Charity Bradford did not want to participate in a charity auction which the owner of the company required of all executives from Vice-Presidents down, since she was the only woman. She felt that it would undermine her credibility.
Roger Morvan has wanted Charity since she started working for his company, but hesitated because they were colleagues. He decided he was going to bid on her and see where it took them.
Charity is upset with Roger, due to the amount he bid for her, and gets really upset when Roger pushes the issue because thinks she is a submissive.
Auctioning Charity is a journey of self-discovery for both Charity and Roger. Charity tries to come to terms with the fact that she really is a submissive sexually while Roger tries to come to terms about the fact that he has deeper feelings for her than just a Dom/Submissive relationship. The sex between the two is so off the charts in the heat factor, I had to keep a fan near me at all times while reading this book. This is one that needs to be on every BDSM lover’s bookshelf.
