Gorgeous hunk Sam Coles is a rising star in 1955 Hollywood and his newest movie, The Devil Inside, is thought to be the break-out role of his young career. He’s looking forward to the start of filming until he learns that Elijah McKinley has landed the role of his ‘bad boy’ brother. Sam knows Eli’s professional reputation is excellent, but he also fears that his attraction to the man will be discovered when the two are working closely on the set. It’s not long after filming starts that both Eli and Sam give in to their mutual attraction and desire. Soon they are quietly and carefully spending as much time together as possible, hoping not to be discovered. But even the potential danger to their careers doesn’t stop their love from growing. The biggest problem confronting them is what they are going to do when shooting wraps and their lives go in separate directions.

Jamie Craig has penned another winning gay romance with their latest release, Star Attraction, set in 1950’s Hollywood. Both Elijah and Sam are talented, gorgeous hunks, trying to live their lives in the often uncomfortable and intrusive fishbowl of media popularity. Having to hide their sexual preferences only makes things more difficult, forcing them into dating attractive starlets for the sole purpose of appearing ‘straight’. This story gave me a real appreciation for what men and woman in the limelight went through in the past, and still do today, to protect their lives and careers from the fear and hate of others. Watching Eli and Sam skulk around so they could be together made me sad and unhappy, but it also made me glad for the changes that have occurred in our world since the mid-1950’s. Yet, in spite of all their fear of discovery, Sam and Eli still came together in blistering hot passion, but above all, in tenderness and love.

I liked these two guys from the very beginning, and only wished them well as they tried to juggle their careers, hiding their growing attraction and love. This endearing story caught and held my attention from the opening paragraph and kept it till the very last word. These men are two great characters alone and when together they are perfect. I would love to see them again in a follow up story at a later date.
