Each book in The Hammer series has chosen a different aspect, and this one follows two lovers on its fringes. It was nice watching Kendall and Eric explore together, finding out what did and didn’t work within their relationship. Learning that the BDSM lifestyle can be adapted to fit each couple’s individual needs, and it doesn’t have to involve caning, flogging or collars. This story is about discovering what new things work in an established relationship, building trust in sexual situations, learning boundaries and finding new friends to love and depend on during tough times. The inclusion of characters introduced in previous releases was just icing on the cake of a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining, sexy read.
