William Blackmore has been seeking his mate for quite some time. He is a vampire, and no mortal woman will do. At first glance, William knew Priscilla Dupris was his mate. All that is left is to claim her through blood bonding and sex. A simple feat, until he was confronted with a danger that could mean an end to both of their lives.
Priscilla is taken in with the handsome stranger from the moment their eyes met. William’s commanding presence would allow no less than capturing her complete attention. And before the night is through Priscilla finds herself agreeing to things no well brought up woman of the era would allow. But fate is a funny thing, and sometimes vindictive. Priscilla is left to fend for herself with one thought keeping her alive throughout the centuries: revenge.
They say that revenge is best served cold, and that is clearly evident in Dark Secrets: Blood Ties. Missy Lyons has created a fantastic story about love that has been found, lost and then found again. William never knew words could bite him in the butt and cause centuries of being denied the woman he loves. Priscilla finds herself wanting to kill and protect William at the same time, which I know was confusing to her heart and mind. The sex, when it finally came, was hot and torrid. The story is not drenched in sexual encounters (for those looking for a bit more action of the horizontal nature), but it more than makes up for it with plot and suspense.
