Finn Cormag has crossed into Beta dimension and is now with Ari. Finn has just changed from being a self-sufficient scientist to being a man without the means to take care of himself. His support system of family and friends is no more. Finn losses his identity and has no means of supporting himself in Beta. Finn tries to dampen the melancholy effect by remembering that coming to Beta also places him in Ari’s home, arms and bed.

People from Ari's dimension start to disappear and reappear so Finn decides to do some covert investigating in hopes of finding ties between his situation and the phenomenon. This research gives Ari and Finn time to gain clues to what is going on and to help their relationship blossom.

Finn is finally able to gain access to the man he has loved since he was young in Merge. I understood Finn's reluctance to rely on Ari too heavily. He has wanted this man for so long that he did not want anything to cause the perfect opportunity to sour into something not so palatable. Ari was nervous about pursuing more with Finn since he has just broken up with his lover mere days before Finn's arrival. The chemistry between the men was hot and tantalizing. They were two bookworms too sexy for words who had the power to turn the other on in a heartbeat. Chris Owen has written a wonderful sequel to Converge that is filled with mystery, suspense and invigorating lovemaking sizzling enough to curl your toes.
