar Therian and Dexter J. Daley “Dex,
Rookie, Human. Book 1: Hell
& High Water, Book 2: Blood & Thunder, Book 3: Rack
& Ruin, Book 4: Rise & Fall.
Ash Keeler, Entry tactics and Close Quarter Combat expert,
Lion Therian and Cael Maddock, Recon agent, Tech expert, Cheetah Therian are
featured in Book 5: Against the Grain.
Calvin Summers, Sniper, Human and Ethan Hobbs “Hobbs”,
Demolitions expert, Tabby Tiger Therian are featured in Book 6: Catch
a Tiger by the Tail.
A sneak peek at Austen Payne, Squadron Specialist Agent,
Cheetah Therian and Osmond Zachary “Zach”, Brown bear Therian, opening scene in
Rack & Ruin, Austen gets
hurt by a member of the Coalition. Austen
is in hiding and hurt, so Sloane asks Agent Osmund Zachary to protect Austen.
These characters will be featured in a future book.
Overall, THIRDS – Beyond the Books, Flash Fiction Vol. 1
is somewhat tedious to read, several of the numerous prompts are repetitive. The THIRDS series details Action, Comedy and
Romance with an in depth character descriptions and background. Readers who
have not read the series may have a hard time engaging with the characters. I
did enjoy the stories featuring the agents in their animal forms.
All royalties from this
book will be donated to the Big Cat Rescue. http://bigcatrescue.org/
