Fortunately, Landon is happy to see Lucian and introduces him to his boarder, Mapleton’s game warden Julian Danone. Intrigued and very attracted to Julian, Lucian renews his friendship with Landon, attempts to investigate Charlie’s death and tries to make sense of his sudden feelings for Julian.
Awakening is an intricate coming-to-terms romance. Lucian must acknowledge that he is gay and loves a vampire. Landon must confess to himself that the man he thinks he loves loves another man and Julian must deal with his past and stop running. The amazing D.J. Manly created a thrilling and immensely enjoyable story that begs for more of these vampires.
