Chante has a cat fetish that could have originated from her cat-shaped birthmark. Regardless of the source, it’s something she doesn’t plan to change. When a man with amber-eyes begins to follow her, Chante decides some distance is required, so she decides to visit her great-aunt in Jamaica. Surely, he won’t be able to find her there, right?

Joshi is a Prowleryn, a shape shifter whose tribe lives in remote African wetlands. He’s known all his life he was destined to marry Chante, a mere human and Joshi isn’t happy about the arrangement.

The time has come to claim his mate, and while Joshi is ready to proceed, Chante is not. Can Joshi convince his headstrong mate to submit?

Kate Hill delivers another action-packed, sensually laced story with Hunger. This is the first story of the Mate Marks series. Joshi is handsome, strong, smart, and sexy. The man knows how to thoroughly sate a woman’s body; unfortunately, his understanding of our requirements outside of sex wouldn’t help him conquer a hill of beans from some rambunctious ants. Chante is as smart as she is beautiful, and won’t settle for Joshi demanding anything of her regardless of how her womb sings a sonnet written just for him. I loved this about the character. She didn’t just fall in his arms and accept his explanation as the gospel. This made for a far more entertaining story. Kate Hill has started the series with a bang, and I look forward to reading more about the Prowleryn and the women who tame them.
