Mosaic Moon takes place six months after Emma is introduced to Gideon and Jesse and it’s clear that both men are infatuated. Well, to be honest, it’s definitely love on Jesse’s part. I felt sympathy for him, when he was trying to decide if drawing Emma into his relationship with Gideon was what was best for her or for him. And I’ll give Jesse credit, because he thought with the big head instead of the small one. Gideon, on the other hand, has been around so long that he sees what’s best for all parties even when it’s not clear to us mere humans. I understood Ethan’s plight, he knew he couldn’t cast a tiny shadow on the love that Emma felt for Jesse. But, his reaction surprised me when Ethan seemed to lose focus as to why he was brought to Chicago in the first place. And in my eyes, there is nothing worse than a man placing blame. If you’ve loved the series thus far, then you are in for a treat. If this is your introduction to Jesse and Gideon, I would advise you start with the first book in the series to watch the characters grow and the evolution of Gideon’s heart begin. You won’t be disappointed.
