SIBLING SURVIVALRY: Them MacCadáin Girls & Those Francisco Stiùbhart Boys is a story like none other. First, let’s take into account that Coinneach and Eòghan are immortal and from their description every tall woman’s fantasy. That in itself is worth a read or two. Secondly, Abeni and Tinashe are strong women who don’t take excuses or prisoners. A delicate balance of intelligence and beauty propel the sisters beyond the simple realm of the norm, and have them registering as keepers in any man’s eyes. There was a great deal of witty satire, but if I see the words “sully bastard” anytime soon, I may scream. While the sister’s situations and dialogue was hilarious and kept my attention, being privy to each person’s complete view on a situation made me lose focus. And I have yet to figure out how they travel with their “weapons” without causing an international incident, but I’m sure the training they received from their father was a great deal of help. The story as a whole was entertaining, but reading each person’s take left my eyes a bit glazed over at times.
