Dawn’s friends take her to a sex shop named Don’t Spank The Vamp on her birthday because they think she needs to get out of her shell and start living life, not just for her art.

When Dawn first enters the shop, Aidan can feel her from his room above and thinks that she is his twin-flame, the one destined to be his mate. Aidan goes after Dawn. loses control and ends up tying himself to her. He also teaches Dawn about different types of sexual pleasure.

When Dawn is offered a show in New York to display her art work, she goes to the shop to share the news with Aidan and gets what she thinks is an unwelcome surprise and leaves. Aidan tracks her down and explains that old friends were visiting and that Aithne was not supposed to bar Dawn from going to his rooms.

While meeting these friends, Dawn is attacked by a vampire so Aidan, again, delays telling Dawn he is a vampire. Both fall in love with each other, but Aidan’s secret is starting to drive a wedge between them.

Don’t Spank the Vamp is a fun story with lots of sex and interesting scenarios. Ms. England paints wonderful pictures with her words, but also lets the reader in on all the emotional turmoil both Aidan and Dawn experience as their relationship progresses. Ms. England’s vampire has a few little characteristics that I have not read about before; I found Aidan lots of fun and Dawn is a good match for him.
